Nvm: wrong post: dont know how to delete it

So I just started a game with Lil, a couple of GI, and a bunch of Misfits when I encountered either the Bermuda Triangle or the Twilight Zone. I'm not sure which. I had just got promoted when I flew into a cloud but when I exited it, it was like I was somewhere else. I could still see everyone in chat but I had lost all comms and had no visual on anyone. Just to see if I could get a response from other players I proceeded to bomb a hanger, it caught fire, my screen flashed "Hanger Bombed..."(and by flash I actually mean an on/off flash), then the fire died out and there was the hanger as if nothing had happened. Comms chat showed the game still progressing with no one taking notice, so I quit the game still not sure what that cloud I flew into really was.

Sojan nice list fair play that when I compiled the kdrs it took me 9hours to compile and double check figures for all HGs

Viper your words are so true I wanted to join the pack when first started the game but was quiet shy as I didn't know what to expect so I started to make friends then went through a few squads to start my own squad and that was a fail all together and then digger invited me now I'm a member of the pack wouldn't want to be in another squad

The games are messed up I end up leaving games now cause I cant enjoy them with radar issues invisable players making it unfair lag kills

I've had a few games without issues but thats like every 50th game I enter into

And all pilots of each hunting group are going well would be good to see all pilots at some point

On the lists. No doubt it is hard work and appreciated, but earlier on our ally GI's thread I saw some comments I think are worth mentioning here in WP. Listing KDR's etc. might create some animosity or a bit of division between players. That is most certainly not Wolf Pack--we are united, help one another and most importantly have fun! And I'm certainly not saying anyone is doing this by making any list, but it's something we need to keep in mind as we continue to grow.

My suggestion is we focus on positive things Wolf Pack players are doing. Such as a return to the monthly list of top 15 players that Air Marshals were posting in each of the Hunting Groups, 10K kill rewards and didn't we have a 'Wolf of the Month' acknowledgement? I like when someone writes about flying with a wolf or GI and how the game went.

We have an incredible group of dedicated and talented people in this squad. Let's howl, hunt the reds and keep it united as a pack!

But we need to keep in mind that no matter how good and bright any of us is: we can not make a pack without the others in it! I know this is the only pack I ever came in: but I feel pretty good saying that this is probably the most ballanced pack in every way! Actually, I would be proud to have any Wolf Pack member on my team as a bomber. I've been in recent games with LiL, Dogwolf and Kman--all were very good at firing away, bombing and defending. Supporting one another is key in game.


I have to share with you all that my first 50 hangars don't show in the record because they were all dorm and mess hall hits,lol! I didn't think those little green things were as important as the bigger buildings. I was so disappointed when I realized I had it all wrong! I would aim for the hangars then cut hard to bomb my targets. No wonder the reds seemed confused!

I've been up to 4,100 before, but had a hard time getting above that even without bombs, however, in the photos you posted that only shows 3,400. But yes it does show that you can get higher than 2,500

Trex, I think you were one of the first people I flew with on a regular basis. I remember it was a long time ago you proved you could do that with one bomb and now you've nailed that skill with two.

Dire I've manage to get up to 12k just remember when you got past 9k alt you have 0 again basically saying 10k when you hit 0 again but will say tho you come in like a rocket in a dive and if your not careful you may end up bombing yourself or crashing I've done this a few times and I am also talking from experience when I was with the RAF 122nd we had a WW1 veteran come down and told us the old altimeters would only show up to 9k pass 0 your 10k plus above the ground hope you all realise that if not then you have learned something new

Congrats DELI~ Always good to keep pushing and learning new things. I bombed a few times from high alt, but it's not easy. And if you have reds firing at you, it's even more exciting!

Ok let's discuss altimeters, and let me explain things as a licensed pilot.

First let's just say that the big hand pointing at numbers is in hundreds of feet, and the small hand is thousands of feet, very similar to reading a clock. If the big hand is on the 3 and the small hand is on the 6 it would be 6:15.

Now look at the big hand, it's pointing just past the 4 which would be just past 400 feet, maybe about 410 feet. Combine the two and you end up with 3,410 feet of altitude.

For you to be at 4,000 feet, the big hand will be pointing at the 0 and the small hand will be pointing at the 4.

I will post a screenshot soon (when I get to my ipad), which will show you what 4,000 feet looks like.

Eagle that is very true on modern altitude meters but with the elements ones back in WW1 remember the little lines they represent the feet of altitude on the game you have 2 lines in between numbers but there would be a few more tiny ones between them 2 lines I've compared the old and modern altitude gauges so 100foot of the ground you would be near 0 then it progress's upon gain of altitude I've been in a Tri-Star that has the modern altitude gauge they read digitally and tell you when your at 20,000 for example the gauge from WW1 however you needed to read manually every 30seconds to get to your required altitude say you want 4,000 your big hand would be on 4little would be on 0 this came from a British WW1 veteran pilot whom had his notes from when he was 17 back in 1914 cause the RAF wanted to have home protection and buy having Aircraft to protect home soil.

I obviously cannot disclosure the name of the veteran due to MOD reasons but this was taught to me in 2011 when I was 17 was in the RAF for 2 years and I remember that I thought the same until I learnt about the old altitude gauges

So you've got your dial that is slimmer than the other that means your gaining your altitude your thicker one is pointing at 4 now depending on how many revaluations the slimmer one has done is weather or not your above 10,000 every 3 revolutions = 10,000 as the in game has been halved the scale of a actual gauge it would be every 6 revaluations in game you reach 10,000 about 2-3 minute in flight in game where as in real life pilots took 4-6 minutes for 10,000 the timing has been cut half down so real life that would be around 4,000 in game if you've had 4 revaluations 4,000 6 you've at 14,000 just count every 6th revaluation you've reached 10,000 ft from the ground so many may not realise this but its the effect of the slim dial rotating that puts you at your 1,000s of altitude thus your right for real life eagle but in game has been scaled down
