If I proposed that, I would be banned, for sure... But now that Sir Mantz said it, I will humbly corroborate. If, after having them back, Richy don't behave, you can ban this crazy brasilian as well. I mean it.

Well Paul I will sign the petition but I think this will fall on deaf ears. With out going in to great detail I will say I thought the banning of the Roos in the first place wasn't quite right. I see a lot of worse behavior here that doesn't rate a lifetime ban. Just one lowly players opinion.

Regardless of any petition to let the roos free. Zuperman made his decision. If zuperman unbans the roos, then no one will take him or any mod serious when other perm bans are made. The perm ban will most likely stick forever.

What ever happened to forget and forgive, second chances and such. Lifetime is pretty harsh. I would only respect all parties involved even more if it was resolved. Ain't up to me though.

I believe Gen Jackson does have a valid point.

BUT

This Roo banment is not fair, from my point of view.

First, because it was not a player banment; it was possibly a FAMILY banment. If I am not wrong, in one of Roo's messages he told me about his 13 years old kid that was about to play the game. I don't know for sure if it is true. To be honest, sometimes I ask myself how much of what Richy wrote is true or is some creation of his well known not-too-healthy-mind (sorry, Roo, I know you are reading this, and I say this on a good note, as I myself am also a mental illness sufferer. I supported you all the time because of this thing we have in common, and because I know how a good man can be taken as a bad one for his illness). But as I said, I see this banment as a family banment. There is Louise, that I also can't tell for sure if is a true person. But he (and she and/or they) deserves the benefit of the doubt. Hey, am I a real person at all? Are you, Paul? Are you, Jackson?

Second, there was another banment I can remember (VortexIII), and no one asked for its abrogation. Why? Because I believe everybody thought that his banment was the right thing to do. But as we all can see, there are a lot of people that believe Roo's family deserves a second - or a third, or a fourth, I don't know for sure - chance. And all these voices rings a bell, huh? And they aren't only "ordinady", "expressionlees" voices; its Mantz voice among others, on top of others. Afaik, he is a wise man. And a good man, no one doubt it, I believe. His opinion should be taken with care. I don't believe Mantz would light this fire again for nothing, just to see some silly-nonsense-bully-kitchen images. By the way, I didn't understand why Mantz addressed his original post to two persons instead of just quoting Zup. Anyway, he must have had a reason to have done so - and the reason is his good soul, his good heart, his sense of justice. A sense of justice of an old man, not a boy.

Now, about the tip of the iceberg, it is another possibly valid point. Against it, I have no arguments. But it would be nice if we all knew what it is all about.

One last thing: I know Zup and mods are tired of this thing. I put myself on their place, and to be honest, I wouldn't have the patience Zup is having to this point. I can imagine all the headaches he is having. I am so sorry, Zup, believe me. If you close this entire forum for these issues, I would understand you, believe me, I am serious. No irony here.
But please, if you are not going to blast this forum, please consider Mantz wise words.
I will beg Richy to behave. We at The Looney Bin will try to lead him with short leash. He will not be our moderator. He will be cleaning the WCs of the asylum for a long time. His wife will help us keeping him calm. And perhaps his son can be a good player. Please. As Crocket said, its a matter of forget of forgive. And please, if it is not feasible, if forgiving him is asking too much, please let us know a little bit more of the underwater part of the iceberg.

This is my last post about this roo thing, I promise. Sorry for a so long text. Yeah, one can say: one more act from the drama queen. I don't mind.

Dear friends, I am not sure what I am meant to be writing and how I am ment to be writing it.
me ( Mr LOUROO) and Mr roo have now been off line for 3 weeks and 3days todate. I know this as Mr roo can see the forum and what's going on.
Since finding out I was banned from flying and on forum, it went from very Angry ( why ) To yes to be honest a little ok okay quite upset, even a little teary. Then I delited the dogfight app of my computer and just keepet the forum open and watched everyone talking about what had happend ect ect and watching the norm on the forum about everyone's LIFE'S and that's what I started missing more and more so for My own sanity I had to delite it!

I do know Mr Zupperman has a job to do and I am not douting him, he does very well. For if it was not for him and his Team we all would.... Ohh I mean you all would not be flying planes and bombing and shooting people and being about to chat on forum as friends as a communty As a FAMILY if it was not for this game.

I do very much miss you all I don't want to name names as I am worried I would offend someone if I missed there names out. ( also miss working at the The Jolly Rodger )
This is more than just a Game for me and i hope many others would say the same. it's more of a way out, to talk to people you don't have to see face to face and pretend life is great, you can be honest you can be you. With out the gosip of so called family and friends getting involved when there not needed or wanted. It's a Cyber Family where we can tell the truth have friends and be you.

I've seen a whole lot worse go thru here than anything Richy ever did. I'm pretty sure that I did miss some of it, but I think I got most. Is Richy a little bit of a drama queen? Yup. Do a whole lot of the other players exhibit their own shortcomings from time to time? Yup.

I figure this is Zupland, so whatever he says goes... But either way, I'll happily put my name on the petition. Anyway, without the "characters" that are on this forum, no one would really give a crap about reading it all. How much can anyone really write about an airplane game? It flies, it shoots... You shot me, I shot you... Good game... You cheated... I think that about sums it up.

Anyway, I vote to let them in, but I'm pretty sure no one is having an election.

Paul... I appreciate and respect anyone who is willing to stick their neck out for a friend. So, in lieu of other comments and pictures posted by other players (pretty trashy I thought), I figure this will help you do it much more efficiently.

Pedro, you write so beautifully, really. The only thing I'm going to add to this discussion before I shut up is this:

I have been simultaneously shot at and/or chatted at by Mr and Mrs Roo in game so many times, that I don't think Mrs Roo is fictional in any way. Maybe its a joke I missed way back, but this makes three or four times I've heard the notion.

Btw, Mrs Roo... If you are reading this, you are still considered an employee at the Jolly Roger. We just have you listed as being in exile right now for bookkeeping purposes, but your position is still yours. I'm sure you have read that I hired Manfred as a bartender, but that was just a great opportunity that presented itself. And, I knew it wouldn't be around long. I felt he was just right for the place, and I'm happy to report that I wasn't wrong in my decision. He was an excellent choice. But, we stil miss ya, and if they let you out for good behavior or whatever, hurry back and we'll put you right back to work. Plus, if we had ya both working, everyone's wait time would be almost nonexistent. That would be great.

Hopefully the island that you were exiled to has a nice beach and a lot of sun.

For Zuperman to take such a measure as a lifetime ban should speak volumes with his decision within the Dogfight community and forum.

Meaning that he and I'm sure certain Mod's know the true reason behind his decision. As I recall in Zup's post on the forum concerning this manner , lawsuit or legal prosecution was mentioned. As I see it, those words alone hold a lot of reason beyond any other reason.

As each has an opinion, I think none other than Zup will ever know why, or what forced the decision to deem a permanent ban.

I don't think his ban adds up to much more than the fact that he was starting trouble, and kept mentioning Zup by name when he did it. As far as legal action.... Give me a break. What can I possibly do on here that would warrant the time and expense to actually pursue justice halfway on the other side of the world. Really??? I'm going to piss someone in say Australia off so badly that they are going to seek justice from me, an American, in some meaningful way on an international scale. Get real. No way. I promise that if any of you ever name me as a defendant in a court case in Finland or something, the closest thing you will ever see of me might be a picture of my middle finger. So... I'm not buying the whole "legal trouble" thing, other than another player might have pretended like he was really big and important enough to seek justice in another country other than his own over something that was done on a silly game forum. I pretend to own a bar too. One's about as meaningful as the other.

So, in reality, Richy ran up and down the aisles shouting "Zup's out to get me" until Zup finally decided that he was out to get him. Bad move on Richy's part... But I do miss the goofball and his lovely wife.

Yeah, Whose, now I can remember playing with both of them as well. Sorry, Roos. But as I said, I always gave them the benefit of the doubt. Now, about this specific matter, there is no more doubt. Hope you Roos understand my confusion, and understand that the circumstances are not too favorable to a confused mind like mine to gather all pieces and see a clear picture.

Off topic: since I joined this forum, two things (among many other ones) happened:

My headaches as well.

I feel the only part I can do to help is provide more information for consideration since everyone is right in what they say. Maybe there is some act that the Roos did that does warrant a perma-ban in which case all of this will never go anywhere but I have a hard time imagining what that act could be. This feels a lot more that since Richy was such an large part of our whole community he is close enough to us all to have a much larger impact than any trash talking forum troll ever could. Here are my points to consider if there is consideration to be made:

- The Roos donated a lot of time and energy and MONEY to DF elite to help all of us and Zup when needed. It was more than he could spare but to help DF they would find a way! Just go look at the DF elite posts and you will see.

- They are exceptional forum personalities. They bring life and fun to the forum, Permabans are for people will always be out of control. The roos were under control at one point and I believe can be again or suffer the same fate, but for all they are and do don't they deserve another chance.

- What if it was you? What if you had a sick child and other problems that make you so upset you start to rant? If they permabanned you and you calmed down after a while wouldn't you want some consideration?


We would all understand that there are conditions and stipulations to their return but as good friends to a whole lot of us don't they at least deserve a chance?
