Sorry Zup I bet you must be pulling your hair out trying to get this working. Elite just crashes now upon trying to launch the App. Mine goes to the first page that says DF Elite then closes and goes back to my Desktop start page. Thank you for your continued effort.

Sorry that I wasn't able to keep up with these updates yesterday... I got the post-1.0.19 update for windows 10 yesterday around 5 p.m. EST. I played one test-game for 20 minutes, and no problems (then I didn't get a chance to play again last night). Just got out of a zep game, and it's still running smooth as silk. So reverting back to the old Unity seems to have done the trick (at least for windows 10). I'll post if the problem reoccurs, but I'm expecting that it won't.

Thanks so much for the quick fix. And for the record, I think that Elite is awesome (and have thought so since the middle of March, when I abandoned df1 entirely).

I can open and play, still had screen freeze after about 3min of play. Im cursed . Think I should just buy a new system that is not windows

Mine is exactly the same way Cypher. df1 works perfectly though so that's where ill be I guess.

for PC players (Windows 10), if you press the escape button on keyboard the game freezes. Pls check if anyone else have the same issue.

Windows 10 players. I was having the dreaded screen freeze connection problems like most Windows players . As well my Netflix was having terrible picture Quality and buffering occasionally. You ask, how are theses two related. Well Netfix requires Silverlight Download to operate. So I uploaded the most recent Silverlight and Voila! Netflix picture streaming is great. I played about 4 games on Elite tonight without one freeze up or disconnection. How these two different Apps are related is above my computer knowledge. That said I thought it prudent to share this here in hopes that this might help other players experiencing this issue as well. Its worth a shot.

wow, if that's the trick to fix it, it would be the oddest thing I've seen in a long time. Silverlight is not required by Dogfight at all. Something on Windows must be attached to the Silverlight package internally

I don't use Netflix or windows 10, but I can sure look for the Silverlight download and give it a whirl.

Update: I was in a game of elite without getting booted. WOOT!

As a follow-up I tried again last night; three games all kicked in less than 5 minutes. I had silverlight installed and updated already.

I've been getting a LOT of lag, where I will hit someone about 10 times and they never die, or they do after about 30 seconds. If I quit and join again it's fine for awhile, but then goes back to the lag.

It's weird, but it seemed to me that lag isn't really dependent on how many planes are in a game. It almost seems like the lag is on some kind of cycle.

I've played in loaded games with lag, then the lag just vanishes. I've paid in 1 on 1, or 2 on 1 games that lag worse than the loaded games. To the best of my recollection, the pilots in those games made up 90-100% of the names in the online list.

How are the servers split up at the moment? Are there DF1 and Elite games running on the same server? If not, it would seem to rule out heavy DF1 use effecting Elite games.
.
