I totally ennoyed hearing (reading) all the good news. Not sure,I shared this but I recently rode my two wheel beast to Iowa. I was asked to be the transport bike for a friend's cremains.
I and Ed were escorted to the cemetary, about forty miles from the funeral home, by sixteen Patriot Guard Riders. Ihave been a member since2006,and Ed always said he would love it for us to attend when time came.
He was with me at Naval Hospital Guam. His family was blown away at the awesome sight of us riding in staggered formation, running down an Iowa state highway. From my rearview, all I saw was motorcycles and American flags. I grinned, it was a wonderful trip and I loved being up there. Got to see another guy from my Navy days the next day.
Made it home and four days later rode a local funeral mission for another person I knew. She was an AF reserve vet and PGR up until she got sick. I was riding home and lost the road on a ninety degree turn. I came too fast into it. I didn't get hurt, bike ok. My son laughed at the story ( he rides andknows where this was) . Apparently, I am not the only one who did this in the family...
Anyways, nust congratulations on the promotons, thekills, andthe cancer victory! Also huge prayers toal for continued good health and recovery.
