Not sure which I prefer. Like TX I've never been a great fan of John Wayne although Rooster Cogburn was excellent.
But, by a fine margin, I'm going with the Jeff Bridges version.

My daily effort of futility: my son and I take about 300 pounds of red oak acorns out of the yard. Good 2 hour event that leaves you feeling like what folks pay a gym membership for. As we are bagging them up, we here the pleasant sound of acorns falling all around. The trees are beautiful and worth the work. Happy fall!!

Hi all, im still here in the backround. Can't post anything on forum picture wise but i check in often.

Lately my iPad exports pictures in .PNG format. Those are too big for the forum.
So I change them to .jpeg format by exporting them to SketchBookX, a free and simple photoshop-like app.

Just get the photo or screenshot from your photo library, save it (automatically in .jpeg) and export it back to the photo library of your device again. You'll have the .PNG and the .jpeg photo there then. Use the .jpeg.

Today was a big day for me. Eleven years ago today, I had my right foot chopped off. I broke my ankle when I stepped into a stairwell that I did not know was there. I was walking backwards. I suffered a 100% cartilage loss in ky ankle joint. The best choicr was to chop it off. Ended up being one of the best things to ever happen to me. Hard to believe...Tomorrow will be my twentieth anniversary at my department.

Wow!....not sure how to respond to that, but congrats on the anniversary.....at the department.
Maybe adversities are the best that can happen to us.

Let's face it, a lot of what's said here is right, and a lot of it is subjective rant. We all know the difference....and I can't deny how I enjoyed Wig's rants more that most else on the forum. Wig was deeply wounded by his ouster. It was magnified when the entire squad didn't summarily quit in protest. He never got that M.O.M is a group, not an individual. Like Ronnie, I enjoy hearing from him.

It was surprisingly easy. The amputation was outpatient. I went in at 1. I was home by 6 eating tacos. I went from oxycodone to Advil in a day. I was back to full duty by February 15th. Would have been sooner if the physical therapy clinic didn't close for Christmas. I believe in mindset. I was going to heal. When I face a bad guy, I am going to win. No other possibility exists. It makes a huge difference bin outcomes. Ronnie, I know you know what I am trying to say.
