Hearing rumors of a secret red base commanded by former wolf Cush, Viper and Navmed launched a late morning recon patrol. Not soon after take off, the two drunken navy guys encountered stiff red resistance. Grinning like clowns, our two Hall of Fame pilots drove into the messy red blob on their screens.
Fur blowing g backward, goggles down, paws on the throttles, claws at the ready on the pickle, they rolled in formation right into the fight. No time to call for backup, it was stop the reds now or else. Nothing mattered , not their lives or their deaths. The reds were threatening this home landand it was stop em and drop em time.
Red tracers all around, wind screens shattering, one or more rounds ripping through the wings, Viper and Navmed pressed the attack. Clearing Cush and two others, they got strikes on the hangers. There was much flying and laughing. Viper ended up with 14 kills, but had to roll out of range.
With the red base having one hanger left, Navmed and one other pilot non WP named Daniel Paraguay continued on. Cush had been defending alone for a bit and got help. That help promptly shot him down! Evedntualy while Navy and Cush tangled props and split area clouds, Daniel took out Trips and scored the final hanger hit. Navmed found nine scalps on his belt but swears he got two others.
Upon return to the Wolf Den , Navmed put Trips in for the Turncoat medal, Cush for the Dfensive MVP, and Viper for the Blue Leader medal for his fourteen kills. Well actually he ordered his favorite beer, had his plane refueled and reloaded the he did the paperwork.
Speaking to the media, the public affairs officer stated that the sector is now clear of reds and the pilots involved are being debriefed by blue intelligence officers.
