Perhaps the solution is not to fly several tags, this would depend greatly on how many active players we have currently, but maybe we should just stick to the 50 members and become very exclusive and only take on players when we have a vacancy, and if they really stand out. This could eliminate the need for an admissions board, and make admission to the squadron by unanimous vote only.Or if we were to use an admissions board perhaps they could just narrowed down candidates and then the squad could vote

I don't mind culling some folks. I have taken a few months off myself. Nice to come back still part of the team!

Haven't been around.
Been spending more time on my RC, Drone's in particular. looks like the FAA's new proposed rules are looking up for drone commercial use.... As far as a Private Pilot's license, I can't agree with that one. I've been an A&P (licensed Airframe & Powerplant) for 30 years. I work on the very systems that help pilots. I also get to see first hand what a bird strike can do and then I get to fix it. Flown RC for just as long.
Think I'll go plow the Driveway.... Cyall in a month or 2 again.......

Hi guys. Looks like a lot of things has changed since my last visit. DF has had maybe +15 updates since I played last time. I've been mostly on "other game".

I've thought a lot about coming back. I still have a lot of things to do on studies, so theres not really time for playing anything that lasts longer than 5 minutes.

Anyway if you are making new sub squads, count me in. I'll be playing again in a few weeks. I hope...

Well with poo and other word's like it being the flavor of the day. I guess no one will get to burned up over this one.

As far as the group trying to figure out how to best get this squad back on the right track. How would you guys think about starting a new thread under "The Official M.O.M Tread" so we can keep track of all the different ideas that have been proposed? Many great ideas have been brought up however, until Muck is able to be here on a more regular bases. Many of them could start to get overlooked as this get's all ironed out.

I am currently MOD of ZILLA, Muck asked me to stay until he could get this all ironed out. I have not heard from him for several days, I have also been absent from here and the game.
I do believe we need to make sure with all the back and forth we have all gone thru, no one (or less then we already have) gets to frustrated with it all and moves on to other squads.

I grew up in an environment that was built from, counting on the core group of friends that you ran with. This built a bond, and a trust that you just knew, you had your back covered when your cards were down. I know here on this forum and game we all intermingle with other squads and players (as we all should) but, it has really surprised me when we see our members call it quits and move off to another squad. Why not come forward like several M.O.M's have and at a minimum tried to bring some input on how to move threw this? I also understand that feeling of coming here looking forward to reading something funny and seeing the "doom and gloom" that seems to be contagious sometimes. There is nothing wrong with stating an opinion or an idea, however some more attempts at the humor and fun that M.O.M has been so well know for, would be very nice to see take off, and could be a very big help at getting us back on track!

I think anyone of you would make a great MOD or Air-Marshal. If I had to pick from all the names, it would be some of the more recently active players.

It has become clear to me that a squad, any squad must have a core group that share the responsibility of running the day to day. It is not fair to expect any one person to be present enough to do that justice.

I don't know enough about the construct of the squad controlling factors/positions to begin consideration of how many are needed to do it right.

But it needs to be done. A squad should not live or die by any one person.

I am busy with full time work, rentals and playing this dam game. But I would consider assisting in some way for now if I could be helpful to the squad.
