Sure many complaints are justified but when it goes on to constant bashing and it is no longer constructive why should he even keep WC working? Or even the forum for that matter? It might be easier to close everything but the new version of the game and just let a new group of fresh players in without the old guard getting in the way. Other than constructive feedback it's probably just more hassle.

Ok so I just read only every second word, and it was even dumber than if I had read every single one.

That was gold. In fact, I asked a few friends who have achieved success with their games (big studio managers) and they told me just that: shut down chat and forum. There is a reason most mobile games don't have either.
And trust me, after I removed WC from df1, the amount of work I have to deal with has been drastically reduced and it has had zero impact on income.

This has turned into one of the most interesting threads in quite a while. I read the first few posts when it started then just stopped following it until now. Just spent the last half hour or so reading each post.

I started trying out Elite this Spring. My biggest issue was the lack of players. The bullet drop made things a bit different for me. The few games I played, I got chewed up pretty good.

But, the whole World knows I was far from being one of the best in DF1 to begin with. It's always been about having fun and the comeraderi for me. With the crazy long hours and some issues in the real World I haven't played either for a while now. With some upcoming involuntary "too much time on my hands" coming up real soon, I'm looking forward to a "return" to the skies.

Not a fan of WC, but the Forum and Community are a huge part of this game. For those that don't subscribe to the Forum, they're missing out. Change is an inevitable part of everything. Change is also one of the most hated things in Life. But, sooner or later it happens. It's Human Nature to hold on to the things we like and love as long as we can.

I'm anxious to get back to playing, whether it's Elite or DF1, and whether I set a record for the most Deaths ever, I look forward to the coming weeks. Guess my advantage is, from not playing for so long, either version will seem new!

When more people is on Elite i'll work it to my original post, since people just seem to be looking for excuses to say that df1 is better (even if I copied verbatim df1 to elite, they would still say the same, trust me, let's see what's the new excuse now that the timer is basically gone).

I think I found out the solution: ignore them. Otherwise it's going to drive everyone nuts. Someone that says I would quit if world chat is removed, or if this lag continues... and then now that wc is gone, lag is triple than before on df1, they swear by their mother it's a great game... well, do they realize that they lose points on my "feedback and requests" list?

The truth? Df1 is NOT better. Not even close. The problem is that it has more players so everyone flocks there. But that will be solved real real soon.

As you can see, the reason people is not playing on Elite has nothing to do with most of the stuff posted here. I set it free: over 1200 people registered in less than 24 hours, and that without having it also free on Android which is the biggest platform by far.

i downloaded yesterday zup as i use my PC for chat and i play on tablet(i paid for tablet version ) i played yesterday zup everyone was still getting the freeze frame games then all of a sudden the trees just disappeared people said they where shooting planes and 20 to 30 bullets where not killing planes.but i did enjoy the game to be honest with you i played df1 yesterday and its turned into a shit show of dirty play spawn killers /swearing/and pilots with foul names it seems now its comming to a end people see it as a free for all .on the other side of the coin there seems to be a bunch of new players playing (poor noobs are being spawn-killed like crazy tho)

Oh, I purchased it when it first came out. Anyway, so I subscribed yesterday and I'm not seeing any Camaro!

I did, however, finally scroll through the new planes and saw the P-40 Warhawk! Woot!!! Although, it looks like a C or maybe even a D. Personally, I would have gone with at LEAST an E and preferably a K. And then go ahead and throw the dual stage supercharger on that Merlin cause why the hell not?
