Man, I would do anything to get my hands on a genuine K-BAR.

Perhaps in the future, as for now I just needed a quick EDC knife that would last the next decade. :cheer:

My EDC the Kershaw Whirlwind hasn't failed me yet and I've had it for 6 years so far. I totally disassembled it for a thorough cleaning and lube job. I was very surprised by its internal workings, very simple and reliable, more so than I originally thought. It has threaded brass inserts in the outer shell so you can take the screws out and put them back in without fear of stripping, the spring assist mechanism is simpler than I ever imagined, and underneath the plastic shell are two very sturdy stainless shanks for reinforcement. I already loved the knife then I saw how it is made! I highly recommend that you at least look at it for an EDC.

And "Tacticool".

Too often anymore do you see people who believe they're weapon experts -- because they play Cowadooty or Battlederp. Or you seem them being tacticool with their airsoft guns attaching 4 flashlights/lasers, etc.

This is why I don't like Call of Duty or other major FPS games too much.

I like the originals though. (CoD1 for PC, BF1942, etc)

YES. I love Day-Z. By far the coolest Arma 2 mod ever released.

You literally cannot trust anyone. Morals do not apply to that game. Insanity.

Plus there's nothing like raiding a robber's camp and stealing tents.

...Arma 2 is only £14.99. Not to mention -- you need a higher end computer to run it.

Arma 2 is a game for mature players, it requires actual tactics, planning, patience, weapon knowledge, tracking skills, ballistics knowledge, vital point knowledge, scouting/recon abilities, being able to read a map & compass with precision, etc. Not running around shooting everything that moves in an enclosed map so you can hit "5th prestige". ;)

"Tacticool" isn't a term that means something that is "tactical and cool".

It means that the said weapon/support tool no longer "tactical" but instead stupid or ineffective in an actual combat scenario.

Nowadays, Cowadooty seems to have changed the meaning of "tactical". When people hear the word, they think "omg secret militry operationzz!!!11"

A tactical weapon/object by definition is something that allows the user to make offensive attacks. A.K.A something made to kill. Not something made to be defensive.

And certainly not a term to cover every single military operation, "special operations video game", etc.

I know, that's why I posted the gun pic, but this probably more so fits tacticool.

Ok, scratch my first gun, here's a tacticool gun

you gotta admit, this'd be more cumbersome and heavy than the firepower it's worth.
Why is there a megaphone and a cell phone?
Also, if the knife is placed on the side of what seems to my friend, to be a chainsaw, why is the knife needed? It's not like the knife even sticks out...

The torque from the chainsaw would cause inaccurate firing, the back blast from that RPG (RPG-5 or RPG-7?) would literally burn you/kill you, Megaphone is useless and --

Well, it's not even tacticool. It's stupid. :P

It's not a matter of how fast -- but your system specs as an entire machine.

Day-Z is just an Arma 2 mod.

If you run it on the minimum requirements, you might as well not even play. Snipers and people with high end computers will pick you off half a klick away with ease since they have the visibility settings cranked to the maximum.

Watch some Day-Z videos on Youtube. It's pretty awesome if you want to see some gameplay.

sorry guys i did mean arma2 but i dont play it lol, ive had 30mins at my friends pc and all i can say is in the arma2 mode it is more a simulator than a game - very tactical and very high end military strategy. - look on youtube and you will love it.........

Yeah. I really like how you have to mentally calculate ballistics while on the move and dial in your shot at certain distances. The vehicular combat is also fantastic and realistic. It's just a great game.

If any of you guys decide to get it -- expect to die online. A lot. It takes a bit of getting used to. But hey, how else do you learn the lingo? :)

So you can only play Arma2 on a desk top or lap top? I wonder how powerful the PC has to be. And, you just use key board or does it require special controller? My interest is more than peaked. ;)

Desktop for sure. And nah, just regular keyboard & mouse. Though, you can use a joystick and whatnot for vehicles/aircraft.

LOL@Mad's video.

Gosh, I want to play badly now.
