Picture this...
Black-tie fundraiser, which I host every year. The money goes to shelters & food banks. We serve good food to make THEM feel guilty. Mac and cheese. Bologna sandwiches. Spam. Cup of soup. Jello. Give me a grand and you can enjoy.

I gave my welcoming speech (read guilt trip), started to enjoy dinner, and wound up with my face in the mac and cheese!
The scar tissue from my previous surgery on my spinal cord had touched it again!
Paralyzed from the head down! Made for an incredible scene! Told folks goodnight from the gurney. And back for more slicing.

All went well..back to stage 1...

Well as usual there's good news and bad news, depending on your perspective.

A quick glance at the ranking chart shows that Wig's rate of ascent up the chart has slowed CONSIDERABLY. (Sorry Wig, that's the bad news for you!) He has only climbed five spots in 22 days (to number 25 as of today 12/5/12) since my last PSA on 11/13/12 (when he was at 30). This translates into an average daily rate of climb of just .227 spots per day. He has 24 spots to go.

If present trends continue, the newly revised projected date of the apocowigopolips is now approximately March 21, 2013! That means you still have time to finish your Christmas Holiday shopping! . . . But Easter 2013 is thoroughly f***ed!

Bopester, I tol' ya that rate of ascent would slow. The closer you get to the top, it would seem, the farther you are from reaching it. Er...sumthin' like that. A grinding slow-down you have to look forward to on your own impressive race up the charts, Mr. Sputtiness.
