I'm not sure I have seen this particular glitch mentioned so far. Has anyone else experienced this glitch which happens while shooting a tank? The bullets register only so many hits, then stop registering even though you are still hitting the tank. You have to make a second and sometimes third pass because only a certain number of hits will register at any given time. I initially suspected the tank was dead but waiting for the lag to show it as destroyed once the bullets stopped registering hits but that isn't the case at all. I tried to find some mention of this particular glitch in past threads with no luck. Its kind of frustrating because it takes more than one pass to kill a tank, regardless of how accurate a person is. At least that is how it works for me.

Its not a glitch.

There is a limit on the number of lines displayed on screen.

So, while you keep shooting at the tank, the screen actually SHOWS each hit you land, but you can't notice it, cuz the oldest line is replaced by the second-older, the 2nd replaced by the 3rd and so on; and since all lines have exactly the same words, you have the ilusion the lines are not "moving up" - when, in fact, they are.

Edit: To make things easier for us when shooting tanks, it would be nice to know WHEN TO STOP SHOOTING at them - cuz, to prevent losing the points, I keep shooting at the tanks until I can read the message, what makes me waste dozens and dozens of my precious bullets (cuz most of the time, the message arrives on the screen way after you actualy kills the tank)...

With all due respect, I beg to differ Ped. What you described is the way it used to be, but not while I am shooting a tank. I can tell the hits stop registering because if some other message is displayed; someone else is brought down, chat, etc. that message will stay while I am on target on the tank. Im not sure if I explained that sufficiently, but that is how it works. What appears to happen is there is a limit to the number of hits, then a pause while hits don't register, then it will start registering hits again, regardless of my shots being on target. I can assure you they are. The delay is a few seconds, perhaps 3-5, but they are some really long seconds. My current solution is when the hits stop registering I loop and start again or else I will be an easy target as I close the gap between me and the tank.

Almost always carrying a bomb, but not always when this happens. Oh by the way, this always happens when I am targeting a tank. I assume based on the responses this is only happening to me?

Happens to me, too, Viper. (iPad 2)

Also getting weird 5 or 6 second screen & audio freezes usually in the heat of battle. When it comes back things are usually a bit further on than when initially starts.

Looks like I didnt make myself clear enough. Not your fault, viper, its on my bad English.
What i wanted to say is:

When you hit the tank, say, 10 times in a row, you only see 7 messages, cuz the 3 older messages are deleted from the screen. If you pause, other messages appear. When you engage and shoot again, your screen shows again your hits. Say, if you hit it again, 20 times more, you will believe only 7 landed, cuz the text on the screen doesnt seems to change... but it actually CHANGES!
Think about it: 7 hits, 7 lines saying "you've hit Pedrinho". At the 8th time you hit me, the oldest line disappears, and a new one is written - but since all lines have the same words, and there is no animation showing the lines "going up", you cant tell when the screen updates every new line of text - unless you STOP SHOOTING, giving the servers time to show another line of text from other players actions.
Believe me, I had the same reaction the fist time I played on this new update versiom (on which tanks need way more hits to die).
So, keep shooting, dont worry about what texts are being shown on the screen, and only stop when they die - or when they blow your nose.

Edit: about your info regarding hits not being registered on screen after a line of text from other players actions, its caused by lag, rest assured.

Ped, I understood perfectly. Your English is fine. I wish I had a second language like you do, but as it is I can barely order a beer in different countries let alone post about video games on a forum like you do. At this point I think it is me not explaining myself well enough. Ill try again.

I initially thought it was lag as well and would simply fly past waiting for the tank to eventually die. If I do that, the tank continues on and bombs the hangars, ship, whatever. The bullets simply stop registering after a certain number and I have to break off my attack and circle around if I want to keep shooting the tank without fear of being shot by a tank shell. I had chalked it up to lag at first and kept my mouth shut, but after repeated tank attacks with the update the results are always the same. If I was clever enough to capture video I could show you what happens.

I have learned to overcome the glitch but wanted to see if anyone else had the same experience and if so make zuperman aware.

Viper are you sure it is not registering and not the chat scroll that seems not moving because it's full?

You easily test, when you think it's not registered, type a quick letter on chat and continue shooting. If the letter doesn't scroll up, it is not registering, if it scrolls up... well, you know it's working.

And if it fails, screen video recording and share the link with us :)

OK, Viper10, seems that we need to see some videos to reach a conclusion.
I posted one (" yet another gameplay footage ") showing how much bullets I needed to kill a tank. For what First Blood said, it takes 14 shots now - is it true, Zup?

Ill try the video thing and see if I can make it work. I will admit I am a bit tech-challenged so I will have to figure it out.

I no longer have a button to record video. Now I guess I have no way to show what I am referring to with this problem.

It just needs more bullets now, guys. Some time ago, only 5 hits and puffff. Now, it takes more than 20 hits, if I am not wrong. Keep shooting, rinse, repeat...

Regardless of how many hits it takes to kill a tank, I LIKE THE WAY IT IS RIGHT NOW.
I used to cry when a single soldier used to kill my tank with nothing more than 5 shots from their guns...
Now tanks are tougher, closer to what they are expected to be: hard to kill.
I like the game the way it is right now. IMHO, nothing needs fixing at all. The only thing needed is to decide weather spawn-tanking near red bases are or are not going to be for everyone.

Someone said it is now 14 shots to kill a tank.

I think it seems a lot more because there is a big lag factor in the game now. The problem with that, is at times I'll get a tank or plane with enough shots that I think I got them, then change direction, only to see I didn't get them. uggghhhh

Well, seeing that Zup is yet to clarify this thing about how many bullets to kill a tank, I presume he is facing some issues on this matter - like different players, on different platforms and versions of the game, killing tanks with more or less bullets spent. I repeat: it is just a guess, so dont throw me any stones by now.

But fact is: there is no more "5 hit kills" - so, keep shooting relentless; its better to spend extra bullets than landing 15 shots and seeing another blue kill the tank with the last shot - or, even worse: seeing the tank killing you because you thought the shots were not registering.

Hi Zup, i am getting a trouble with my arrows (up/down)when i go in tank, until yesterday it was working ok, but today (only when i am in tank) these 2 keys (arrow up and arrow down) does not work, i am using my mouse to aim up and down when i am on tank.
Do you know what is happening?
P.S. I already uninstall and reinstall and nothing done (v 4485 windows 8.1)

Back on topic viper.I totally relate to this wierd glitch you talk about. You line a tank up that is stationary and you pin the trigger not missing a shot you notice the smoke then shortly after boom they're dead. You line up another tank in the exact same manner and open fire,you get closer and closer still no smoke wtf you make a turn around and let rip again.If your lucky you get them to smoke on the second pass and maybe kill them on the third.
Complete inconsistency between players.

EXACTLY! That's what I have been seeing as well, it isn't just registering but not displaying, it simply stops registering hits after a certain number.

As per zuperman, tank will take 20-25 bullets to destroy. means 4 to 5 screen of messages that you have hit the tank.

Yes it takes time to show that the tank has been destroyed which make us to open fire again whereas in previous version when we see we hit tank 5 times we move fwd as we know the destroy msg will come.But now we are unable to count the hits as the hit register msg go on scrolling.

I have a new tank glitch as of today after the latest Windows update.. from within the tank you can't elevate the gun.. just traverse it left and right.. but from outside while moving you can use the mouse to elevate and traverse.. but you can't accurately aim.
