Is everybody having a lot of trouble with lag? I'm playing and planes (all of them) disappear only to show up again about 3 seconds later in different places. I get ready to make a shot and all of a sudden the plane in front of me makes a bunch of jerky moves and is gone. Kinda frustrating. I know we are only working with 2 servers now, but is there any word on when things will improve?

All in all, I'm doing OK (about #355 right now) but I can only play for short periods of time so I try to play several short sessions per day. It's difficult to make progress when the game is so glitchy. Anybody else having problems too? Hope everybody is having a good holiday. I'm retired so all the days look the same to me You'll understand once you get there too.

Zebra Up, thanks for the info and I will check it out. I did have a few games yesterday that seemed to go OK and I may just be having problems during certain times of the day or days of the week (like weekends). I'll check out what Zuperman had to say.

The holidays are going OK. My kids are grown and have other families they have to visit too, but that's fine. Gives me more time to play on the computer anyway! LOL I hope you are doing well too. Are you still in Florida or are you someplace in the frozen north?

For Christmas I was up in Kansas at my friends' grandmothers farm hunting pheasant & quail, etc.. which is funny because I left awesome duck hunting here on my own lake to do it lol! Had a great time with friends & family for the holiday. We used to go up there every year to hunt deer at Thanksgiving but I hadn't been up there for many a year so it was wonderful to see 'Grandma' again & eat her home cooking!

Sounds like you had a great time! Good for you. I have never done much hunting, we just do in one or our cows and put that in the freezer, just love that home grown beef! I was a hunter education instructor for about 10 years when we had a gun club in town. I usually taught the black powder section. Teaching gun safety was very enjoyable. Have a safe trip back home. See you in the "unfriendly skies".

Great game with First Blood, but was ended after my 3+ hr struggle with guess what... A LAG OUT. It all went to shambles after they go near our base... GG Low, Poc, First, Jeff, etc.. but did get bummed out in the end with that ending...

Wow! Over 3 hours??? Dude, that's a looooong time. I'm good for about 45 minutes and my neck starts to ache, longer than that and I hurt for a few days. But, yes, lag is the new companion to Dog Fight. Hopefully they will get more servers back on line soon.

Half the time i was outnumbered, and i mean BAD.... but for the middle part of the 3hrs i had numbers on the reds kicking their hangars down to about 1 i believe... we had 5.. until the minute long lag bombarment that cost me the game -_-
But never the less, i will probably never do that again if i get rewarded with that "You Lose" screen

You remember how to replace this old one with the new one dave? (or you can just add the new one to your signature & use both lol!)

You just go to 'Profile' then hit 'Edit' (upper right-hand corner) then go to 'Profile Information' tab.. & insert the link of the new one in place of the old & don't forget to hit 'Save' at the bottom...

You can just right-click the new banner & hit 'Properties' to get the link, or just use this - [*IMG]i61.tinypic.com/fmjfk3.jpg[/IMG*] and remove the asterisks before using it.

I'm glad you like the new one! The one pic is one of New Zealand's most famous pilots in WWI doing a feat that both saved his life as well as made him a legend.. as for the other pic in the banner, (for those Lafayette pilots that aren't aware), daveofdeath is a Kiwi (a phrase meaning he is from New Zealand) & that birds' shadow you see in it is one of the OTHER well known birds from there.. along with the one on his original banner I made for him (a flightless bird I believe.. lol )
