WarnerVoss. Thanks for coming in.

Ath has a big imagination and a strong desire to hijack my thread. He seems like a nice kid though, so we haven't run him off. Yet...

But anyway, see page one to see what we are all about. Pull up a stool and have a great time. We hope to see you around!

Now announcing in game availability!!! You can now visit us in game just beside the bridge! Come on in and take a break from the war! Enjoy cold beverages, hot food, free pool and darts, and good conversation. While you are in, don't forget to drop a nickel in the worlds most diverse jukebox! We'll see you soon!

Welcome to the Jolly Roger!

Jacklpe: Proprietor
Manfred: Bartender
Jacob 10000: Purchasing Consultant
Ms RealTink: Barmaid
Paul Mantz Jr.: Floor Security
Yea, there IS a reason a man that old is working security!
Parrothead: Manager of "Special Projects"

Think of us as that really good bar you went to when you were young, or hope to go to when you get older. When you come in here, you are a friend. When you start a fight, you get a fight. If you are down on your luck, we'll pick you up. There are no leaders to please, no totem pole to climb... Only good friends having an imaginary cold one, and solving the worlds problems... One dumb drunken comment at a time.

House Rules!

No personal attacks.
Follow the dogfight forum rules.
Check your feelings at the door.

And the most important rule of all: What happens at the Jolly Roger, stays at the Jolly Roger!

If you violate these rules, we will make you walk the plank. Seriously.

This is not namby pamby land. This is not your mothers house. If you are a sensitive loving person who feels all of your feelings, then the piano bar is up the street. With that said, if we get too crazy, the cops (mods in this case) will kick in the door, arrest us all, and pull my liscence. DON'T GET MY LISCENSE PULLED!

Without further ado, Welcome to our place where everybody knows your name!

Sweet this sounds like my kinda place :) I'm too young to drink but i wouldn't mind the pool, darts, jukebox(that will break me, even at a nickel a song) and food :) whats yalls specialty? Also can i have a nonalcoholic piña colada, pared my bad spelling, not my strong suit

We have a certain amount of younger folks that we let hang out here... No sweat there. As this is a "virtual bar" we can pretty much hook you up with whatever you would like to eat or drink. You'll find we use a little imagination too sometimes, and then often go straight into reality without so much as starting a new paragraph. Feel free to join in. It's fun. As of now, you have plenty of cash. See how easy that was? Now take a $50 and put it in either Manfred or Mrs Tink's tip jars (I think it's about time for Mrs Tink to be on duty... She is in the UK. Manfred is on the west coast of the US, so depending on where you are you will know who you will most likely have serving you. Manfred IS the official bartender, whereas Mrs Tink holds more of a waitress like position, but either one will take good care of you. Me, I'm usually either in the Eastern or Central US, but my hours are very strange so I'm in and out 24/7. I'll see to it you always have a good visit.

We also dabble in other ventures, and Parrothead helps us out with that. We are also probably the safest place you will ever venture into, so feel free to relax while you are here.
Like I said earlier, we are glad to have you.

Now, one Piña Colada (n/a) coming up... On the house.

Welcome to the Jolly Roger!

Hello, how are things at the old JR?

The milkshake machine sounds great! Could you whip me up a chocolate chip shake and spike it with 2 shots of Patrone cafe XO ? :cheer:

Sorry about the bad language Mrs Tink. I've got kids who play the game too. One is a bit younger than the official age rating. They aren't too shocked by what they read (having an older teenage brother kind of prepped them for that) The only real problem for me is when they introduce friends to the game. This conversation has come up a few times. Unfortunately it seems that the only way to get rid of it is to get rid of the chat altogether. Alas. I think it is still worth having it though. It's part of the "community" aspect of dog fight. I think that it's still a good "place" for them to hang out when they are playing games.

Anyway, here's a solid silver dollar for the tip jar.
Cheers!

I don't always agree with your politics, but I do agree with the way you drink. Tip well, cause it's on the house.

Btw: You being from Texas and all... You might be interested to know that Shiner Bock is and always has been the house beer.

If anyone is gonna run anyone off with their music, it's probably going to be me. Think of me as an amateur music historian :). All I ask is that if you like Justin Bieber or something, please wait till I'm gone, or at least in my office. :)

Let's play something pretty mainstream this morning to get things going.

Just a quick heads up.
If the pan comes in contact with followind compound , it will blow up like yellow stone in 2012 movie :

THE FAMOUS COMPOUND : FAMOUS AS TITIN I GUESS.

Just google titin.

However, coming in contact with this one isnt hazardous as it takes 15679 hours to react under normal jolly roger conditions.

That frying pan is light as a feather but strong as a diamond.

DONOT EXPOSE THE PAN TO COSMIC RAYS AND GAMMA RADIATION !

Nice to make your acquaintance WarnerV. Geez folks, gotta luv your tips. I come in and see the big glass jar spilling over, and I think "buncha dollar bills" but it's full of 20's, benjamins, and all this other currency too. Tink and boys I'll leave your cuts in the usual place.

TX you are a barman's gentleman. You order like you've been on that stool for decades. And we appreciate the, uh, extra protection.

Bells we're brewed and ready for refills whenever you need. Here's a spatula if you want to scrape out the bottom.

Choco milkshakes are also coming out thick this morning. Ahh. Nuthin' like a choco bean milkshake on a cold morning. Or a warm evening for you folks down under. Please tell us a bit about the sun. Many of us haven't seen much in weeks

Although that reminds me of a sunrise pic I snapped the other morning. I'll bring it in later.

--J--!! Up 'n at 'em buddy boy! I thought I hadn't seen you in here for a while but then the back corner started emitting that... odor. Shower up and come on back in later. We love ya, buy enough is enough. I called a cab. Yeah that company that doesn't mind... well anyway they use those slip covers and deep pocketed floor mats.

Breakfast is served. Spam and eggs, spinach and home fries. Ask Tink for extra grease if you're feeling un-lubed.

I love spam.

Manfred

Here you go. The sunrise was quite striking coming through town that morning, with little puffy clouds half lit by sun rays shining between clouds on the eastern horizon.

Warner, you sound like a man in need of a job. We always have odds and ends that need to be done around here. Sweeping, cleaning the johns, mowing the yard, washing the planes, stacking ammo crates ummm... Yea, no big deal. Heavy though. I'm sure whenever Parrot gets back from his smuggling run sightseeing voyage, that we'll have plenty of unloading and maintenance chores to do. If you are interested, it would be a good way to have some spending money in your pocket.

Let me know...

Alright!!! Everyone out!! The Jolly Roger is officially closed for 10 hours!!!!

Great. Now that everyone is gone, I would like to give you guys, my very valued and appreciated employees your Christmas bonus! First of all, I want to thank you all for all of the help you have given me with our enterprise this year. I couldn't do it without you! I know ya'll would like to go home to your families if we aren't going to be open, so I'll get to the point.

Thank you Manfred, Parrot, and RealTink. If anyone sees Paul or Jacob, tell them that I have something for them and it would be nice if they would drop in every once in a while.

I want to split 4/5 of this evenly between the three of you, and we'll give the other fifth to Paul and Jacob if they ever show up. Use this to pay the light bill at home or buy an extra gallon of milk. You deserve it!

Manfred, you have really went above and beyond this year for me, so I would like to throw in a little extra for you. Maybe you can buy that horse or something, rather than just renting it. Thank you very much.

Guys (and gals), I really do appreciate the help with the thread. I wish in real life I was able to do at least something for you. Thanks for the laughs and even if virtual, a familiar place to spend time while I'm so often away from my real family. I really appreciate you all. (And our "customers" too...)

Yea... We didnt leave, we just hid in the bathroom till yall ended the meeting...

My high school football team played in the state championship yesterday. Great game. We won 35-28. Today, I found out our starting quarterback broke his clavicle in the first quarter, he played the whole game with it. He didnt tell the coaches and just got it checked out today.

We now have two state championships in football in a row. We are 29-0 over the last two seasons.

Looks like your QB is a tough SOB. Congrats on the perfect seasons... You'll always be a little bit famous for that...

I sent everyone home, and I'm not much of a bartender or waitress, but I'll hang out and keep the place open for you guys I guess. Honestly, just serve yourself, and put the dishes in the sink. I'm like Santa anyway, so I'll know pretty quickly if anyone does anything they shouldn't. I figure it'll just be the regulars here tonight anyway, so you guys all know where everything is and I don't have to worry too much. Jasonmc, if you are still here, I'm gonna give you this little remote control. If Dr Dave shows up with his harem, push the button please. If anything else happens, you know where Manfred's sawed off is, and I know you know how to use it. Just push the button in the mean time please if I'm in my office.

If Warner comes in, we'll see if he wants to work, or if he wants to be broke. If he wants to work, he can help me with everything but the booze. It'll be interesting to see what he chooses...

That's funny. But I'm only leaving you in charge of the button pushing. Don't even tell anyone else you have it. I've got a bit of work to do in my office, and I may take a nap, but that'll get me out here quick if anything stirs up. Your tab is in me tonight.

Ok Warner. We'll give it a go and see what you can do. A couple of rules: my office requires a retinal scan plus a few other odds and ends to enter, but if for some reason the door is open; you probably need to avoid going in unless you are invited. We are a tight knit crew around here, so we really do keep what happens here to ourselves for the most part. Finally, there is a great deal of firepower here... We have everything from missiles; miniguns, shotguns, handguns, flame throwers, a few other things you will see in time, and even iron skillets. Parrot is our resident weapons instructor. DO NOT handle anything you see sitting around until he has time to properly train you in the safe and responsible handling of such items. Firearms safety is something every young person should learn, and if you work here, you will.

Ok. Let's give 'er a go. If you work out, we'll add you to the staff, and your earnings potential will increase greatly. Right now, we'll pay you for each job you do. You can either trust that I will be fair, or we can work it out job by job. I suggest trusting me.

So if you'll start on that pile of dishes over there...

Remember, hard work will get you anywhere you want to go!

Yay, welcome to the crew Warner.

Hmm Jas, sounds like exactly who should be in charge of something! You are cursed. That's what you get for being reasonable and reliable.

Jacko, thank you for the more than generous profit sharing. Looks like I can buy that saddle and boots now. The horse, we will keep renting. That's my rule. There are some things that we should rent, or else you have the Favorite Day Owning a XXXX joke... was the day I sold it. Boats, horses, vacation condos. Rent, rent, rent. RV's. Tuxedos. And inflatable bouncy slides.

Anyway, thanks a bunch for everything. This is the best place to work, ever.

I'll take the gold to the bank now. But I think I'll need to rent a truck to move it :side:

Jason, the funny part of your situation is that you were not put in charge of anything at the looney bin. You were basically told that we're gonna give you this power in case we want you to use it. I don't recall anyone telling you to load that gun and use it. Folks just got mad when you didn't. That's a pretty big catch 22, so like I've told you privately, keep your head up and don't worry about it. You are doing fine. Now it would have been nice to see some unity in the problem that caused all of this, but that also involved bucking authority a little bit. It takes most people a while to get to that, and the authority figure you were bucking was a really nice guy who was already having a really bad month. That takes even more care to accomplish. I have no idea if I got it right, or if he can't stand me. Hopefully if it is the latter, we can work on it over time.

Anyway.... Don't be beating yourself up Jason. You were never in charge really, so the blame doesn't go on you.

Ok Warner. I'm impressed to see that you have mowed the yard, cleaned up the parking lot, cleaned the bathrooms, filled in potholes with gravel and even washed Manfred's plane ... You are hired. Here is your company credit card, keys, and the numbers for the bank account that your pay will be deposited in. I appreciate someone who can take the initiative and take care of the obvious stuff without having to be asked.

Now I believe our arrangement up to this point was to pay you for the job as it was done. Hopefully this will cover what you have done up to this point. From now on, just use that account info I gave you. There will be money there.

On another note, if anyone sees Parrot, tell him that his bonus is waiting on him, and that we've got a new guy that needs a little extra training.
