Yep I've seen Firefox, seems a decent sort, except for a nasty habit of taking potshots at me, I can't understand why every time I go for a little jaunt or a little drive in my little tank people feel the need to shoot at me. I mean it's not as if I'm doing any harm is it.....IS IT!...

The storm hit where I live but living in the country the impact was much less and thing's are back to normal....(pretty much)

Everything fine here. Power finally came on at home, but the folks from the neighborhood that stayed on the boat last night are a joy. The "old gals" can surely cook! They can stay here any time.

KT, it isn't just you it's the game. And despite what Joaquin says, it isn't just Apple, I play via Android and the entire game is utterly f*cked. (Sorry Prodigies...retroactively cover your eyes) Can't enter a mission, just as you described, instant "Connection lost", same dead mission over and over...on the rare occasions when I do get in the left joystick control is useless, the lag almost unplayable, the whole game unplayable, really...then before the lousy mission ends, "Connection lost". I was 10k from ranking up two days ago. I'm still 7k away. I've had it. I'll keep current on the thread but I'm not having any fun in the game, so I'm through beating my head against it and trying to find workarounds to simply play at all.

I was in a game with gary the pink today and there seemed to be some players insulting him...That P&&&es me off more than messing with me....I jumped on his side and called myself a retard....Heh Heh....how right I am.... Anyway's I didn't like it so I stuck up for gary...He didn't need my help but I felt I had to....was a fun game for gary and I.

Wig, I do hope you stick with the MOMs on the forum, but if the crap with the game starts getting to you, take a break...its a game and noone needs to blow a valve over lost connections, teamkillers, or jumpy graphics... Try it again in a week, two weeks, a month, whatever... hopefully you can find the fun in it again after some time off (and maybe, just maybe, Z can figure out how to deal with some of these magical events in the game...) I know that taking a break, regaining perspective brought the humor back to trying to shoot a ping pong ball in a hailstorm...Richtofen should have been so lucky...

Whatever you decide, lets not lose your contribution to his forum and the idea of MOMness...part of what continues to make this enjoyable for all...you included I hope...

Thanks, BT, I appreciate the wise words. I've been doing as you suggest for months, taking mini-breathers while scratching for ways to keep the game functioning like a game, that is to say like something intended to be fun - while it's painfully clear that the developer can't hold up his end of the bargain. Some of us actually shelled out a few bucks purely to help him grow his business and keep Dogfight in step with its expanding player base. What we've seen instead has been buggier performance with each "update", excuses that don't hold water and resources diverted to "Financial Calculator" and "Orcs Must Die" apps while Dogfight deteriorates into a laggy, buggy, inadequately technically supported mess. I'll try now and then to eke out a little enjoyment but don't be surprised if I drop from a mission as quickly as I showed up. At this point I get vastly more pleasure out of spending time with my brain damaged cat. (it's true, she has Hyperdisplasia of the Cerebellum, can't walk a straight line, and is still more functional than Dogfight on its best day. She's also the sweetest living organism on Earth, that don't hurt in the comparison) I intend to be more, not less, active on the Forum with the time I'll save not beating on my phone with a claw hammer. Since I started this thing with Chet you M.O.M's have taken up space in my heart alongside the brain-damaged cat. Do with that info what you like.

Actually, I'd say the game is less glitchy. Do you remember immunity?

Emailing Joaquin gets me about as far as tying a note to a frickin' rock and trying to throw it from NYC through his laundry room/server center window in Spain, Calvin. If you can get an answer outta the guy you're a better man than I am, GungaIsAwesome.

I've tried everything from deleting essential apps from my phone, clearing out every cache, trying my gf's iPad, installing the DF "update" specifically aimed at "random crashes" (mine are about as random as death and taxes and Celine Dion) to uninstalling and reinstalling Dogfight. Now I've gone from Rank #47 to Aspirant with zero points who still can't get past "Connection lost" every bloody time I try to enter the game, same as Coop is experiencing. I've effectively just trashed months of effort in the face of constant lag and dodgy design and perpetual instability only to let the defective game throw all that work in the dumpster. WTFH?

No, but he does read them.

And that does what for us, C? We still can't play and I'm still out four months worth of stats and rank. And we have no idea what he's up to, if anything. I read The Times every day but that isn't mopping out the 14th Street station. Joaquin has a disaster on his hands, "he reads them" (but can't be bothered to reply) isn't exactly reassuring. He's clearly in over his head.
