Just a warning, guns are shooting people. I'm not sure how they pull their own trigger, but it's happening again. Maybe there are two and they are pulling each others triggers. At this point all we know is that guns are dangerous and could turn on us at any moment.

Just in, other people can be trusted (Even strangers) are safe, they can help you hide from the guns that want to cause harm. You can especially count on those people who are carrying knives, bats, axes, golf clubs, etc. They can protect you.

That's why the world watches, in a very REGULAR BASIS (at least once per year!!!!!), people of many countries taking their cars and using them to mass-kill innocent people. We have how much? more 200 countries in the world? Hey, so we have 200 mass-murders by carr every year? Am I missing something? Or do we have 200 mass-murders by kitchen-knives every year in the world? Or do we have 200 mass-murders by baseball bats EVERY YEAR in the world? Perhaps the TV doesn't show knives-cars-bat mass-murders, huh? Am I missing something? Why TV shows only GUN mass-murders every year? And why does these mass-murders don't occur in every single one of the more than 200 countries in the world????

There are gun mass-murders in other countries? Yes. Here in Brazil, some years ago, we got a crazy guy who entered a school doing something nasty. But it doesn't occurs ALMOST EVERY YEAR. And if one make some research, to get how many gun-mass-murders per year occurs in the world, he/she would be SHOCKED by relizing which country gets more numbers than the REST OF THE WORLD...

Oh there have been vehicles mentioned in mass killings ....an AVP vehicle full or explosives was responsible for the Bali bombings and thene there are a few of those that have happened in America as well ....lets ban APVs ....and fertalisers and diesel that when combined can be responsible for mass murder . Well Jacob. Lets see. The gun does nothing on its own. Its the idiot behind it. I am a gun owner and an avid hunter (not for sport that makes me sick) meat in the freezer. Better than the grocery store. Those who are anti gun I feel want to be a victim not all but some. Just so they have something to complain about. I just hope you guys NEVER get a relative murdered by a gun-owner - let alone an innocent child. Because I am quite sure that, if it occurs, you will change your oppinion immediately. One of my ex-girlfriends lost her youngest brother - a headshot. It was 25 years ago, and until today my little hometown's citizens still feel that loss. He got killed by a weaker, younger boy. I wish that boy had a kitchen knife, or a baseball bat in his hands: in that case, his young victim could be alive now. OK, no baseball bats in Brasil, maybe a car?
Fact is: every year, I see this same kind of news on TV, and I ask myself: "When will USA citizens realize that losing dozens of innocent people (children!) every year is a nasty price to pay for their civilian right to have guns?"

All I said is my fork makes me fat. However, since we wanna push it. Owning guns for us is a right...start taking away right and its not criminals they should worry about. History shows what happens when you attempt to tick off Americans. No government is or ever will be in a position of any such attempt. The government stupid enough to try better run and hide. I like my guns..all of them. I will never part with them and they have no mind of their own. Ok, owning guns is a right. The problem is that we are not allowed to discuss the underlying cause of these murders because a certain faction of the US is too afraid that they won't be able to buy the latest clip on device for their AR-15 if we do talk about it.

Interesting fact. Holmes ( the kid that shot up the movie theatre) had one of those 100 round mags for his AR-15. It jammed, which probably saved a lot of lives. So, in a sense, banning those is pointless.

Another fact. His shrink KNEW that he had inclinations to do exactly this, but was not allowed to speak to law enforcement about it because of HIPPA laws.

I just wish that people on both sides of the aisle would calm the freak down, so that we can have a frank discussion about why this keeps happening. The right wants no discussion, the left wants bans that won't accomplish anything. Neither is looking at the cause, which is how mental health is treated in this country. I don't think there is a single person that could look me in the eye, and say that without a cursory glance at this Oregon shooter's on-line rants, that he should have been allowed to buy anything more dangerous than a Nerf gun. Yet, every gun he bought was done so legally.

I get that "the rest of the world'" don't really understand the American way of life and the gunlaws in the US.
Sure, wherever in the world there is no functioning policeforce, because of the vastness on the country, or the corruption, the ignorance or the lack of means of the gouvernments, people may arm themselves for self protection.

The problem here in Europe, like in most of the world is that everyone is influenced by the "american way of life" in the media.
Gun related violence and crime were a rarity here, and still are the exception, but it is everywhere on tv, internet, games etc..
If it is considered cool, or desirable to now own a gun, a market for it will devellop. The gun lobby is doing its job succesfully.

I wonder what kind of anarchy should break out for the governments here to say that it can be up to anyone to decide if and how they can arm themselves with firearms. It won't be an American dream, but a European mightmare.

I have guns...I have fired many rounds...I haven't ever killed anyone or anything. I have recently cooked a nice piece of deer meat that was delicious and now I may choose to hunt next season. If all guns were banned I would hunt by other means. I could make traps, I could use a bow, I could use a bomb if I wanted to, but I will use a gun because it is the most efficient tool that I have.

If I really wanted to, I could kill with a knife, but it would be barbaric and risky (for my own health and the games health).

I wish no harm on other people, but if I did I would not need a gun.

Too many people in the US are prescribed dangerous psychotropic drugs for simple things that could be handled by therapists, if they did their job instead of giving out chemicals like candy. I would like to see what would happen if we didn't get drugs for our "poblems" but help instead.
