WELCOME TO THE WOLF PACK SQUADRON ELITE TOURNAMENT NIGHTS

THERE WILL BE THREE TOURNAMENTS PER MONTH. THEY WILL BE HELD ON THE 10th, 20th, and 30th,

tHIS WILL BE WOLF PACK EXCLUSIVE EVENT, THE PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE PACK UNITY, AS WELL AS WELCOMING NEW PILOTS TO THE PACK, AND HAVING PLACE WHERE WE CAN ALL GET TOGETHER AND HAVE SOME LAUGHS.

THERE WILL BE A DIFFERENT THEMED COMPETITION FOR EVERY TOURNAMENT. THIS WILL RESEMBLE GOLF MEN'S AND LADIES NIGHT. FOR EG, ONE NIGHT WILL BE FOR THE MOST KILLS, AND AN AWARD FOR THE PILOT WHO GETS SHOT DOWN THE MOST LOL.

THE TOURNAMENTS WILL START AT 6:30 PM PACIFIC TIME, AND RUN FOR TWO HOURS. THIS WILL BE THE SET TIME FOR THE FIRST TOURNAMENT. IF WE NEED TO ADJUST THE TIMES FOR FUTURE TOURNAMENTS TO ACCOMMODATE MORE PLAYERS, WE CAN TWEAK THINGS AS NEEDED.

HAVING BEEN PART OF THIS SQUAD HAS BEEN A TRULY AMAZING EXPERIENCE. WE HAVE QUITE A FEW NEW PACK MEMBERS. IT IS THE DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITY OF VETERAN PACK MEMBERS TO SUPPORT THIS SQUAD GATHERING AND HELP SHOW WHY OUR SQUAD IS THE BEST HANDS DOWN. I WOULD ASK EVERY WOLF PACK MEMBER TO REACH OUT TO ANOTHER PACK MEMBER AND ENCOURAGE THEM TO SIGN UP AND PARTICIPATE IN THESE EVENTS.

FIRST TOURNAMENT WILL FALL ON THE 1st OF MARCH, THAT IS TWO DAYS FROM NOW.

AND LASTLY, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY. THIS THREAD IS NOT TO BE USED FOR REPORTING SPAWN KILLERS TANK GLITCHERS OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF DF DRAMA THAT SEEMS TO POLLUTE THE FORUM THESE DAYS. LET US SHOW THE DF COMMUNITY WHY WOLF PACK SQUADRON IS THE BEST.

Is this an open squadron tournament, meaning can anyone participate? Ie, Misfits, MoM, TFL, G.I., ect...ect?

Just for Wolf Pack as far as the competitions will go. If other squads are there and in game thats totally fine. In the future when this gets going maybe we can start organizing squad tournaments. This could be fun as well. But first lets get the Squad together and party it up

Gotcha, we'll keep score amongst ourselves.

I think its a great idea , will help players ajust to élite, so get practicing coz planes handle much differently, yes game has a few issues but over time they should be sorted

Thanks pmoon. I apologize for that. I am new at this stuff and will most likely make a some mistakes and some over sights. I didnt really no that we had a Wolf Pack category. I welcome and appreciate any advice on how this should be brought together.

Tomorrow I will add an itinerary on how this will come together. Such as servers meeting times, etc. Also I am sure not every one can show up right at 630 or stay the entire 2 hours. Please feel free to post any Ideas or advice to this thread.

My suggestion is to make a whole day dedicated to elite play from our squad. That way regardless of what time zone you live there should be a wolf party happening in elite for everyone to enjoy. Some of us dont have elite yet, and some are reluctant to try it out. In my experience the servers are almost always empty which is the major issue most folks have with elite. So if our squad populates elite only for one day we are sure to have a good time and also test the game out a bit in the process. If we would like to organize contests within that day it would make for even more fun.

Just my suggestion. Cypher has the lead on this one. Ill try to contact Jacob and see if he will move this thread to our squad area.

I'm looking forward to this....really am the pack working on each side to look for the advantage , grat as everyone learn builds,back up the levels u lose . We take the fact we play a game talk to our comrades for granted , so moving to elite for a day or 12 hours for squad training and challenges is the least we can do to show Viper , we are proud to be Howling pack members aaooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

So here it is. I think I will blend Vipers vision with my own. Since some players may or may not be able to meet 6:30 pm Pacific I will refine the Theme. So for the entire day, March 1st. Dog Fight Elite will be claimed as Wolf Pack territory. All members are encouraged to visit and play throughout the day. Take screen shots and have fun. But at 6:30 I would like to hold a round robin style tournament. Im hoping to see between 8 and 16 pack members. This might not be a realistic number but thats what im hoping for.

For simplicity, the tournament will feature four servers. We will vote on which servers to use before the game starts.

*Each player will battle once in each server

*Each server will host a half hour battle, if by chance one team wins during this period, all players shall remain in that server and press the play again button. If this happens add the appropriate time to game play that was used during the time the game takes to reset all players back to a match,

*If by chance the game that is presented is a ZEPP game all players must exit to the predetermined alternate server. This is why have chosen the game be played in 4 quarters. So both matches will have a alternate server if needed.

*As for game play rules, I will not be implementing any rules. We are all WP members and our game play ethics should reflect the Wolf Pack mission statement.

*The name of the game is get as many kills as possible while trying to win the game as well.

* At the end whom ever has the most kills is the Winner.

Now I no your saying whats the point of carrying bomb and not just turn fighting to acquire as many kills as possible.

This is not the point of the tourny. This is strictly a Wolf Pack beta testing party. Designed to have a good time shooting each other down while testing out the new game. As well as meet and greet some new pack members.

Wow out of the mind of a genius its looking great Cypher .im really starting to look forward to it , I really hope we the pack can get behind this and really give the game a major work out , who knows Zupp might here of it and grace us with his presence for a party pic game . So Zupp if you read this feel free to make your self known so we can have a fitting game
I know not everyone convinced to buy Élite but it is the future of DF and all practice now will pay off big time later

OMG I have to say this tournament was very much like the DF of old days. We got into chat and were able to flood a server just like it was when I first started. Those were some good times because you got to play with your friends more so than todays game. If you missed it don't despair! Wolf Pack will be having several elite parties each month.

It was nice to have GI support as well, thanks to nebular and sharpshooter for joining the fun!

That was awesome fun. I'm still on a buzz from the fierce competition, the fur was flying . Lots of small battles over every hill, valley, and in the clouds. Non stop action..I mean NON stop! Those that missed out need to attend the next one.

This was my trial run and there will be refinements but all in all it worked great. I will post scores and other tidbits tomorrow. i dont want to miss the action

Thank you Wolf Pack for the honor and pleasure of allowing me to participate. I definately ha a most enjoyable game,truly fun and challenging. I am really liking the work zup has done with Elite. Anyone seeing this is doing themselves a diservice by not trying it a few times if at all possible.
so many improvements and yet still in beta testing infancy. trees you can use for cover as well as hide in the clouds. the terrain itself will offer concealment and cover. there is more realistic bullet trajectory,less range,no more laser beam shots across the map. sneaking will no longer be a bad word but a viable tactic. you owe it to yourself if you are a dogfight junkie like some of us to check out Dogfight Elite. And to the Wolf Pack, you pilots are great and glad we are friends and allies.
