This prompts the question; does immunity code apply to an area on the map or to an object? If it's an area that allows for being occupied by more than the object - in this case a red tank lurking alongside a blue hangar - there would be that tradeoff. If the code says, "<object=hangar=immune> bombing a red tank would be more viable than it is, the risk of taking out your own hangar having been removed.
No one has ever bombed me when my tank was inside their base, they just circle around and gun me to bits. I feel a little...neglected. Hold me.
