A beautiful bike, Brian! I am not to be trusted with such things. Give me a bike like that, and I'll give you your next Darwin Award Winnner!

That bike right there will bring the Devil out in yah!!! Trust me that is agreed by many ah mechanic. My dad rode it one time. From my house to the gas station (about 3 city blocks) did a power slide up to the pump, flicked the kick stand down, and said "I have no business riding that beast"!!!

He is a rider, this was on a vist when he rode from Montana over to Virgina. He is used to a bit of a coushier Harley.

May not be the fastest but she sure is loud and raunchy like her owner

Hello my fellow df brothers....I have a issue I need to resolve. I've only been playing this game for 6 to 7 months I even took a month off.. Most of you older guys know a former player but the name of Duckwing. I never got the pleasure to chat or to play with this man as many of you did.
A few months ago I was playing a game and Plur was there. Doing his usual thing but not playing and watching. I seen his tag on top of this hill behind the German airbase. I asked him for is that you on top of that hill. His response was, it's not a hill, it's Duckwing mountain. At that time I thought well he's just off the deep end doing his usual thing so I shrugged it off. So as time goes by I dig through the forum threads third just see if I can find some new tricks or anything I can pick up on.
I came across a story of Duckwing. No one's told me about this and so I had to read it for myself.
This truly has to be one of the best stories of DF.
Well last night, I came across somebody called Sir Wollff. I told him I took a screenshot of that monument. He thought I was nuts and was parading around like some kind of joke and was being disrespectful.
I've been the military for eight years I know a little thing called respect. I would like to pay tribute to that guy (no disrespect intended).
I think the biggest disrespect is to forget them and not memorialize, tribute or remember them.
If you don't know the story please go back to the threads and read and pay tribute to him even if you didn't get to meet him.
In the game I asked somebody to join me to find it, actually just trying share it with someone. I hope that in itself wasn't disrespectful.
Nevertheless a very good story for everyone to read, in the threads.

Walleye, in case you didn't pick up on it, Duckwing was a M.O.M to the very end. What he did was heroic, how he played this game was amazing! We try to teach the newcomers about the reason for it being called Duckwing mountain and why there is a strange edifice on the summit, by the way, when you are approaching it watch carefully there is a small bright yellow duck, the kind you get in the bath! under the edifice.

Yea, I got that. Threw all the threads I read. I someone had say to me, by taking a screen shot and paying tribute was disrespectful. I just didn't get it but, I'm sure the are wrong. I just wanted to be sure that the people in this game don't think that I was trying to be disrespectful.

One hot dog + Two buns = A story you can't share with your friends

EDIT: Ok after looking back at this, I realize it was before dinner. So I was in that "everything it about food" mode. The skinny chick looked like a hotdog and then we got some big old buns..... Nevermind none of it is making any sense to me now....

My cheap attempt at being crud, funny, and pg-13. All at the same time. I know damn well it is imposable for me to do more then any of the two at any giving moment.....

Riding a fat chick is like riding a moped. Sure its fun while your in the moment, but you never want your buddies to catch you!!!

Chuy's is a Tex-Mex joint mostly in Texas. They have a lot of funny T-Shirts. This is the first one I bought in honor of Episode 7. They had one with tortilla chips in the shape of Vader's helmet that said "I am nacho father." It was a tough decision.

Good to see the thread back. Guess I will repost it here in hopes that he and the rest of you may see it.

Weather[*M]an wrote: So I did a reading of this and posted it, but never posted the actual writing. With that in mind here it is.

I cannot begin to list nor prescribe to you my shortfalls and iniquities. They are numerous and without end. They are all in one a poor representation of the man I perceive inside when I attempt to describe that man out loud and besides, who listens to false hope and promises. I will not attempt to allow you on the one hand to view me as a mountain climber knowing that on the other hand I am barely able to crawl.

Understand it was never my hope to have you read between the lines and lies to see what I had hoped only I could see. Take a shower they said, you will feel cleaner they said. While I washed the dirt and grime from my outer layer my innermost pieces decayed and withered. It was not my hope that you see me this way.

But darling if you know me then trust me I know all my missteps. I know them all every time I look in that mirror. My distrust for the human race is no greater than the distrust I have for my own face. Believe me when I say I should have helped. The burden you felt was so unfair. Hanging on desperately to a sinking ship hoping that the floating remains would provide some semblance of a true relationship. I was nothing more than an albatross around your neck.

This might be a long-winded exposè on my personal self-loathing and fear, but understand I hated that it had become so clear and evident. You deserved the best or at least something or someone who didn't compromise and try to hide the darkness within itself. Everyone has their battles and demons, but why is it so damn easy to reason with and receive them without so much as a whimper?

I was a poor interpretation of that old Jekyll and Hyde. I tried to blend them together despite the groaning inside that something better was contained in this mere form. I pushed aside, over analyzed, and berated that notion inside that I was meant for more than a lackluster sideshow act. All the while, I made you stand idly by while watching me twist and writhe with those feelings of desperation and inadequacy thinking you would be better to avoid my struggles than take part in the demise.

I made you watch me drown and in the end silence was the sound that deafened even the farthest corners of my personal torment. I was alone. I had all at once won and lost the war that had been raging within those poor decayed pieces. I was left a hollow shell, a void in the space where I once fell, but it was in those moments of that living hell that I realized I was meant to exist. Of course, this was not without your help. Ghosts of the past still wander in that empty space awaiting their chance to be purged and vanquished by the new and near. This is just a intimate tale of a new war yet to be fought or the new ship ready for sail.

I need not another captain nor first mate to assist, just release my inhibitions and let the prevailing winds take hold of those sails. I no longer hate myself, just thought you should know. I have realized that in my passings and trespassings it gets me nowhere. I have already been there.

it is a slam poem I wrote myself. I put a recording on the Misfit thread of me reading it, but never got the chance to post the written version. Squad of 7 a.k.a Micheal and I have traded talks about art and poetry so I thought I would drop this off so he could see some of my newer writing.
