Well this is an exceptionally good weekend. With out going into my life story I will give a brief update.

I have had custody of my 15 yr old daughter for 4 years now. Around Febuary my ex decided not to return her. I had to take off and get a court order to get her back. Missed a lot of work and put on a lot of miles. Her grades suffered and it has been a super stressful deal. Very, very expensive. Ex came up with a lawyer and sued for custody.

Thursday was D Day. Final hearing scheduled for 2 days. 9 hours later the Results are below.

Ex has 3 counts of contempt. 30 days in county jail each. All served together on weekends. Depending on how they give credit it will be 7 to 10 weekends.

Ex will pay my lawyers fees for the writ to get her back, the contempt filing, and court costs. That part will be around $5,000. She will not be released until this is all paid in full. It is less than a quarter of my total costs but a nice victory.

Ex will pay a $2,500 dollar cash bond to the court before her visitation begins. I will have a notarized receipt. This is just in case she ever pulls this again. The bond will forfeit to me for fees and costs.

Ex will pay $100 extra per month for back child support plus the support she is supposed to pay. I will never see it but still a victory.

This may seem harsh but the whole story would curl your toes. She needs a good sting. It is always a circus with her. My stress level can now return to normal. Also pending a grand jury indictment there is a felony charge for interfering with a court order. Things are back to normal at my house.

Max, no not harsh at all. In fact, no where near harsh enough in my opinion. Those types of "people", by their on choice, do not respond to any measure of reason. They truly deserve severe punishment because of their selfish, malicious nature. Yes I have had my share of experience with those kinds of low lifes.

Really I'm sick of the example she sets for my daughter. Terrible to teach a kid to lie,disrespect, and sneak amongst many other things. None of which a young girl needs to learn.

I have shared custody of mine, could not even imagine all that both of you have been through. Not sure of the circumstances surrounding this plight/ fight, I could not imagine (I would use stronger words here, but PG 13) not having her in my life and treasure the time I have with her. Still can't get her to play DF with me.

Real happy to hear that she has been returned to you with this outcome, especially at this stage in your daughter's life. So a huge (insert multiple other words) congratulations to you!!!!

I would just like to give a BIG LOU HUG!!!! And say well bloody done. You WIN best dad! (am sure your Daughter knows how much you put at stake and how much stress you was under to do what was write and what was best for your family.) All your hard work in the last 4 months to fight to get your daughters back An to let your Ex know she needed to be punished for her actions. its Amazing to say the least. I just wish there was more stories like this where the other partner wether it be male or female gets there just deserts. And there ends up a happy ending. But There's not enough of it out there.
Hugs to your Daughter to and hope you both have less stressfull life in the future. And I hope you and her can carrie on with your life's as normal as possible after such a awfull last few months... And the rest. ( assuming it was hard befour ex decided to take her)
EDIT... And I hope you can get your Daughter back and show her good examples on write and wrong and to show her who she is ment to be with out someone making her someone she is not.....

It sure does not hurt to have an awesome lawyer. She is a beast in the courtroom. She is young but she is very good. If you have never seen an alligator do a death roll, utube it, that is what it was kind of like. Her husband better stay married to her forever. Hate to see what she would do to him in a divorce. Every one in her office earned a dozen roses each from me. Saving it as a surprise. They earned it and then some. I may give them some of the money I get back from the award as a bonus to. I couldn't be happier with the job they did.

For the first time in my married life. The wife and i are going on a holiday without the kids .June 7th we are going on a 7 day alaska cruise from Vancouver. This is a surprise for her. she thinks we are going to an old teamates wedding. Trying to sweep her off her feet Again Lol. Just got a custom tailored suit made that she does not know about. Been hitting the gym like a mad man the last 6 months. I don't want to sound conceited by i am looking fine. Lol. I am trying to recapture that spark that got put on the side line with the arrival of my wonderful children many years ago. I am one of the lucky few men, who fell in live with an amazing, beautiful captivating women. Wonderful mother and wonderful wife. Spent most of our marriage committed to my career. Always on the road. She has had to raise my children in my absence. And an outstanding job she did. Having stepped away from that career a couple years back, I am blessed that i can now share all my time,energy,love with them. Now that I have reconnected with the kids, it is her turn. Cant wait to see her amazing smile when she figures it out. I just wanted to share this with you all, as this damn game has become a big part of my life as well. 8 days and counting.

Max that is just a brilliant outcome ! And thanks for sharing it with us I hope some of your luck rubs off on me I'm into the sixth year off a custody battle and have court for the ninth time in a couple of weeks , if only the family court here had the teeth that your courts do !

I too was a single parent but I now have the best partner in the world she even lets me play dogfight in bed ! , But anyways I had a thought if MOM reaches the stage of splintering into groups we could form a jilted dads division ! Or something along those lines .
