Unanswered questions: how far do our machine guns fire?

If I see the zep and zero in on it from across the battlefield are the bullets hitting?

hi rez- i noticed you asked that question earlier and for some reason i didnt answer it.

from what i have experienced, it is possible to see the zep long before you are in range to shoot it. i think it may because it is such a large object. but i usually hold my fire until i can see the health bars on the engines. there are very few times i'd use the word "waste" when it comes to ammo, but a zep mission pays you for your patience. don't waste your bullets trying to hit the zep from across the map.

After watching a few of the uploaded videos of dogfight from the new record feature, I can see there is definitely a big advantage to some players, and it's not because they have just been playing longer.

I notice they are able to react quicker, unlike my phone or ipad, they chute gun can turn a lot faster, and easier to aim, they are able to smoothly adjust their aim, etc.

Someone told me that those that tend to score higher in a game are on better servers, and that could be part of it, but I think it's also their system they are using. My brother use to do a live NASCAR game and he could tell the difference between how people drove, better processing speeds really help out in live games (or any game for that matter).

With that said, I will just accept I can't compete with those guys with such an unfair advantage and will continue to just collect bullets in my planes.

Not sure if they do underwear, I was looking for a G-string and a suspenders combo, but had to settle with a T-shirt. Hopefully they will eventually add a full body-stocking or a nice frilly corset, perhaps even a Mankini, but I am happy with my T-shirt for now.

another week done! i've been seeing plenty of g.i's in the sky and it is a fine sight. this week we welcome a new recruit to the #22 spot. welcome to the top 25 slyguy! he joined wing 1 early in the week. this week we had a dead heat along most the top 20 but nightorado shakes things up by climbing into the #18 slot. keep flying hard!

we have had some good level ups and have said hello to some new members this week. it's great to see new names on the forum so let's keep encouraging new gunners to join us here. our recruiting has picked up in recent weeks. outfitting everyone with banners keeps me busy and i appreciate the help that mayday and myrlinwolf have offered.

in other news, i have been working closely with Armament on revamping the existing gunners inc website. so far the work he has been doing has been terrific and i'll send out an email to all the members once we are ready to relaunch entirely. the main goal of the website is to offer a place for all pilots of gunners inc to be in the same chatroom. so if you'd like to meet other pilots in g.i and chat, that will be the place to do it. stay tuned for more info on that.

as always it is a pleasure to be a part of Gunners Inc and i hope you all find success in the skies!

mayday it happens to me too on my phone, but not the ipad. Also I can't delete any mistakes on my phone either, can be very frustrating.

I've never been in a game where my teammate tanked up, but I have seen it happen before, and yes it's just not cool. I would never do it, because my tank and chute are both really slow (both phone and ipad), but having seen some of the videos out there, some tanks move really fast and the aiming is very easy for them. I don't know if it's more helpful or not for an outnumbered game. However, it would be nice to see them in the sky to help out.

Hey Pink and all GIs,

I'm sorry but you're probably going to have to give me the boot, I am not a quitter.... I have not been able to fly due to no way to control a plane....

Joined gunners with the idea of being able to excel with a new desktop and monitor so tossed the tablet only to discover to my dismay that the joystick doesn't work with the game.... borrowed an xbox 360 controller but it is wired backwards, gave it back....

There are several problems involved.... the first being that Logitec doesn't support 64bit yet if ever and the game doesn't recognize a plug n play joystick.... with a 32bit computer the joystick is programmable to hit the keyboard buttons needed to fly.... with other games the controller is recognized and programmable within the game.... I cannot afford a smart phone or yet another 32bit computer but can swing a different controller if available....

I sent an email to Zup last week, no reply....

I haven't given up yet on finding a solution but do what you need to do.... Thanks and it was fun while it lasted....
