What are your opinions on the missing airliner. I'm looking at 3 possibilities

1--- the plane for what ever reason blew up at high altitude. (But why is there no debris field)

2---for whatever reason the people or persons in control of the aircraft landed the plane in the ocean, it might have broken up some but sank in large pieces creating only a small debris field which would be harder to find

3---the plane was hijacked and taken below radar and taken someplace. Maybe landed safely or crashed in the jungle. It's possible they may still be alive.

I definitely believe it will be terrorist involved. Why have they not been able to pick up any pinging from the boxes.

Will it amount to a coverup like flight 800 which was brought down by a missile

But this is some serious matter, hope that any news comes about the location of Airliner.

Can it be that they found Pauls tunnels and they parked the airliner in them somewhere?

Dont get me going on this airliner, I have found out that my company had two pmc's on that plane and the bosses are bricking it, we dont know anything yet but as soon as they find it we will know exactly what has happened.

I heard something last night at work. Cnn said something about our government running fingerprints on all of the passengers and two of them came back as people on our watch list so it's starting to sound more like a hijacking than anything else to me. It also sounds a lot like that show lost that was on a few years ago.

Also, the relatives of the passengers were able to call/ring their respective phones, wondering if the passengers could be located using the phone's signal(s). Authorities seem to have a contrary result with regards to ringing the said phones.. As per a Malaysian friend of mine, their local authorities contradict each other as well regarding the matter.

You're right, it just keeps getting weirder.

GENTLEMAN, THINK ABOUT THIS, I USED TO FLY FOR THE NAVY.....THAT JET CRUISES ABOUT 600 mph AT 35,000 feet, that's about 7 miles high, if a bomb was used, and the detonation was big enough...do the math, .....if you take a pinch full of glitter ...hold it at head high...and just drop it...look at the spread pattern when it lands....then imagine doing that at 600 MPH.....NOW IF THE WATER THERE IS DEEPER THEN 5 miles which is quite possible black boxes will be CRUSHED by the sheer DEPTH OF THE WATER......if that didn't happen....well then aliens came down and scooped the plane up and took them to another world...either way it's a mystery..but if I had to guess, that's puppy exploded 7 miles high at 600 miles per hour and there is not a piece big enough to hold in the palm of you hand. That's my theory!!! And I'm sticking to it!!!

First of all i do not think the water is very deep in that particular part of the world.

I believe that even if the airplane disintegrated there would still be a lot of floating debris, blankets, papers, parts of seats and plastic, that would be highly noticeable. At least thats is what I think, I may be totally wrong.

Also any UFO big enough to abduct that plane would be seen on radar. Lol.

I leaning more into the theory of hijacked and taken below radar, either ditched or flown somewhere.

Ok heres a crackpot thought, the plane is over vietnamese airspace but registers as a threat, jets scramble to intercept, after repeated messaging to the plane (maybe on a different channel so the plane wouldnt realise) the jets light it up? Vietnam then hears about it in the news and realises it has made a mistake and it gets covered up? Well it is a very low possibility but surely more plausible than davy's anal probing theory - davy as ive said before, your mind is warped.

LOL i never said I believe in UFOs and/or anal probing for crying out loud, lol but I will say this " there is to much evidence and facts and eye wittiness to suggest that something weird has been seen in the past" whether it's our government or something else. I've never seen any UFO but I would sure like to.

Now I've just heard that the missing plane went way off course, they are totally baffled now and one newscaster just said that it may look like a hijacking, NEWS AT 11

They also said that some family members say cell phones are still ringing, that would not happen if it went in the water

And STUART i would love to go look if I was in that neck of woods. I think I would concentrate on the jungle now.

The 2 passengers with fake passports were identified. They were just regular thieves, not terrorists. So it seems that's ruled out, in addition nobody took ownership of it and any terrorist organization that blows up an airplane would do so.

My hypothesis is that it blew up for whatever reason at high speed and very high altitude and they are just looking at the wrong place. It will eventually show up. As for the depth of the water, that area is less than 50 meters deep on average, so you could almost see the bottom of the ocean for an airplane.

My take is to be patient & see what happens. There will be questions even when the jet is found. Theres a reason why the military always gives the canned answer that the aircraft was on a routine training flight when the mishap occurred. It's simply too early in the process to know exactly what happened & why. Having said that, aircraft the size of a 777 aren't hidden easily, so I'm doubtful of a good outcome. One article said it took 4 or 5 days to find debris from an Air France crash, so they'll have to keep looking. Why off course & no transponder? Have to wait & see.

Planes are odd creatures (each have their own personalities too). Something stupid simple can bring them down while they'll keep flying with major issues (an F-15 came back missing most of a wing). It really just depends on the plane & the problem. Not trying to scare you. I've seen a lot of craziness as an aircraft mechanic, but I'll fly on nearly anything.

Edit: I should add to be careful listening to what the media tells you. They literally have no clue about these things at all & will latch on to anything without understanding it. Things they think are important can be nothing at all. Although they probably don't want the plane found anytime soon (ratings), they have to fill the dead space with something, so they scramble for useless info.

Lastly, I don't believe in aliens, but anal probes are real!!!

Hey that could be the basis for a t.v. show,

Aircraft still missing.

Now they think it went hundreds of miles off course. Hmmmmmmm sounds like a hijack to me.

It could be they ran out of oxygen, that has happened before and the plane flew till it ran out of gas.

I'm wondering why no one has mentioned altitude at points given for transponder signal end, attempted turn around point, and last Radar signature before final disappearance, If altitude was normal/abnormal at each point it would probably give a much better idea of the incident in My opinion.

I believe the transponder was shut off.

I am a retired air traffic controller! The transponder could easily been shot off. Or it stopped working due to loss of electric power to it. Had this happened in U.S. airspace, we would have immediately gone to the equipment room and secure a recording of all communications and the "replay" of the radar scope. You can then replay what the controller was seeing over and over again. This really helps locate the wreckage. It also would have allowed us to see any "primary radar returns" (blips) that may have been picked up after the transponder data quit. If the pilots flew the plane somewhere else it might have been able to track where it went using the primary returns. They apparently don't/can't do this over there. This is a real mystery! Or as my mom use to say around our house when things went missing around our house: "the bing bings got it"
