End of the month time. Promotions, Air Marshal board, and I am thinking we need to reorganize HGC in Kevins absence.

My thoughts are we pick a MORAF, start a new HGC, and have all the current players move to the new squad, leaving Kevin behind until he comes back. The natural choice is Husky as he is the current Air Marshal in HGC and familiar with the personnel. Just a thought but several things will factor in. Husky may not be able to afford a squad or simply not want to run one. I have complete confidence in Husky if he chooses to take the helm. We do have MORAF's in others HG's, and Dunc comes to mind. We also have a great group of Air Marshals, any of which would be able to handle the job.

I am thinking out loud and am looking for feedback, input, and your suggestions. Right now HGC cannot grow without a MORAF so we need to figure something out or get ahold of Kevin (Which is actually my FIRST choice)

What does everyone think? Remember this isn't a popularity contest.. we need someone active who will help HGC grow, guide new pilots, and adhere to the WP code of conduct.

I would talk to Husky and see his thoughts then make a decision as to Dunc ! just a thought

What lil said but why not add say 1/2 of B & C into a pool and pull them out to refill B & C the other half of both stay put it will kind of mix it up and even out, just a suggestion though, anything is good.

I agree with Lil that Husky is a great choice! HGC needs some help--it appears to be on life support. Husky is well known and liked, so it's a great fit.

Summer is here and my life is getting mighty hectic without any signs of slowing down until October or so. I'd like to see somebody that is willing to put more of an effort into it, since I just wouldn't have the time to do the squad justice.

As for HGC Husky has been doing a fantastic job in kevs absence I pop on to chat atm as that's all I can do I will look for some pilots for HGC

That seems to be the norm over the summer months as we are all busy with vacations, kids out of school, things of that nature. Just look at the slow down of our thread and you can see that most of us are pretty busy with various aspects of real life. I appreciate your candor and know that the job is yours if you want it.

Another plan could be to roll HGC people back into either HGA or B, since we have openings. I haven't taken the time to do a head count but want to ask would that make our HG's too full? Good idea? Bad idea?

In order to make a squad work, you need to have a strong recruiter in my opinion. Someone who can bring in the new players and make them excited to be a part of the squad. That being said I think we should take into account a persons activity on WC as a factor. Bwolf was a perfect fit. LiL would have been excellent. Who else puts themselves out there with that kind of enthusiasm? Dunc perhaps? I know WC isn't a strong point for me which is why LiL made HGB so successful and Bwolf made HGA AND HGB what they are today. Unfortunately I am not on WC enough to know who has more activity, so I have to defer to the squad for advice. (Hope to turn that around once I level up so I can be around more in WC and not as much flying)

That's my .02 on the issue.

Sorry Larry. Credit where credit is due. This is a great idea (which I have also stated in a previous post) and it just may come to that. We would need an accurate head count. How many currently in HGC, minus Kevin? 6? That is only 3 per squad which should be easy to accommodate.

For the record, this is Larry's idea, and a great alternative if we need to go this way for the time being.

I have been gone almost a,whole month doing red cross disaster stuff in Texas for the floods. Coming home To this is like coming home and suddenly having a dying dog. I'm not happy about it. Husky came to mind first for me as well, and Dunc was right there as well. Husky has been solid and a huge help to us. Dunc has been on a mission for goals he set and achieved them. Larry makes a good point. I agree with rolling pilots into the other HG's until Kevin returns on a more regular basis. The other option is(as it was mentioned) having someone start another HG. If I was more active, I'd be honored to start one, but returning to work will only serve to slow me down some more. I just got the green light to go back yesterday. It will be on a moderate level with restrictions, but 9 months of being at home will finally come to an end in the immediate future for me.
Realigning the HG's is the obvious answer, I think. Reassign Black's pilots and move others as well to create an even distribution of power.
I'm in agreement with the idea of getting the Recruiting thread active. I'll help where I can in respect to that. Many times, I'm in Squad chat when I come across a new applicant. We need to get back to getting them to post on our thread to introduce themselves. 9 of 10 times I never have a clue unless i look at their stats, which tells me nothing about their character. Why not give LIL or Dunc the power to accept and dismiss people. They are the obvious choices since they are on the pulse of WC most days, and have them take charge of the recruiting thread on a regular basis. Have that thread be the place for any and all new introductions and communications relative to potential recruits. Once it's up and running and word gets out, people will go to it instinctively if they spend any time on the forum at all. It's also a place I would go to if i saw a new application for membership.
In reference to Dognamitt, who has volunteered to start an HG, he is an honorable pilot with the reins in another Squad. As much as I love the idea of Dogwolf starting a new HG, my fear would be him having to platoon back and forth between Squads. We all have an idea of how difficult it is to take care of just one on a regular basis. I have complete faith in Dog, and he has obviously shown what he is capable of, not only as a member of Wolf Pack, but also as a leader for TBH. With all due respect to Dog, and with all respect to his capabilities, not to mention that he's in bed (couldn't think of a better way to say it,lol)with one of our own, I think he's a great choice if he's up to the ultimate challenge. Consistency would be my only concern, other than that he's a go in my book.
Humor me here...Lil as leader of her very own HG with nothing but ladies in it. Charlie company would be the obvious relocation for them...hence my though for Charlies Angels...lol

I've noticed something lately, and it's that I'll see {WP} in a game, say "hi" and get no reply. Sometimes I do, but often I don't. There's also a lot of players that will just leave games after getting shot down a few times. This is NOT Wolf Pack behavior.

I guess I can understand why it would be hard to accept losing one of the squads, but I think, like Dire says, we need to cut back and go for quality over quantity. We need to re-do our vetting process and get rid of the slackers. We can't do this with three squads that we can't fill.

Somebody said that Charlie was on life support. It was like that because I would not stand for inactive new players, or players that weren't following the Wolf Pack code. Good ones are hard to find lately. I still think that we grew too quickly. If Blacky were still around on a regular basis, it might be different, but we have to live with what we have right now. Dropping Charlie is nothing to be ashamed of, it's more like trimming the fat, and I'm for trimming the fat.

Awwwwwwwwwwwoooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhllllllllllllllll all as you know I've been busy I had a few games yesterday and I will say that those games were quick lol however with Kev AWOL we do need to evaluate the situations that our pilots are facing in their daily lives don't get me wrong but I honestly think that if we do go back to just HGA and HGB might be for the best tbh with you then if we work on the inactive players those who have no forum or in game presence I think those who are having trouble flying but are active on forum are contributing factors to help this magnificent squad that's just my personal opinion

Let's start with Viper, and RC.. Two in a day IS fantastic, and while I don't know RC I sure know brother Viper, and know we're blessed to have him in the pack, as XO, and now as our newest MORAF.. Also Congratulations to Skeeter, and to our newest member Brand

Now on the issue of HGC, Kevin made me an Air Marshal when I transferred over to Charley, that was done more ceremonial than anything else, and obviously I haven't pulled my weight in any way shape or form.. I think you all get that im dealing with two cancers, and major chemo (wow that sounds scary lol, I'm actually doing real well, and docs really are positive about keeping me around) that being said my inability to play anywhere near my norm has caused a lot of issues im not proud of.. IE; not flying so not "hanging out" as much.. You old times know me, and I know you all understand.. BUT.. I sure haven't done anything to help Charley's bad stats.. The only thing I can offer at this point is from the heart advise.. "IF" we continue with Charley then let's do it behind Husky who has earned everyone's respect, and how about allowing dunc,, bad gal, and deli (and anyone else who has worked as hard as these three) to sign up new members as they see fit..

In other words, either a temporary "hold" on our third wing .. Or let those who are working hard jump in and give them the authority to make the wing grow.. That being said I remember over a year ago saying that quality is more important than numbers.. It still is!!

Who knows maybe we'll recruit someone who pays more than 15.00$ for a 30 pack... Just saying, also I need to publicly thank my Pard Myrlin for having the patience to not only make, but install my banner.. My personal slogan should be "I'm slow, but I do lousy work" .. James is neither of these, and a great friend to boot!
