Wig, Joaquin has ALWAYS listened to us, and he's always tried to do what we wanted. BTC? Watup thought it up, and he put it in. CTC? We wanted a capture the flag game. Those are additions, but he's worked with glitches too. Immunity? Gone. Crashing problems in the past, too. If he's in this for enjoyment, then why should he want us to quit? If he's in it for money, same applies.

What if one of us copied all of the dogfight code? Then we modify it just enough to not get in trouble for copyright infringement by changing all the planes into pigs with saddles and riders with guns and we change the name to "Hogflight Fighter Sim". Just think about it, we could all fly around on ours hogs and shoot each other down. Instead of parachutes we can use umbrellas and elephants in the place of tanks.

Actually, now that I'm reading what I just typed.....it may not be the best idea. LOL

OMG! Wow Coop that makes it not only sound like a plausible idea, but a darn good one at that. It shall be so. I'll start studying to do the code tonight.

P.S. It will probably end up like my guitar building project. Way easier than it should be but still never fully developed and utilized.

Two days ago a noob (Dario something)noticed that i have a MOMtag. I explained that it was a squadron name. He thought it was cool. Then i explained that It stood for Mean Old Men. He liked it. And i added that we like shooting down 12 year olds. He said he was 12! Funny, right? The highlight of my day! I could have told him that in real life i am a teacher and that my youngest pupils are 12 but that would be too much for him... Great kid.

No, actually, it IS that simple, Calvin. You start a business, you take a product to market, you make certain tacit (and contractual) promises to prospective customers, then you do what you have to to keep those promises. It's called customer service. More basic than that, it's called "business". What you're describing is called, "hobby". last time I checked, "hobby" did not include a product downloaded over half a million times in the Google Play Store and who knows how many times in the Apple store. I take your point and as always appreciate your input. But your point, like Dogfight, is fundamentally flawed. We veteran players can't play. Newcomers who've entered app reviews in the Google Play Store are giving DF one star and venting their frustration because they can't play. It's a broken game people cannot play. But he fixed "immunity"? He's in business, he's supposed to fix what's broken about his product. He doesn't get brownie points for that.

Saying Joaquin is a nice, well meaning guy - of which I have no doubt - and that he's incorporated game features suggested by players in the past doesn't alter the fact that the best player ever, Brian, can't get an answer out of Joaquin and can't play! "Servers cost a couple grand." "Okay, so...what does that mean? I should be grateful that he created CTC at someone's request...while the servers, code, whatever, are so screwed up that I have zero access to playing?" I've been here for a handful of months and in that time the game has never functioned as it should. And honestly, what business person says, "I launched this product internationally via Apple and Android, it's been downloaded over half a million times by Android users alone but I can't keep it in step with the growing number of users because I lack the few thousand dollars required." ??? "Oh, by the way, I have a new company name and I just hired my first employee!" Jesus, Cal, I've started companies on millions and I've launched new products on maxed out Mastercards. I know what it is to exceed expected traffic and to have to expand a server array, and I know how much it costs. I could post a Kickstarter pitch right now and in two weeks have enough to buy Echoboom Apps if he's really that pathetically underfinanced. What Joaquin does with his money is none of my business, I just want to play the game I paid for. No Squad Wars, no new mission types, no new planes...just fix what you already have - that you sold to me - so it works as promised and keep it that way. As it is now it's a broken product and if it can't be fixed I would like my $4.99 back, plus the price of the planes and upgrades I didn't need to buy, but did anyway to support his business/hobby/whatever.

If Joaquin is in this for money he isn't doing his job or I'd be playing, not typing, right now. If he's in it for enjoyment, the same applies. Businessman or hobbiest, you don't build something like this and offer it up to hundreds of thousands of users then let it collapse for lack of a couple grand.

And of course as he has sold the product and it is now broken, for many within less than 12 months there is probably a damn good chance that he is in contravention of trading standard regulations and various trading and retailing regulations/ laws of whatever country the player is in and if everyone who has the game in a broken state where to peruse the matter he would broke/destitute/finé in a matter of weeks, who knows there may even be case for fraudulent selling, that's often means prison. This is a serious matter, one that he needs to address very soon, like yesterday.

And if things went that way, it would of course involve Apple and Google as they are the outlets for his substandard product.

I'm not slating the guy, I think he came up with a wonderful idea and I don't want to see him dragged through the mud, but he needs to sort this out somehow. If needs an extra £ or $ from us to do so, then ask for it, he should be able to raise a few grand that way.

Just noticed...343 thank you's..how fitting moment of silence for my 343 brothers lost in the FDNY....Sorry gents was a little soft right there.
let that number stand please.

firefighters prayer
When duty call's me, oh Lord,
Wherever Flames may rage,
Give me the strength to save some life
Whatever Be its age.

Help me embrace a little child
Before it is too late
Or save an older person from
The horror of that fate

Enable me to be alert,
and oh Lord, guide my every move,
for life is so precious,
please don't let us loose.

I want to fill my calling and
To give the best in me
To guard my every neighbor
And protect their property

And if according to thy will,
That I must give my life,
Then with thy protecting hand my Lord,
I pray thee, protect my children and my wife.

Amen

I usually wont post this so im sorry if it offends anyone if so please let me know and i will remove it.
