Lets see...you shoot me down like 10 times and I get you twice (no, I'm not keeping count...stop looking at me like that!) and I'm the great pilot?

It was fun and I really don't hate you...much.

I get paid in this squad! Supposedly I'm supposed to be treated like dirt as playback for being young, but that doesn't usually happen... So I guess I'm not really paid here :P

No. We get paid in cake - we have to eat it every game. It's in Rule #6

Conoco, we treat you like we treat each other, like dirt. Mainly, because we are older than dirt!

More people need to read rule #6. Thank you for being diligent.

Our money’s not here! Wait a minute, now, let me tell you. Let me tell you. Our money’s in people's houses! In the Kennedy house, and the MacClaren house, and in your house, people’s virtual planes and upgrades! In the Wigbomb plane, and the Conoco plane, and . . . and a hundred at least fifty others. We all put our savings .99 cent increments and virtual coins in here until we max out our planes and upgrades and then we make loans to people to buy homes and cars and other things rack up more virtual coins that we can’t spend on anything. Now, what are you going to do? Take their homes and cars planes and things and from them?!

Michael, condolescences to you and your family. From what I knew of Kevin, and it was in here or in the game, he was very respectful, honorable, had a great sense of humor, and a great pilot. Again, my deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Kevin, you are a legend in our squad!! Every plane I shoot down, every tank, blimp, and carrier I destroy, will be in your honor. Fly high my friend!!! You will be missed by all. |\/|

I love Conoco.. She should be our guideline for Prodigy membership.. She read and understands the Rules? Which understanding them is an accomplishment in itself. Quick with witty comebacks, excellent banter. Understands our Sqadron Mission ( ain't one, don't look) totally understands Rule#6... And CAKE... I think she's the daughter we Never alwas wanted..

Keep up the great work Conoco, always keep em guessing..

I'm so sorry he passed away :(
He was a great pilot that unlike others of his rank didn't get mad when shot down by higher ranks
He was a TRUE mom

First, I suspect Michael has fulfilled Kevin's wish to pass along his letter and has now moved on. With what he and his family are enduring right now I don't expect him to return to the forum anytime soon.

From all that's been suggested it sounds like a "no fight flight" is the most fitting tribute, we just need to settle on a time. Since we're a global community we might want to consider a couple flights at different ends of the clock to give as many people as possible a chance to participate. Please offer some times you think make sense and I'll put the word out here and to the other squads.

Join a mission, share some truce time just flying with fellow players - stay for a minute or as long as you like, drop out, sign into another mission so we can interact with as many of each other as the game allows - be sure any players who might not know the story are made aware so they can participate in the tribute flight or choose to bail...and devote at least a few moments of time to spinning up to the ceiling then looking down as Kevin's letter suggested. If you'd like, do as dogss and I have and when you get ready to leave climb to maximum altitude, cut your throttle, crash, then exit the game. Everyone do whatever he or she deems an appropriate tribute, just so long as we're flying (quietly, as Kevin said) together.

Thanks to Slenderman, Calvin, Coop and [e]enigma for their support. You guys are a class act.

Your not too confused. You have obviously confused us with your parents. So: NO, we are not buying you a car. NO, we are not replacing your cell phone you lost. NO, we are not driving you to soccer practice, take a bus. NO, we are not letting you anywhere near M.O.M.. NOW, go to ZandorHawkes " Some advise from M.O.M" thread and read your new 10 commandments. They may keep you from further damage..

Prodigy, NOT.... :woohoo: :pinch:

I'm not sure about the others but yes I'm getting paid. I was hesitant to join but the 100K signing bonus did the trick. I've also got a big corporate sponsor (Geico) behind me. Just look for the airplane with a big lizard stenciled on the wing. ;)

Dawson, I neglected to mention you, you're one of the first and classiest players I met after joining the game. Thanks.

Yep, SheiBe, you're spot-on; Conoco and Sput are already doing us proud. The Prodigy concept was a little touch-and-go at first but it's vindicated by these two. Clearly The M.O.M Stuff is non-age specific!

Awaiting suggestions on times for the Legendofkane memorial flight...

Regarding Kevin...wow. When he first posted I was a bit skeptical of his message (I mean who joins and then posts he's dying) but a number of you reached out and in the end you touched him. Do not underestimate what your small act did for him in his last days.

I toured the medical examiner's office today (long story) but I saw three corpse in states of undress in the morgue and the bones of a fourth. In the end most of us will end up in the same place in all of our naked glory. No matter how rich or poor you are or what your views are today, we will all end up in the same place on this earth. It's a reminder that we are here for the journey and not the destination. All that you leave on this earth are memories and I hope everyone strives for those memories to be positive.

I am left with the memory of Kevin and the thought that I could have been a better person and reached out to him. I can be less skeptical in my life and when I forget this lesson, I'll think of him. Within me Kevin will live as long as I do.

Rest in peace and enjoy the next journey.

I got an idea this will be special for Kevin
When atleast four moms are in game
We fly as high as we can go with our bomb
And once everyone is as high we let go of the bombs
In tribute of kevin
:(
Also we through the cake in the sky
Just in case Kevin is still hungry :(

Zandor, you and me both. Kevin made huge impact on me and I wish I could thank him in person. Just another reason for us all to stop taking life for granted. And especially stop taking those people around us that we care about for granted. We can even be that way with people we don't know.

This is my first logging on since last week and I am deeply saddened to know that Kevin has passed. His name should always stay on the roster to remind us of what to look for in others and to try to find in ourselves. Sadly, I don't believe any of us knew him outside of the game or the forum, but what we did know of him was well worth remembering. He had a great since of humor and was an outstanding player. I will look for him in those clouds and I feel that we should fly as high as the game will allow, drop bombs, open a beer, and eat some cake. His in game name is quite fitting, as I believe we will be talking about him for quite some time.

Keven, fly high brother! Keep an eye out for a redheaded dweeb named John. Might just be my lil brother, it so have a chat with him. I promise he will have you laughing just as much as if you were reading the forum.

Hat tip to ye Zandor. Well said.

Off topic and before I forget, trigger and I recruited Transporter earlier. Seasoned ace, excellent addition. I told him I'd put the word out and to drop by the thread to confirm so Wig can do the banner honors.

On a separate note, Bopes and I were flying against each other and a pilot joined Bopes red team by the name of Transporter. Great pilot! He shot me down so many times just before I was able to bomb the carrier and other clutch moments. I asked him his age, and after some encouraging from Bopes and I, he stated he was 55. We told him to read the forum and we would love to nominate him for a spot. Are there any other opinions out there on transporter?
