Paul didnt question zup`s decision. He didnt whine. He didn`t say zup or the mods made something wrong. He only asked for some forgiveness.
So, no one should have brought this discussion back to life again.
But people (myself included) used his thread to bring back a subject that was already discussed and closed. If we had focused on just what Mantz talked about, no flame would have been turned on.
Please, mods, listen to Mantz at least on his request to close this topic.

I've tried to approach this thread as a realist. Did Richy piss some folks off? Yes. Is there enough good in him to redeem him? Yes. Is he aware that he did some stuff he shouldn't have? Yes. Is this giant sh!tstorm going on because the good in him outweighed the bad, so a large percentage of us would like to see a little bit more leniency granted to him, whether he deserves it or not? Yes.

I think this attempt at trying to help him out has gone straight to he!!. We might as well leave it alone and see what happens.


In the mean time, I know a lot of you may wonder why I've stood up as I have for him. I'd do it for most of you guys too... I'd hope ya'll would do it for me.

The point is that some of us are trying to ask for a little extra leniency for our friend. We know he ain't perfect. You and I aren't either. But when you take every guy that has tried to say something kind about Richy and maybe stick up for their buddy a little bit and dismiss it as whining and bitching its a slap in the face to all of us. If you can't find it in your heart to say something constructive, go do something else. PLEASE!!!

Not unless you like lots and lots of spam. I think PMing each other and telling the folks that you would want to have it is a real good idea though.

Joaquin gave Rich every opportunity to mend his ways. As has been pointed out here, Rich returned the favor by spitting in Joaquin's face.

Yes, Rich created a situation where legal advice was necessitated. That fact is not up for discussion and no one here knows or is entitled to know any details beyond what Joaquin has already shared.

Rich repeatedly heckled Joaquin, the Mods, me with angry screeds and paranoid accusations. The people trying hardest to cut him some slack he attacked on the forum and in private messages and emails. He circumvented temporary bans by using his wife as a front and caused her account to be banned along with his. What else exactly do you think you need to know?

There's a point at which compassion becomes gullibility. Rich pushed me beyond that point just as he did Joaquin. Joaquin waited far longer than I would have to permanently ban Rich. He has a forgiving nature easily taken advantage of and Rich did precisely that more than once.

No, Joaquin does not owe anyone here "closure". The matter was closed when he posted his announcement that Rich had been banned for life. With all due respect for your efforts to lobby on behalf of a friend, this issue should never have been dredged up. Since Joaquin has chosen to let this unnecessary discussion continue, and as Paul has already indicated that he agrees that it's run its course, this thread is now locked.
