I took a 5 min ban earlier on Magenta. Same type of stuff so I killed him over and over till I had to sit out.

I ended up in another game with him while RichyRoo posted this.
And took others shots that I am afrad I can not post due to the discusting words and foul language that came from this thing!

As far as the forum being moderated better than the game. The game has more going on and a lot more people are on it then the forum. The game is moderated pretty good I think.

General, I like you but that was just an observation, why after my pictures aren't you telling us what you are going to do? None of the swear words were censored and this needs to be sorted!

Apparently he is banned and muted......Manfred does a great job on the blacklist thread. He is a pro. The mods all have their own talents on the forum and on the game. We all have our part.

Im totally with you Roo, except that the language directed to the staff and volunteers is not kind or fair.

Fair enough, no mod was showing online and noone but manfred acts on the blacklist so what's the point? Should I PM every mod on the off chance they're online but not showing on the 'users online bar'. Also your moaning at me about the pictures but what's been done to him? Still no answer!!!!

I told you another mod banned him permanetly......I don't know who did but my panel said perm ban and mute.

The Mod's do a great job..... I hate to see all the bickering lately...I'll have to try the above again to hide from all this...

It is not the mods fault that the bann isn't working. They bann people and there is a chance it might work it might not. As far as i know that is all they can do about it.

Sorry I typed this and didn't hit submit until now and it's no longer relevant. OK maybe it was...what I said (well I said it once and it was deleted??) was he seems like someone who has a problem with the community. He needs to be removed and simple mod tools may not be enough...get a range of IPs for him and get his location and I will send Johnny 'No Thumbs' or at least keep record so we can see him when he makes a new account

Magentabaron is showing as banned. He has shown as banned for two months.

After reading some of Joaquin's posts about new banning functions, I could only assume the following but hadn't wanted to post this on the forum, but now you leave me no choice:
1) Using ban commands in-game seems to incur only a temporary ban:
- Kick (which is just a kick out of the game)
- Temp Ban (which is like a few hours)
- Ban (which is just a couple days)

2) Strangely, even when you Ban in-game, the web interface moderator panel shows the player as banned EVEN AFTER HE BECOMES UNBANNED! (EDIT: And if we try to unban him from the mod panel while he is banned from in-game, it DOES NOT reset!)

3) So, the only solution is to wait until the player is unbanned from the in-game banning, go unban him on the moderator panel, and then immediately re-ban him.

4) I've been wanting to do this for the past couple weeks, except that the constant complaints about magentabaron have a few of the mods still banning him from in-game. Not to mention that when I saw him in-game, I immediately was possessed by the banning instinct and banned him on the spot. Heck, this was after Joaquin chastised me for banning too many players, and I was on a bit of a ban strike. But I couldn't resist!

So there we are. After this thread and all the emotion, I'm sure a mod has seen him in-game and banned his a$$. Which, given the crappy tools we are armed with, is not doing any good.

Normally I would continue to be incensed by the player. But you know what? After the other threads this morning, taking good time away from my July 4, not to mention everything that preceded it, I DON'T F***ING CARE! LIVE WITH IT! PLAY THE GAME.

In fact, that's what I'm going to do right now. Play the game. In fact, I just resigned from moderation. It does no f***ing good.

After all, what's the phrase... oh yeah... "it's only a game."
