Thought I'd share a humorous moment with you all. Last night, I was in a game of BTC with Infernal (who was blue, Thank God!), and the team facing us consisted of As Jesus, Satan and Trinity plus someone else (Allah?). Seemed like all hell broke loose for a while there, but we eventually won. No kidding!

Okay, here goes as your newest Air Marshall: what is it that sets us apart from other squadrons? Esprit d'Corps? Pack mentality? Working as a team whenever possible? Best pilots? Could be all or none of those things. One thing for sure, we should all want to know who our brother and sister wolves are, even if we don't know them well. Since I was first invited and accepted into this terrific group, it has been drummed into me that we are standard-setters with a sense of pride and mutual acknowledgement from the oldest wolves down to the newest. Everybody cares here. It is not just a ragtag bunch doing whatever the heck they want when they want to do it without concern for how it might be perceived. Also, it is expressly understood that we all represent the Pack at all times. This being the case, I think it should be a minimum show of respect for each other that we acknowledge the presence of a fellow wolf in a game. Find the time to say "hey". It's a start, and a reminder that we belong to something bigger than ourselves. What do you all think?

Dunc, I think all the things you mention set Wolf Pack apart. Our loyalty, supportive nature and being one big happy family is what attracted me to this squad a year ago. We should always greet fellow wolves and GI's rather it's in a game, chatting on world chat or offer advice if asked.

From our front page: Wolf Pack is an elite squad of skilled fighter pilots and like a wolf pack, squad members are sociable, loyal, they work together and always show respect. This squad is about playing the game, making friends, and having lots of fun.

We are now two squads. I supported quality over the number of new members a few pages back. In my opinion we have a chance to be selective and nurture new wolves.

Lastly, I'm proud of you Dunc. You've earned that title! Now is your time to train the new wolves. First teach them to say "hi" and then teach them to hunt the reds.

Sorry that was as far as I got for an introduction, it's a work in progress much like myself.

It seems every time I read Forum it's easy to sense the camaraderie emanating from every member of the Pack. Something I don't feel from the other squadrons. It truly is an amazing feeling.

I fly with a purpose. Knowing I may be by myself, but never alone. I belong to the Pack, just because Digger, Viper, and the other elites aren't present, doesn't mean they aren't there. Each of us have a personal responsibility to the Pack. Whether I win, lose, or get disconnected, did I make the WolfPack stronger that mission. I always enter a mission wanting the reds to say,"oh no, it's Skeeter." They have to hunt me, and kill me. That's my enjoyment. My point is, there is no prize in this game, no physical money, trophies, or anything tangible. Nothing to win. Only self worth, pride, character, and most of all brotherhood. Knowing when my wheels leave the tarmac, I'm flying for the WolfPack baby!!!

Okay wolves, I am getting ready for a short vacation and wanted to touch base with the pack before I leave. A few quick items I would like to cover.

First off, the G.I's are holding a weekend contest. They are our allies and I strongly encourage everyone who can participate to do so. When we hold joint contests we would like them to join and compete, and they are looking for the same. These kind of things help build a strong alliance and good friends within the game.

Secondly about saying hello to other wolves in games. While it is not a requirement both Digger and I agree we are a pack, all together, and should behave as such. That being said I think the squad officers would all agree in order to be considered for promotion to AM lots of factors, acknowledgement of other pack members being one of them, come into play. Realize we don't all speak English as a first language, and not everyone has their chat enabled, but our squad officers should and do set the in game example, myself and Digger included. I mean, seriously, if you cannot take time to greet our CO in the game, maybe you are in the wrong squad.

Finally, fly like a rookie day. This is every 15th of the month, and I strongly encourage all squad officers to participate. I know, it will effect your kdr, and you cannot fly with the better aircraft, but that really isn't what we are about. We are about having fun, killing reds, and flying with honor. I cannot think of a better way to express that by taking just one day a month and giving all the noobs a shot at you. Personally I do it every month. While I cannot make you participate I do encourage it. You will have fun once the frustration of flying against morafs who are in their top plane stops bothering you. I can say from experience after a few passes they choose other targets and you have a better chance. Also you will really appreciate your real aircraft much more, and it should make you a better all around pilot.

Okay, im off to work, then on vacation. Ill try to keep checking in. In the meantime, go kill some reds already!

Hi Larry and all,

I'm still here. I had to remove a player from our squad last night for not following the rules of Wolf Pack--and when doing so it put up the message you saw. We never like to lose a member of Wolf Pack, but rules keep the squad strong. Sometimes we are not a best fit and we wish them well in finding a new squad.

My apologies to all my brothers and sister wolves for my behavior in a game earlier today which earned me a temporary ban (my first and it is already lifted). The killing of a team killer is like taking the law into your own hands, there are more appropriate was of handling such incidents.

Now having said that....be advised all that there is a pilot by the name of "Sterlington" who is a team killer from the moment he enters a game and he thinks it's funny. Earlier he entered a game I was in and a red warned that he was a team killer, 30 seconds later he strikes a fellow blue. I attempted to reason with him he kills another and laughs. At this point I shot him down, asked how he liked it, a red GI told him to stop, I said kill reds he responded by shooting down another blue and laughing. I announced that he was now my only target and for everyone else to continue playing and I was told, "Bring it" by this individual. So I did, repeatedly. Then the red GI also announced that he was targeting this pilot only and asked to not be shot at, at which point I was kicked & banned so I don't know how things ended. During all this a red player did report this individual but since we initially were warned of his tactics this isn't an isolated incident.

Admittedly I was in the wrong also, but I'd do the same thing all over again, if time travel was an in game option. Maybe with a little less talking however. I submit myself to you for any squadron disciplinary action which I might have coming to me. Humbley yours Larry G

Larry, saw your message and I don't blame you for not taking crap from that guy. It sounds like the same behavior as the player 'As Jesus' was pulling and I reported a few days ago. He gunned down team members and laughed. It could possibly be the same guy.

As second in command of HGB, I wouldn't worry about it. I've no doubt Digger and Viper would feel the same way, as we all know you're a honorable member of Wolf Pack that was simply being targeted by a fool who shouldn't be playing this game. I'd recommend in future encounters get some screen shots and report on Blacklist.

Read your post and if you did anything wrong I dint know what it is. Ive done it too and have no remorse. Team killers are idiots and everyone in the game knows it. Once I was asked to have only one target a ream killer. My red opponents landed and waited for him ti have enough. He left shortly after. I think you were justified. Its my opinion but im intitled to it

Larry I have no remorse for team killers I say to the reds feel free to target the team killer and i will yours and then they soon leave or I will sit there with my brakes on so when the team killer wants to take off they crash They soon leave that way And Larry if you have one in a game I'm in please let me go after them

But I've not been able to get into a game since early this morning due to the servers being full, which has had the effect of dropping me back to #503 at the present, booooooo.

Congratulations to all the contestants who participated in the contest, particularly to Mayday for his rather spectacular kill-total of 1219 over the 48 hours of the contest! Thank you so much to Horriblebreast for running the show! We all had a lot of fun and learned a lot from the competition itself. At the very least, every contestants' world ranking probably went up a bit as a result of the effort put forth. As you can see, it was actually a pretty tight competition (other than with Mayday) and just a few kills made a big difference in ranking of the contest. I hope more of us wolves will participate in the next one!

I've flown with some of the younger wolves and you howl to them they are ignorant and WTB sorry about that my game crashes every now and then and plus begin busy with my business I am busy so much if I bail from a game it's due to work I will usally say gtg gg to those in the game if I can if not I'd just leave so its not begin rude or that
