I hate the session expiration thing....
Don't worry, Dent, we won't punish anyone without certainty. If we weren't being careful, they'd both be out by now.
I agree, DXP, clearer guidelines would be helpful.
First, we shouldn't force anyone to spawnkill under any circumstances. Our rules should outline what you CAN do, not force someone's hand.
Second, we need a definition for spawnkilliing. My definition is shooting someone who doesn't have the ability to evade your bullets, or return fire. These are people who just spawned, and they don't have full maneuverability yet, or people who haven't even gotten into the air. An acceptable kill, to me, is when you're running a bomb down the middle of the runway, and someone gets into the air. They can immediately shoot at you, because they don't need to turn. They can be shot. However, if you run one down the back of the runway, you should wait for the enemy to be up long enough to drop their bomb. Same applies when you spawn behind someone in an FFA. What's your definition?
Third, what can you do to cover your own run? I say that one or two killings are acceptable, provided that you intend to bomb. Seem fair?
Fourth, what can you do to cover a teammate? I've never been in favor of aiding teammates much, because it negates skill gain. They would gain more skill from shooting a useful opponent than you would by spawnkilling, therefore, it shouldn't be done. What do you think?
Fifth, what can you do to someone ruining a game? I don't think that a rule can be made here, there's too many situations. I just let the punishment fit the crime. Any idea how to make a rule here?
