Just curious how this works... It you're banned or muted can you still use world chat? Anyone?

Mods correct me if I'm wrong, but I *think* it's:
- Game muted: cannot chat in-game, CAN chat in world chat
- Game banned: cannot get into multiplayer so cannot world chat or game chat

Banned can chat on world chat.
muted can not chat in-game or world chat.


Edit: To our experienced pilots. Now that a lot of players are not on forum the World Chat is our chance to tell some of our trouble makers what they are doing wrong (ie Team Killers). I do ban them but they can post on World Chat. This is a good opportunity to tell them that it is not a good thing. Try and be nice!

If Zup killed the world chat it probably would

1, take away a lott of foul language.

2, get more players to go to the forum where mods can edit out language.

3, don't scare players or investors of even before they tried the game.

I got an idea. How about zup lets the mods able to edit and delete foul language on world chat

Don't they have enough to do here and ingame?
To add another burden on their crooked backs would in my opinion be devastating

Squad chat is good, world chat BAD

I like the world chat and think that it should stay. Fourm is great but there are times when the game is acting up and it takes time for it to hit forum, however it shows up on world chat right away. Plus when your waiting to log in it can give you a heads up on who is around playing. The foul language......... Ahhh it is what it is, I where boxer briefs to ensure good blood flow, so It doesn't bother me much. I do understand we have many younger players and we need to keep this good for all, so maybe so form of a timed chat time out would be good for some players to have. This chat has (I think, maybe feed back would be good?) helped some of the newer players get motivated to play the game.
At the end of the day if you don't like the way things are going in the chat section............ Well move on......
I have watch some players curse, but I have watched other playes go WAY over the top (some real contol issues) to state that it would not be allowed. I dont know what is more entertaining. The creative ways that some 12 year olds can come up with, to say they are cruising for chicks, or the over the top responses that some of the seasond players have felt so compelled to the point that they seem to lose their mind over it.

I'd hate to read this in the morning.

How about:
- simple mod button from world chat or on info page for a player
- results in a 2 day mute AND a message that appears for the player saying "You have been muted by a moderator because of your inappropriate post to World Chat. You should be able to chat again in 48 hours."

Or whatever timeframe. I think 4 days is best, but I know Z disagrees and also gets the email complaints.

I think similar to a team kill with a 5 minute block from texting with a message for all to see "SoandSo has been blocked for 5 minutes" would be a good way to get the point a crossed. I have watched players come into this game and start off on the wrong foot, to long of a ban may just push them away from the game completely. A public display of something not being tolerated could help stop the unacceptable behavior and also keep them from moving on to something else.

Really what else do you need to say. The game has a forum we can all come and babble on. You can talk about whatever you want right here. Just like the old days. They can save the cussing for when they are in a game. Also needs to be a lock out if you have the free trial version. No pay no txt. Some of these are free trial folks just coming here and texting. The preset txts solve the problem. If you want to visit make a forum account just like we all did.

Add a brief and simple explaination to the world chat page on how to create a forum account with Facebook. Or a create forum account button. Who doesn't like pushing buttons. That seems to be a problem for most. Another thing that is not explained with a how to. Viola, problem solved.

I believe he is probably been at the other end of one of your Win 8 massacres. Okay i get it. It's not your fault. But remember when you are shooting someone in tank you are going to cause him to die over and over again at his runway when your phantom kills start racking up. Also remember his tank is no threat to your base as he was probably legitimately killed two minutes ago. Go ahead and rack'em up but be merciful.

I witnessed franky2 do this a little while back as well

croutonman100, I played in a game this weekend, took off from base, he took off behind me started shooting at me. After 1 hit he would shoot at someone else ( only putting in one shot, not to kill you, just damage you ). When I asked why, no answer.

Reporting 16Odysses for tank spwan killing in a ffa. No good proof so just keep an eye on him.

Sam22 for bad language. I have screencaps of it.
The bad language was aimed at [M]McFate.
I won't post the language but I'm happy to send it to any mod requesting it.

Some back ground on me and Sam22:

The first encounter I had with Sam22 was a dogfight. He was fresh from the noob server. I spawned in and Sam got me before my wheels were off the runway. I say "I'm hunting you now Sam22" He goes off with profanities saying how it's unfair because he only has a noob plane. I said I was hunting him for the shameless spawnkill. He says FU for calling him a cheater. (others tell him to watch his language) I said spawnkilling is not cheating, just bad form and it's best not to do it so you don't piss people off...He goes on saying just wait 'till he gets a better plane...
Anyway, I didn't really end up hunting him.

Saw him here and there for the last couple of weeks, I almost said something to him about his new planes and his obviously improving skills but the right moment never came. No trouble for many games, then I see him going off at someone for cheating. Not sure who (possibly me) but he was spewing profanities again then left the game soon after.

His tirade cools a little; atleast, his profanity slows down a bit.

He tells me "this was a peaceful game until you came. people have been telling me you're after me for revenge."

"I really wanted to talk to you" (I really did. I just figured there was no way I would get the chance)

Nothing from Sam.

2 Morafs spawn in to make 5 reds. Sam and I and lower rank put up a good fight. It was a good game. Sam22 has some good skill for his rank; and though I don't know for sure, I don't think it's a second account. He didn't show up in the next game.


Well. How often do you get the chance to peacefully and directly air your grevances in a venue of your peers? It would not have happened if either of us had team killed. If we had not both been blue the game probably would have fed the anger. We'll see. Reform is a lot to ask for. I said all I wanted to say. It's up to him now.

I did one better, I 'accidently' dropped a bomb on his ass as he was reloading...... Blue on blue though but he was vile the other night when Ronnie Biggs and I were ingame.

Was just in a game with skystone, cricket, 213, Zuperman when sam22 joins in blue, I said this'll get interesting but he didn't say a thing, he played well and no problems but look......straight as Zup left....
