Hey Tink,

I have about an hour commute each way to and from work. I listen to a lot of audiobooks. Lately I've been listening to Swedish author Stieg Laarson's "The Girl wih the Dragon Tatoo" series. Picking up a bunch stuff about Swedish culture, but there's something google hasn't cleared up for me yet. What's the deal with aquavit/akvavit? It's mentioned a lot in the books.

I know this question was for Bell, but since I know a little about it I thought I would chime in on this.

Akvavit/Aquavit is usually distilled from potatoes or grains, has herbs and spices in it and usually aged in oak. Usually drank at room temperature. My Father really enjoys this stuff, it is a little too harsh for me. He usually drinks it after dinner. Culturally I am not aware of It's significance or its heritage, can only tell you from my experience with it.

Maybe Bell can tell you how it is enjoyed in Sweden.

Well akvavit is something you drink as it is during for example an surströmmings "party" or don't know the word but it's like smal lobsters. You take it like a shott (usually a lott more then one) during the dinner. Preferably along with a short song (snapsvisa).
While eating the lobster lookalike you whare silly hatts. Did you get any wiser?

Little lobsters?

Crawdads? (Aka Crawfish, crayfish, mud bugs)

Or maybe langoustines?

Great games this week with a lot of you. Thanks again for voting me in. I apologize for not saying hello to all of you in game. There are so many MOMs and I don't know all of the names yet. I never talked in game much before, joining MOM has made me chat more. I like it, except when I crash while typing.

It was loads of fun Davy. We've had a few good ones over the last couple of days. I'll have to pay attention from now on, but I honesty don't think you and I have ever lost game when we're were on the same side. As for the last game, sorry I swapped sides on ya, but Bopesy was all alone and and I can't fight another M.O.M when the odds are 4:1. I only regret that I had bombed what turned out to be my hangars before I swapped sides

Bopesy, after switching I had to bail on ya. I know I didn't leave you in good shape, but I had an appointment to go to.

Fun was had by all. I think that was some first games I've played with Darrax. Good player. And I'm thinking we need to look into Yelsnit. I haven't invited him to stop by yet, but in think I will next time in see him. Like playing with him a lot.

Good game except I got booted three times: one phone call and two low battery prompts. The third time I couldn't get back in. I assume Crockett's side won since we wete down to one hangar ..

And thanks again for switching Parrott. I can never seem to do that, excep when I am not trying ...

Sounds like fun for sure! Yeah I was wondering if maybe PH had some special skill because I have enough trouble just getting back insame game, much less being able to switch side. :)
