If "someone" was using 2 people to play on one account, would that be cheating? Or just cheap? I just want to know what everybody thinks about this topic.

I would consider it cheap in the sense that if it was a subscriber account Zup deserves twice the money, or I would consider it "cheap" for said "someone" to be doing this and then be touting how great their stats and ranking is.

If a person has to resort to getting someone else to play his account to get credit for accomplishment then it is cheating and very bad form . The idea of getting credits and accolades for performance as an individual in any game no matter what it be is just that ( individual performance ) . The right thing for someone to do in this case would be to ask to be excused from the points system . But the people who would resort to this probably dont know right from wrong and we can only assume they are still adolescent and need tuition in this area . Your conscience ....your decision . Personaly I would not feel I have achieved anything if I had to resort to this . I definitly would have no respect for those who did this . The exeption to this rule would be if a squad member was seriously ill and one of his wishes was to make moraf and he was unable to play due to his illness . I have seen this used in the past . Permision was asked and a wide sector of this wonderful dogfight community pitched in and helped . This person is loved by all and it was a privelage to help . But if the person using two people to play his account to get to say number 1spot then this only proves the person is not really as good as he thinks he is . Just my opinion so shoot me down in flames if you must and you are free to post disagreeing opinions . Only a fool hides behind a mask of pretence .

This may just be a game, however some morale principles should apply as it is multiplayer /multi international. Meaning would you sell one a pound of meat when in reality it's only three quarters of that pound?

Seriously, if someone's doing that I think it's cheap and I kind of think it is cheating. Not sure how that can be proven, but to get sick stats time and time again requires consistent flying time.

Luna and I have been sharing an account for quite some time. I never thought it was too much of a big deal.

There is so much going on in this game that how true are everyone's stats? Whether someone is sharing an account, using glitches, other ways to improve stats, or playing as fair and honest as they can, there is too much of a varience out there for me to think about comparing my stats to another player.

It would be nice if all played accordingly to the same type of guidelines, but as we all know already that is not the case. Some players may share an account for the wrong reasons, such as padding their stats, whereas others may share it for honest reasons, such as just to play the game for fun or financial reasons. Upgrading to a better plane can be very pricey for some and playing in starter planes simply stinks so they may be taking advantage of that and I can't blame them.

Bottom line for me is that I play each game that I enter as hard as I can. Hopefully I will come out of it with good stats, if not, no big deal. Where those stats take me down the road, so be it. I never figured that I would still be here playing this game in the first place.

After seeing many different points of views as to what is considered fair and not fair play, this to me is just one more to add to that list. Don't most players say let everyone play how they want and who am I to tell anyone how they should play this game? So why should this be any different.

I play this game for fun and I sure as heck do like it and I hope everyone else does too, whatever their choice is. To each their own.

I know a few that share an account. I've let others fly with my device before. It's easier than changing the log in details on the one device if it is shared (e.g. a father and son using dads phone to play at different times).

Cheating? no I don't think so. Cheap? maybe but not everyone can afford to give their kids a new cell phone to play DF.

I am too using my son account as he occasionally play. For more than 6 months it's Vivek only playing as BlueFighter. When we are playing together I usually play under my account as [NLR] Red Fighter. I don't see any problem using my son account when I bring his rank from 146 to 9 totally on my skills.

I often share my account cos the other guy is far better than me , but then again he is Bi- polar.. So if you see him playing well please say hello to me.

So the account earns points and coins faster than if only one person plays it... on the other hand the players of the shared account would not have as much experience (hours) as a player of a solo account...

There is a fine line between sharing your account with family/friends and sharing your account for benefits/climbing up the leader board. I totally accept with the first part & feel pity for the...you know who.

As long as they don't play at the same time, there should be no problem.

There are some records here that I have beaten but I didn't report nor posted them because it was against new players, easy easy kills.

Therefore it was something I didn't earn. Now if there would have been at least one good player than I would have accepted it.

When I got my 475 kill game it was completly earned.

I wouldn't mind any account with two players however I would mind if they accepted accomplishments that single player accounts are fighting for. I hope this makes sense to you all

I for one have NEVER had anyone play on my account. If a friend wants to try this game, I let them fly a practice mission. Maybe I am just a purist. But my accomplishments are mine alone.

I used to let my five year old son play my account until I started taking this game (somewhat) seriously. If you don't believe me, just look at my KDR!

Some months ago, I felt fed up, got angry (no meds), and decided to quit playing, then I gave my tablet to a cousin. He asked me if he could play using my DF account, and I said "why not?"
I just changed some settings (google play password, for example), of course, and gave him the thing.

He played for some werks, and then got married and moved to Mozambique (work), and for what I know, he stoped playing. Wives...

But thing is: I know he shown the game to his friends, and many of them are playing the game right now, because of this sharing-publicity. You welcome, Zup...

About the original post`s question, my humble opinion is: I couldn`t care less, cuz if the 2nd player is better than the account owner, he is wasting his time (cuz he could use his time on his own account, huh?); and if the 2nd player is worse than the owner, the owner is wasting stats.

And after all, as Octavia and Dognammit said, there are tons of good reasons for sharing an account.

I, for example, wont let anyone play for me, but I dont see any wrong on it. No cheating, no cheap play.

Actually, now that I think about it it isn't fair at all. I hereby declare with a the power invested in me and all the bluster I can muster that shared accounts must donate all of their winnings to charity.

(Or in certain cases it can be used for medical bills.)

Theoretically a group of players (a squad) could share one account just to try to get the top spot. Six players could do 4 hour shifts just to secure the top position so it would be held by their squad... nah. Now that would be pathetic and I can see why others would be annoyed. This is the kind of thing that would happen if DF players started taking corporate sponsorships; the [Pepsi] team vs. [Coke]…

This reminds me.of one conversation where people were suggesting to set all new kill records by taking over servers and intentionally driving stats. Fortunately integrity prevailed there.

Its really UNFAIR!!! Cheap act of status padding . I use to wonder how some are flying 24*7 and felt amazed on there hard work and when I came to know Its two guys playing on same account what to say its just ptty.
