Anyway I and two others, have been slaving away over the name and logo. I'm happy to say, we cracked it, it will be revealed once it's been worked up properly, at present it just sitting in my mind till I have another friend do his magic with it. I think, I hope you will all like it, when its ready I'll give you a preview before going any further.
So that's all settled now, leaving you all free to get on with the important task of shooting down reds and bombing boats and things.

I'm of the opinion we should try to steer clear of the name M.O.M and it's logos. There's only one M.O.M and sadly it ain't on Dogfight anymore. We should respect the wishes of the guy who created EVERYTHING. Do we want a watered down M.O.M?

I like that heartless logo. It's got the perfect level of satire, snarkiness, and meanness that is MOM. I also like the YEMXs M.O.M.I. for the same reasons. And they both really capture our recent history.

We need to remember that while we call ourselves MOM, we are mean old MEN!! So let's make a damn decision! Doing something, even th wrong thing, is better than doing nothing.

By the way, I feel content to bitch like this since I am a MOM lifer!

Also, I participate in the other MOM forum. I have read some of our early posts in this forum. I am fine with dumping the logos Rick designed. However the name went through a wash and vote with the original members. M.O.M. as a name isn't really anyone's intellectual property. I like Rick, but if he did ask that it was going too far. All the more reason to go with M.O.M.I.
