Sputnik, which "two MOM's have already died"? Kevin/Kane, of course, but who are you referring to as the second one?
On a less final note, a MOM is leaving the fold though, happily, not for reasons of being dead. Seven has decided that MOM membership isn't for him, after all. I don't know the details behind Mat's decision other than that he's had some negative experiences in-game - something we'd already discussed prior to the change of heart that prompted him to join - and there are other personal history reasons it would serve no purpose to go into here. The upshot; people come, people go, M.O.M perseveres. I hope you'll all join me in wishing Mat well as he reboots and reenters the game in the hope of having some unencumbered, solo fun without the added trappings of the "community" aspect that inevitably carries with it the necessity of interacting with a range of personality types. Families don't always function like well oiled machines, and this has clearly become a family. I'm reminded of Kevin's words as he committed his final thoughts - remarkably, about us and his relationship with this "family" - to paper. It's precisely the camaraderie, including the differences in who we all are and how we communicate and interact, that has made this experience so fulfilling for me. Well beyond anything you should realistically expect from a "game". I wish Mat (the Artist Formerly Known as Seven) nothing but the best and fully expect that he'll rank up fast and we'll all be wondering where this "new" guy came from! Mat asked me to convey his well wishes to Duckwing. Done. And echoed, of course.
Now...fake MOMs. Ask nicely, ask firmly if nice doesn't work, then shoot. Is that the consensus? Might be time for a few amendments to the MOM Bill of Wrongs. I'll sharpen the quill and get to work...
Transporter is anti-MOM, we're all agreed. Mbizzi couldn't buy my vote. There are skilled players at all levels of this game who don't belong in M.O.M. By my count we have 15 of the top 100 ranked players now, I have rock solid commitments from 3 others who're waiting for the right moment for various reasons, and I'm confident enough to bet on at least 4 more who would exemplify what M.O.M is all about.
