Thanks for the interest Killerbadger but my gut says no. But that's just my gut. I usually go with it though. In fact I never leave home without it. But It's not infallible. It could be wrong. So as per Rule 6 (see the "gut check, conditional waiver of," subsection) I'll reserve judgment until I hear from others, or from their guts, or from Jimmy, or Jimmy's gut.

Meanwhile what do you call yourself in game? Killerbadger doesn't come up in the rank charts.

Anyone else or their guts have any thoughts?

Ah, I see Mean Ole, or his gut, has already chimed in above, with an opposite view. See that? Rule 6 in action! (BTW if no one else chimes in to break the tie, under Rule 6 it's pistols at dawn for me and Mean Ole. That can only end tragically for me.)

I intend to change my name back to Killerbadger.

All of which makes me appreciate that much more our own Brian Strachan who recently blew past this raging a55hole in the rankings. Among the reasons we came together to form M.O.M one was to include people like B, Bopes, SheiBe, Tex...another was to EXclude jagoffs like Mizzter Bizzi. So far, mission accomplished. By the way, I shot him down four times. If he doesn't like my saying so, he can come and call me gay again. That oughta teach me...

wow dosent sound like the bizzi. I know he is realy a nice guy :(

I felt compelled to post this guys i hope you dont mind (puts a lump in your throat)

this poem is for kevin.......

One More Roll........

We toast our hearty comrades who have fallen from the skies, and were gently caught by God's own hand to be with him on High.

To dwell among the soaring clouds they've known so well before. From victory roll to tail chase, at heaven's very door.

As we fly among them there, we're sure to head their plea. To take care my friend, watch your six, and do one more roll for me.

— Commander Jerry Coffee, Hanoi, 1968.

Yeah, that's what I'd heard, B. In this case he was anything but nice. Maybe he was pissed cuz I had disrespected his silly name and made him seem like a joke, but that's no excuse for the homophobic remarks. Sounded like a gay-bashing moron to me. I mean, c'mon...who still uses "homo" as an insult? To a stranger? In a game? Unless maybe he's 12. (sorry Sputster, I know you're much more mature and tolerant than that)

Mad... Thank you for sharing that. It really is quite a beautiful poem. As for Monday, I'll be flying at 9p EST. I look forward to seeing MOM banners climb into the skies. To the other squadrons who are planning on participating, thank you so much. This is just a small gesture to show that a fallen comrade will never go unnoticed. I say we add a roll to the bomb release, we could even drop bomb while inverted. That way we stay up in the clouds....

My gut can't digest non-responsive answers, killer.

So maybe read through the thread again from where you first posted wanting in, read others' responses (dentinhead, dogss, etc.) and then address all that in one post, so everyone can be clear on where you stand, OK?

Thanks for the great poem Mad. Brings to mind another one:

"High Flight", by John Gillespie Magee, Jr.

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
 And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of — wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there,
I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air....

Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace.
Where never lark, or even eagle flew —
And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
 - Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

bopes, this has always been my favorite poem.. If you younger people or those who don't have an aviation background or anyone for that matter, Google, John Gillespie Magee, Jr.. It will make the poem even more remarkable when you read of when and how it was penned.. Thank you for posting it..

This poem was the narration to video of a jet plane flying high into the clouds that was played on local TV station at sign off every midnight. This was back when I was a very young kid. In the days when we only had 3 or 4 stations. I have loved that poem ever since.

that's really weird I used to play him almost everyday and he was never like that /: he was always really nice and would say "good job, nice shot" and such. Maybe he was having a bad day /:

Your making me remember things now oedius.. They played that on the "Arm Forces Network" AFN as well.. I remember it now when I based in Germany back in the 70's.

Wow that's my mentor there. Played with him everyday when I was coming up.

He's a real funny Guy and might have been joking he gets pissed sometimes but usually that results in the other player stuck on the ground. Never seen him act like that seriously. I have joked around with him when other people thought it was serious. Might be a mis comunication there. He's close in age to me 29 could have been someone using his phone. Played with him three nights ago he was his usual self.

I will try to fly on Monday. Bomer, I will fly for you, too.
I have a new invention to fly without feelings in your hands.
On Tuesday I get spinal cord surgery.
50-50 chance for walking & feeling again.
Anything happens? "LEGENDOFKANE" and I will meet again and talk shit about you folks...our friends. Stay well & learn to spell.

FLYING WITHOUT TOUCH...GLOVES.

Luna, my dear, keep them in line. You are refreshing here.

DENT, pee in my garden as much as you want. And, I never told you....you look great in FLY'S teeth.

BTW congrats to Big Tex on leveling up today to air vice marshall.

Also I learned in same game that Big Tex recently got his eldest son playing Dog Fight. I told him we have to amend the rules to include automatic Prodigy membership to MOM offspring. That's got to be a membership benefit, no? Maybe its already in Rule 6 somewheres...

Now if I could only tear my 14-yr old away from his Metal Gear Solid games long enough to give DF a shot.

Paul,

All my best on the surgery. Dream of Wig in your sights and pressing the trigger...heck what am I saying...dream of Kate Upton in your sights and pressing her trigger. If you see a bright light think of it as Zandor Hawke flying the MOM banner and get away as fast as you can.

Let us know what day we should expect an update from you!
