There is nothing better about the game than when you are playing great and the stats reflect it. Being awarded for it with a medal or a good ranking must be a good feeling too.

In some way though I do get a laugh from it how we are all still kids inside, myself included. Remember the days of grammer school when we all looked so foward to receiving a smiley face or a star for doing well? So for everyone who is proud of there accomplishments in DogFight, this one's for you. Just copy and paste it to your profile page...

My bad,I misunderstood some of the discussion. I don't agree with two people using same name and account in game,I never put much thought to it. It sounds crazy but nothing surprises me nowadays. I don't agree with alot of things but cheating,maby cheap definitely. I have second acc that was for girlfriend set up long ago and check it occasionally. I didn't want her messing up what I had accomplished.

As I recall while playing my Activision pong home set which had twist knobs for controllers, it was still a competitive game against an opponent who could breathe and that person was just one person. Whereas Pac-Man was a single player game against bot ghosts so my point, at least you're opponent in pong was next to you and you could look into them eyes, not to long though as you might miss the dot on the black n white but honest game and we all want to win.

Yes but if somebody else is playing on your account you're still competing with an individual not a robot. The individual you competing with may or may not be a skilled as the owner of the account if they are not then while they are racking up points to benefit themselves you are racking up points killing them to benefit yourself so it really doesn't make any difference who's at the controls

Well then, next time my boys have a karate competition, I will introduce that theory to their instructor. Hey master B, he's behind in points, let's throw in someone who can get more points for the win but give the win to my son. I'm sure my son would not understand why he won or why he received the award.

Guess I'm old fashioned like that, let them earn they're own respect, let them earn something regardless if it's karate or a game. Let them be in control and not someone else.

It's too bad world rank isn't based on merit instead of just total points. The way it is is like giving the karate trophy to the kid who has been training the longest instead of the one with the greatest talent and skill. To me it seems more of an "honorable mention" than a hard fought accomplishment.

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any equitable way to determine "the best". Let's see if elite solves this.....someday.

Have seen so many kids heart broken over that issue, yet it's a great learning curve. A tool in life that allows them to experience defeat although they out performed the competition and still have some judges who approach and encourage them to continue to improve and excel.

My guitar playing has improved immensely at the cost of falling from World rank 51 to 80 something. I was playing during lunch the other day when a lady came up and slipped a dollar under my cell phone on the bench next to me. Lol! No one ever slipped me a dollar while playing Dogfight!
