Speaking of that. We need to get some banners installed. I'll start some. J4ff when you read this can you also? I'd like to try the moraf banners. I'll need a picture to start from. J4ff please use your templates for the non morafs. Any objections?

But there will be a new logo and I hope background for banners in the future, so don't go mad on them.

Anything is better than nothing. And if saved right can be changed fairly easy. I haven't mastered that though.

I'm getting a friend to work up the banner template, after that it should just be a case of photoshopping in the text.....I hope.

Hey all,

As luck would have it I was posting when Rick got banned and was seeing Zup’s posts about the situation. I obviously wasn’t privy to their emails and haven’t reached out to either for their side of the story. Having said that, I was not pleased with what Zup did and I still find the entire episode disappointing. I really admire the work a number of you are doing here (led by Muck) trying to keep things afloat. For the record, I’m not playing lately due to the state of the game and the decision to “pay to play”. If things get fixed I may reevaluate that stance but I’m finding that there are other activities that can fill my time then paying to lag my way through this game. I should still be on the MOMzilla roster as that was the sub-squad I choose originally. No intention to leave.

Some things of note as I read through the forum (from one of the “original” members):

• The SC was created to provide some leadership to a squad that was founded on there not being leadership and making rules for a squad that was founded on not following rules. To think there was more to it than that is silly. Please don’t be silly.

• I’m not sure if Rick is declaring MOM items off-limits, but having seen the squad form I wouldn’t worry about it. Keep the name. Change it to MOM (no periods) if you can’t get access to the original name. As much as I appreciate the work Rick did, the squad was not about him but really about a bunch of old men getting together to play a stupid game. I fully support going back to the MOM squad tag.

• With regards to the artwork, if Rick doesn’t want to donate it to the squad then scrap it. As far as my banner, if I can ever find it (I think I saved it off), I plan on using it – Rick’s artwork be damned. You see I’m MOM and I don’t follow rules…even Rick’s and for that I’m sure he would agree.

Editorial Comment - Not being in the Star Chamber I can’t speak from firsthand knowledge, but I think the posts about them doing something shady or controlling is just silly (as stated above). I know things can be said and posted out of frustration, but if you have that take on it then it really shows a problem with you and not them. Who in the SC did anything to directly hurt you? What decisions were made that caused you pain? Did they talk about people behind their back…I’m sure they did. Who cares? We are a collection of virtual pilots and personas that may or may not be anything like you truly are. I’m fine that people took offense to it…their right. I’m fine that Zup decided he had enough and did what he did…his game. But my take is if you care so much about what some people say about you then you really have no self respect, and if you are going to take your ball and run home when someone gets in your face then you are showing your true colors as a “real” person (and an incredible lack of intelligence from a business owner standpoint).

I guess that was a long-winded way of saying, “here”.
