Guys, a fellow M.O.M and good friend just made me aware of yet another act of impossible ignorance and insensitivity on this forum. PistolPete has actually referred to Buckgeo as the "Dogfight Taliban" apparently because Buck posted screen caps of a Misfits chat room title (or whatever it was, as if anyone gives a damn) that anyone could see by searching "Misfits" in the publicly available chat app. It did not reveal sensitive "classified" Misfits information. It did not enable a single unauthorized person to access the chat room or its contents. And yet, even if it had...

"Dogfight Taliban". The remark is offensive on more levels than I can count.

141 innocent civilians, nearly all of them children between the ages of eight and seventeen, were slaughtered last week in Peshawar, Pakistan by the Taliban in what was only the most recent of their brutal massacres stretching back over the better part of the past two decades. Mass murder of children, oppression and unspeakable violence to women, privation of hundreds of thousands, human trafficking, the destruction of tens of thousands of homes are among the preferred tactics of this religious fundamentalist movement.

There is no excuse for trivializing something so horrifying and real, to say nothing of the anguish of the families of the children and teachers in Peshawar. Certainly not ridiculous mock military zeal over a video game.

One year ago today i took this picture.
This was from my hospital bed.I couldn't get past the home screen as any association with the word dogfight was blocked/banned.The whole hospital seemed lead lined and couldnt get a mobile signal.I could even get out my bed for 9 days for tubes to go out to get a signal.
Got to be a better xmas this year.
