The question is pretty simple to me. Would you pay 1-5 bucks for a month/year/lifetime to play the GREAT game because we will have no servers soon Not what would like to change about the game.

The answer from almost everyone on this forum would be yes, BUT there are ALOT of people not on this forum who are casual players or perhaps even VETERAN PLAYERS who don't play often enough to justify paying a monthly fee. WE DONT WANT TO LOSE PLAYERS

I wonder why no one has mentioned advertising yet? I wouldn't mind a 30 sec ad when the game launched or somthing just so that we can have working servers to play on Then just have an AD free version for $5 bucks or something.

That way the not so active players can still play the game and buy upgrades And there is AD revenue as well as the 5 bucks Zup is asking for. EVERYONE IS HAPPY!

I think this may be the only way everyone is happy. When the game is safe and we have servers to play on. Then I think there should be a discussion about better servers and better features.

I'll pay 10 bucks or so...i don't think it will stop the ill intentioned though,they like challenge too meaning they'll pay top dollar too just toannoy the premium servers. I would expect with premium servers to have management/moderators back.

Well, if some one can pay 5 per month, it's ok. Pay it even if the real it's only one dollar. I don't know why many pilots say that they can pay more than that, well, do it, but you must understand the consequences about market. You know the game, but you think that a new player gonna pay that? If he don't know about this community he gonna pay that?

The price must be lower, and if some one wants to pay more, then pay twice.

Sir J, you are right about the price of devices. It is almost same in all countries but not for every commodity.

Even though some price are same,the per capita income of different countries will be diff. That shouldn't be forgotten.

One more thing,u cant find much iPhone or iPad users in India. When an iphone 5S cost USD 149 in US, the same product cost Rupees 42000 in India(roughly USD 700). So those who cant afford those go for indian made phone,with android OS,which is cheap as USD 50. They play games like Dogfight and asking them to pay 'too much' for a mobile game wont attract much players from these part of the world,sir.

Omg! . I do not think that most people know what it takes to run something like this game.
Sure add it up, 5 dollars per person is a lot , times all the people that play. However, I think Zup, said 5 dollars for life of game...That is a one time fee, where he has to pay for the servers continuously.
Really, Think about it.

Even if you cant afford the premium version straight away you can still play the laggy free one while you put something away each week until you have the money.Anyway pricing out these players can only be a good thing.I can only imagine how terrible the internet connections are in these countries which creates half the lag problems anyway.
This leads me to the point where the game must check latency and kick the laggers out paid or not.i dont want to pay for the game for someone to go throttle their connection just to create lag and ruin it anyway.

I think the dollar a month is fine so long as it covers the cost and allows for new features and development and makes this a lucrative business. I think the $5 forever is much too low...before long the game would end up underfunded and have to go down this path again and whatnot. Can I suggest an additional group of us Die-Hards like Alpha servers for like $3/month or whatever makes it worth your while that would have features like:

Ultra speed
Squad Wars alpha testing
Custom paint for planes and tanks
....or anything else cool you come up with

really the point I'm trying to make is let's get the right amount of money now to make the game great and lag free. With 3 price options like Free, Normal and Premium you may be surprised how many sign up for Premium and everyone benefits. Just make sure you are always able to raise the rate to compensate for rising costs that are inevitable. We are all old enough to understand inflation and how costs rise so please don't low ball yourself.

Perhaps a survey as to what you would realistically pay

I'd pay $5/month no question so long as the following is true:

- There are mods to boot trolls and potty mouths
- The lag is at an acceptable level, I think none is unrealistic but no more vanishing players or people you shoot 50 times only to have them bomb and die 20 seconds later.
- A list of rules for code of conduct is created that we can refer to anyone not playing that way, such as swearing guidelines, tank spawnkilling, etc.
- I get an official Dogfight Tshirt or even better wings pin with in game name and rank. (ok joking but I would really like it and I would help design if you would like?)

Well as Max already wrote he, I, and many more players have already paid for our LIFETIME of Dogfight. Should we pay for another lifetime?

The problem is that most of us still play DF on phones or tabs. We wont have much trouble for paying 1 or2 dollar/month or 5 dollar an year or lifetime.
Even the high end games for phone charges just USD 3or5 (say FIFA'15/gameloft or EA games) for game purchase. Putting up more than that wont bring new players. They dont know addiction on this game and soon newbies will be history.

I have no objection to paying again.That doesn't even enter the equation.it has been 3 year since i paid.im more than acceptable that the once proposed lifetime price was a little ambitious to keep this game sustainable for the future.
Other apps have yearly subscription(whatsapp etc)so why not this game.i cant think of any multiplayer game that requires online servers to still be running 3 year down the line.
Personaly,yes theres a few glitches,but id be happy to pay for the game in its present state.yes we all want better this that and the other but the fun is in the good battles in the skies we have.

Yes. I completely agree Mac. Some of us don't even have the last update from several months ago. What security does that give me that throwing more money at the game will improve things. Zup has never once responded to any of my emails about this!

It's one thing to hear everyone say they will pay money, it's another to get them to actually pay. There's no reason you can't pay now. Honestly, I've played for a while. I paid for the game. Payed for a few planes. Had the top plane, then the planes changed. I had a lot of money, bought new planes and upgraded them. I've seen issues with paying and not getting what you bought, billing glitches. After that planes changed again. I decided not to buy them because of the glitches with billing. Why should I throw money away? To be honest I'm close to moraf, and a fully upgraded top plane. It's probably the only reason I keep playing. I'm bored with the game since besides a few new planes, the game hasn't changed at all. I was waiting for squad wars and df elite or just to see what the developers, who I don't know, would come out with. I'm just a customer. At this point, I stopped holding my breath. I realize there's no further development. I am playing less and less because it gets boring. If it became a subscription I most likely would stop playing. There are always other games to play. People want a game that continues to develop. They want new, new, new. It keeps it entertaining. After all that's what games are. Entertainment. Not boredom. If you can't continue to develop the game, you have a good theme, you could sell it to another developer. From what I've seen, the developers are not interested in further development. No big updates, an absence from communicating with their customers, no bug fixes, etc... So why would I invest in a game that is marked to die a slow death? Just my opinion. I'm sure it won't be popular.

Please dont take offence but as far as getting bored goes,you know where the door is and please shut it behind you cos we dont want to pay for the heating bill aswell .(oh yes fuel costs are rising lets not pay these multibillion companies too).
It happens in the work place,people leave thinking the company will go bellies up without them.in truth they are forgotten about very quickly as the next lot roll in.

And at the end of the day you can STILL play for free on a less premium server.You will still get updates,thats for free too.you will just suffer worse latency.

You're forgetting that this payment has nothing to do with updates to the game.This money is soley for the purpose of implementing quality gaming servers so the enjoyment continues.The updates are done off his own back.
Again those that can't pay at this moment can play on the free servers.Maybe by Xmas they can save up or ask Santa for an itunes voucher or google play voucher etc.

OK now that that is made clear...$5 for a life time is too little zup, youre selling yourself short here, i would be willing to pay in the range of $20-$30 for a lifetime subscription.

Another suggestion to generate revenue...maybe you could make squad logos, or something similar like a semi customizable decal that you could buy to put on your plane, say for $1.

I am assuming this next phase will come out as an update.Can you send the update to apple first.As we all know they take forever to publish.If all platforms are released at the same time then android will be out in the same day.Will this mean that only android users will be on the premium servers until the other platforms get the update.It will be quiet out there.Or do the other platforms still get to use the premium servers for free until the update goes through?
