Plenty to respond to since last I glanced...nothing new there.
What a dilemma; 300 points from leveling up...Chet/SheiBe is playing...Keith/Ktheo is playing...I invite KT to exit a mission with me and seek out Chet so they can both share my 'big moment"...but no such luck. Can't reconnect with either of 'em. Then fortune smiled; a Dogfight mission with Brian. If Chet and KT had joined...but that's too much too hope for. So I knock down one, then another, then a few more...then B Strachan, the Babe Ruth, Johnny Unitas and Michael Jordan of Dogfight rolled into one, holds nice and still. I pop him and that elusive gold line of text shows on screen...along with 0/1000000. Yipe.
Brian, aside from having six other M.O.Ms there I can't imagine how that could've played out any more perfectly. Thanks for your friendship...thanks for your example...thanks for holding still...

While I'm thanking, thank you, gang, for the kind words. Thanks Dave a k a Jacklpe for your insights and perspective. I rarely guess wrong about who has "the M.O.M stuff" and I certainly guessed right in your case.

Teamkilling; There's a world of difference between team killing for kicks and retaliating against a team killer. Dent, KT, anybody who "takes the law into his own hands", you have my blessing and those of all the Mods...retaliate away. We count on you to step on these cockroaches when we aren't present to do it ourselves.
As for spawnkilling, it is and will remain the single most hotly debated and polarizing aspect of Dogfight. I've done my share under appropriate circumstances (base capping for teammates on bombing runs, etc) and inappropriate circumstances. The latter leaves me feeling like a nitwitted noob. Nothing beats a straight up tank battle but raping planes on the runway is no kinda sport. The Mods have their differing takes on this and will exercise their kick-you-out power...or not. Roll those dice if you choose.

MadtotheMom! How flippin' cool is that? A banner is on its way, Anthony. And one for ZzSlientKillerzZ, in-pipe, ICARUS, Butterfly, pffft...the lot of ya.
Mbizzi is concerned that by leaving his one member squad (I had thought he meant himself but not so) he might be leaving Hoogie, the one member, in the lurch. Any objection to Hoogie becoming a M.O.M? I told Biz to "bring the whole squad along!" He's going to run it by Hoogie just to do the right thing. Gotta respect that.

[NLR] Crazy Nut has resigned his membership in The New Lunar Republic in order to apply to become a M.O.M! Unfortunately, as happens too often, my explanation of protocol (inform your current squad, make sure it's all on the up, then come to the thread and introduce yourself and express your desire to join) got boiled down to, "Hey Wig! I'm a MOM now!" (yep, there was the tag) "No Craze, you can't be...you haven't even asked the gang or waited for a vote!" This non-process process will plague us till M.O.M's dyin' day. I'm reasonably cool with that. So...Let's have us a vote on Crazy Nut, shall we? I'll kick it off; I vote IN.

The "M.O.M Theme Song" contest is by no means forgotten. We have a bunch of new members who may not know it's going on; guys, think of the scene in Apocowigopolips Now with the flight of incoming choppers blaring Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries". We're soliciting entries for M.O.M anthem...it can be anything from heavy metal to punk to pop to a cartoon theme to a 1970s Russian guy lip-syncing "Lololololololol" for four minutes. (Sput is currently way out in the lead with that nominee!) Coop brilliantly re-wrote the lyrics to "Born to Run" M.O.M-style and Bopes has me type-singing The Carpenters' "Close to You" every time I see him in-game. So here's another call out for song entries...make it something you can imagine us typing at each other with hilarity ensuing. Or...y'know...not.
