Another fact (I LOVE FACTS) the engines on that plane will send out a signal to the manufacturer every half hour. According to one of my contacts the engine signals were received by the manufacturer for at least THREE HOURS AFTER THE TRANSPONDER WAS TURNED OFF.

I still maintain the plane was hijacked and flown someplace however another contact I know told me that there is some real funny things going on here, weird stuff folks.

Curiously military from Malaysia [edit : + the NTSB] are saying now that this info is wrong... (plane still flying several hours after silence came)

This is a fact : just one month ago a co-pilot from ethiopian airlines highjacked his plane to switzerland. This is not a fact : is that could have give some ideas to other ?

We can only hope and pray for the families. Those two invalid identifications at the airport are especially worrying. Even if these people are alive, (which I firmly believe they are), they will probably be taken hostage. The price, whatever it comes out to be, of finding this plane will be high. We can only wait at this point.

I just saw in the news that the planes engines were sending out information via satellite for 4 hours after it went off the radar indicating that the engines were still running. If that's true then it's very strange..

They have expanded their search to land areas. The plane doesn't need much runway to land with very low fuel, takeoff would have to be a longer runway of course.

I don't know if you all know this but our electrical grid is very open for complete destruction. All you need to do is set off a bomb over the USA and creat a electromagnetic pulse (which would not be hard to do) and you would plunge the USA into the Stone Age.

Yes all very sinister. Although I find it hard to imagine hiding such a large airliner for so long without anybody knowing in this day and age. With all the satellites and tracking information, it must be almost impossible!!
Unless someone sort of jamming device could be used to prevent any radio messages getting out such as mobile phones etc.

This is obviously a well thought out plan. If they did land this plane on land then they probably have a good hiding place. I agree with you, it would be hard but I don't think impossible.

Plane could have land on Andaman islands.
The info could have been kept secret since the beginning and research intentionally located in the wrong area because of a terrorist enterprise and to let the security and secret services try to solve the problem.

I believe its entirely possible that plane might reappear but altered perhaps with a nuclear warhead. Fighter jets with
Orders to shoot it down should accompany any sight of it in air. And it should not be allowed near major cities.

I also agree that the plane may reappear and with sinister reasons. If true i wonder what happens to the people. Terrorism is alive and well, we need a government that fully understands that and I don't think we do.

5 hours is a long time to keep flying after it went off radar. It could be almost anywhere in that time. I just can't believe that such a modern airliner could just disappear in this day and age and full of passengers.
It was concerning to read though that the co-pilot had broken the rules and allowed a child passenger into the cockpit recently, if true!

There is a book Davy that delves deeply into this.. it's called One Second After by WILLIAM R. FORSTCHEN
I have read it and it's a very good & well thought out fiction story.. interestingly enough it is now required reading in the US Army's War College

The airliner was taken over by someone, who knows it could have been the pilot. Where they took it or crashed it is unknown.

A London based communication company apparently got satellite pings from a plane which they believe is the missing plane, apparently it only sends the communication when it is airbourne and they believe the plane turned off its designated course and was heading toward the adaman and nicobar islands. It looks more and more likely that it was hijacked and for whatever reason the hijackers have not come forward with demands so either something went drastically wrong or its intended use could well be terror related.

Have read in the news this morning that it's been confirmed the planes communications systems were deliberately shut off by someone on-board the aircraft.
They are also now saying that it turned around and flew back over Malaysia.
I don't think there can be any more doubt that the plane was hijacked. But by whome and for what?

It was a hijack, no doubt about that, the most prevalent theory is that there was a struggle in the cockpit causing the plane to jump up to 45,000 feet, then stalled and then they recovered at a much lower altitude.

The plane then changed course:

1---it was being flown to a target where they were going to fly it into but ended up crashing someplace like the Indian Ocean

2---it was flown someplace and landed

One thing no one has talked about, this flight was at night in the middle of no-where. Night time flying can be very dangerous if you have no moon or lights from the ground to keep the plane straight and lever, if the person was actually flying the plane (not on autopilot) he would have to be instrument trained. It's very easy to lose control on a dark night with no outside visual aids especially if he is not proficient on the instruments
