If you are having a hard time seeing in Night Games
please read below
* I also created a seperate thread on this in our TFL site for future reference *
Can't see a thing in night games? Neither can I. I even gave it a second chance and it's the same thing.
I used to love playing night games but not too long ago my tablet's brightness drops down to 70% and I can't see a plane for squat. I would shoot at the plane from memory of knowing where it should be but not by seeing it. Before my tablet's brightness only dropped down to 90% and all was ok. I never knew what people were complaining about when saying they hate the night. Well now I do.
Here is how to remove the night games permanently. Just note that it will always be day games. It won't be bright, sunny days. It will be somewhat a cloudy day, greyish/brownish skies. At least I can see the planes though.
Unistall DF. Then reinstall it. As soon as level 1 is complete on the reinstall power off your device. Then go back and open DF and complete the registration process.
That's it. No more night games.
As I mentioned night games can be fun. I don't believe it was meant to be played when a tablet's brightness, such as mine, drops down where one can't see the plane at all.
I know many players know to do this already but I figured that I would share this info with those of you that don't.
As for pc players, I believe if you press the F12 key this will remove the night mode.
*** Here are some other helpful things I learned along the way about settings ***
- In settings go to Graphics. I like to have all options off (unchecked) other than the chats. Leave the chats on.
- In settings go to Sounds and you can turn off the music. Turning it off will help save your battery life. Well at least I think so plus that song drives me bananas after hearing it a few hundred times.
- in settings go to Controls and set the sensitivity bar to Max. Well this is a prefence thing and you should set it to your liking. The higher the sensitivity the faster and more responsive your plane will be. This makes it harder to aim in the head to head fighting but once you get used to it you will have no problem. Also you can throttle down a little to make aiming easier.
The reason to set the sensitivity to max is that this is necessary to compete in turn fights. Anything less than max setting and you are in a disadvantage to the other players that have theirs set to max and yes it will impact the play. In other words if you are not set on max you are good as dead in a turn fight against the same plane you have or better.
