Nevermind the fact that with a win 8.1 laptop I cannot compete with my fellow pilots. With or without ordnance I am an easy target for everyone. Its the constant lost conn that I just cannot seem to get away from. One run, maybe 3-5 minutes, and the game freezes and off I go.

Its really a frustrating time in DF history. I am ready to give it a long break until the game is sorted

I am a pc player windows 10 and always get empty games only except when madbull or jimmy is playing. It's been over a month that I haven't seen a game other than these two.

So I am back to df1 till the issue is resolved as there is no point playing empty games in elite.

Hope unity brings the update soon as it's already 3 days over the deadline set by zuperman.

Zup pointed out that he can't keep updating DF1 without eliminating a lot of the players that are on older devices. The only way around it was creating a new platform.

I don't like elite, I'd much rather pay to play this, the original, ... my 2 cents

Can't do updates to df1 cuz of eliminating players with older devices.... no offense, but seems players with older devices have been eliminated anyhow cuz u gotta have platform preferences and certain os to run that too

Then people will just have to upgrade their devices. That's how technology works and is the world we live in.
Years ago I had to upgrade my original cell phone because it was no longer supported.
I had to upgrade my analogue TV to an HD flatscreen- either that or run an antenna.

Zup should have left DF1 as WW1, and update as needed.
Then make Elite as a WW2 version.
And don't offer free versions anymore. The game is established now and has a large faithful following.

I already said it, I'm waiting on Unity release. I'm stuck until they fix the crashes on different devices.
There is even a link to the thread on Unity if anyone wants to follow it. It's not affecting only Dogfight, it's a major issue that I don't understand why they are taking so long to solve.

The minute I get them to send me a fix, I publish a new release. I'm as anxious as everyone since it's ton of work that is delayed just waiting on them.

Thank you, Zuperman. your recent posts have shed a lot of light on the situation. we all are looking foreward to the fixes, and wish there was something we could do to get unity to move more quickly.
you would not be hearing all the complaints if your game was not so terrific. As has been mentioned before, great as the game is, the COMMUNITY around it is even better.

Got the update from the store and installed it. Now I have 420000/420000 showing at the top which will not change regardless of kills, chute landings, etc. Also, still getting screen freeze within a few minutes of joining.

Anyone else having the same luck with the update or am I just cursed?

Nope, someone else on windows was having the same problem. I spent 1 hour this evening playing against this person trying to nail down the cause but Murphy's law... never froze while playing with me.

I'll be looking at it during tomorrow since crash bugs are the highest priority.

About the points, ignore those... it's frozen there becase I unlocked the ranks for a few minutes and then all Apple devices began crashing. So I had to lock them back until Apple releases the 1.0.17 update.

Just finished playing a capture plague um I mean flag...did not freeze or lose connection. But my plane is sofa king slow. I was in the Camel...I bet an Eindecker could bring me down...without dropping its bombs...Win 10 also.

I'm sorry Brothers I quit this game . The small sight was bad the lol lost conn not fun and no servers made it impossible to get back in game after lost conn. NOW THE BOX FOR GOD SAKE IT ! it take any skill left in the game out and omg yes it looks so real flying boxes my god.

Read a few posts above. He said he had to lock points till Apple realeases newest update.

Still getting screen freezes mid-game. madbull was in one of them with me and he said no issues with his windows based game, just mine apparently.

Also now when you enter a game the type of game is normally incorrect. I got into a game which said dogfight, but was really a destroy enemy hangars. Next got into a destroy the enemy carrier game which turned out to be a dogfight game.

Lucky for me, my screen froze and booted me from both games.

Zup, is this only happening to me? I really cannot play elite for any length of time without experiencing the screen freeze of death.

No it's not only you, but it seems to be a driver issue because it does not happen to many (I had zero freezes, not even once). Check the windows updates and also check if there is a new driver for your graphic card.
Do you have an NVidia card?

Oh, and I'm monitoring the Unity forums to see if I can exactly find out the issue. Apparently it's 5% of the windows players who have this issue based on Unity stats.

I do not know the model of my graphic card, but I can do some research and find out. I have been messing with the updates to see if that was the issue and all my updates are good to go. Ill go back and check though.

If you are on windows 8/10 that info you can find easily. On your search box type "system information", it will popup the system information program. Expand the "components" area, then select "display". It will tell you all info about your graphic card. Name, Adapter Description, etc...
