Hi Dearest members of TFL,

As I said in my post of two weeks ago, I have switched to elite (indeed, I've uninstalled df1 from my laptop to avoid any temptation to return). I have also learned how to post screenshots. So here are some pics of my time in elite:



Here's my first game with more that 100 kills:



Here's my second game with more than 100 kills:



And here's my current world rank in elite (note the positive kdr and, perhaps more importantly, that I just passed zup yesterday):



As I said in my prior post, you should all switch to Elite... there are still some issues (some days are worse than others), but overall, it is a superior game (much harder to play, but also much more amenable to strategy).

p.s., Bob, sorry that I didn't reply to your inquiry about the bugs of elite... there are some, but they aren't that bad (the occasional lost connection is really the problem).

Hope to see all my TFL brethren in Elite soon!

I probably would switch to elite since that seems to be where we are headed anyway. But having to start over just isn't my thing.

I should clarify a couple of things about my post:

1. It is totally a braggart's post, and for that I apologize... I am (relatively) certain that these stats will not last long... you will notice that my total kills are considerably less than 10000... when the merge with df1 happens, I am going to fall (my best wr in df1 was 980, so it should be an abrupt and immediate decline). Never mind the fact that as it currently stands, there are many, many, many talented flyers currently playing in elite (much better than me) who are closing in fast (e.g., rez, sharpshooter, eagle, kunuckles, dunc, lunas wolf, bluefighter, and the list goes on...).

2. Apart from the bragging, I was also trying to show how quickly a noob like myself (less than 5 months playing) can excel in elite... for all the newer members of TFL, I think you are likely to be better prepared if you make the switch now, before the merge happens, to be well situated as a 'force to be reckoned with' when it does happen. Why learn/improve your shooting abilities without the bullet drop, given that the bullet drop is going to be an unavoidable feature of the game soon.

3. @Lunas Wolf... you are:
a. Right to say that I should play less
b. A great pilot to fly with and a fierce opponent to fly against
c. And someone to whom I owe an apology... I should have specified in that first pic that you weren't playing the game, but were instead engaged in an hilarious and impressive exhibition of 'stunt landings'... those nine deaths were all 'crashes', not 'kills' and do not reflect your abilities to fight in any way.

4. Finally, one point about elite that I omitted from my prior attempt to cajole/encourage you all to switch; the character of the pilots currently playing. My flying time in elite has been (almost) universally positive... all opponents and teammates are amazing flyers, and they are all able to crack jokes and have fun without the drama... whether its the Misfits (bullet, CC, lt. Dan, mongo, squeaky, and most recently Pagan flying as 'Merry Meet', I think), the Wolf Pack (Lunas, Dunc, Cypher, Viper), GI (rez, sharpshooter, eagle, pinkstar), NLR (McFate, bluefighter, Jacob1000) or any of the assortment of others (bstrachan, frits, tango56, kunuckles, teganap, vhuntress) with whom I have had the pleasure of flying in elite, the games are always amazing (barring lost connections, which do happen a little too often). So if you're fed up with/annoyed by the drama that can sometimes appear in df1, you won't find any of it in elite (at least not yet... here's hoping never ).

lol uncertain my 9 deaths were all landings that i had succeeded an u had seen upon each one of you take offs lol u seen me all over the base in diff ways and diff spots and too add to the WP list Lunas dunc viper cypher josey wulf yogy kimber etc u flew with alot of us and u my friend are a force to be reckoned with in the skies of elite and uncertain surely is certain{see wut i did there lol}that u all are great pilots and should switch over soo u can be ready for all the new physics that have been implemented into the game there will be alot of ppl willing to help you out once u ask for help in the game and uncertain it looks like gettin your butt kicked by me did help your aim i never said your welcome and u never said thxs lol soooo your welcome uncertain see u in the skies of elite at the end of May

When a plane gets the upgrade to Carrie a 2nd bomp does the plane slow down even more? If so should I do a speed up grade first?

You'll always need more speed on every run. Go for speed. RIGHT ON BROTHER!

I agree with always trouble, I think is best that you leave the extra bomb upgrade for last. The plane does go slower with the second bomb, some players prefer it because it helps them on their aim, but I would leave that up grade for last. Hope you, Trouble and all @ TFL Family are doing ok.
