hello all thank you for thinking about me. I appreciate all the efforts taken to keep in contact with me. Sorry I haven't been on the forum for awhile also. I guess I owe you all an explanation.

Yes I've been playing another game, I'm now number 51 and I really want that number one spot. Lol I'll get it someday. It's not an online game but it's fun.

First off let me say thank you to sir ZUPERMAN. You sir have given me years of great fun and many friendships. Someday I would love to shake your hand.

In an effort to improve the game ZUPERMAN has inadvertently made changes that had a negative impact on the game.

When I first spawned into the game it was instant addiction. It only took two shots to bring you down and the good players ( remember blue max, parrot head, dentinhead and mc cudden) could pick you off from across the map. Wow it was so great.

The last time I played the lag was atrocious. It never was that bad in the beginning.

I also had some players who were twisting all over the place and they would easily get behind me and once they did I never saw them again. I was easily shot down from behind. In the older days when it only took 2 shots to shoot them down and we were able to keep them from getting past us at least 50 % of the time. Now it's almost impossible. It was horrible and absolutely no fun at all.

Success in the game is no longer dependent upon skill.

If I were ZUPERMAN I would return to the game as it was 2 1/2 years ago. That's only my opinion but I know that almost all of the older folks also agree with me. I guess what I'm saying is that the older format was more fun.

Now I will soon start playing again as I want to be the first player to hit 200,000.

No explanation needed Davy. Many of us have scaled back on gameplay, and or dropped subscriptions. 1.99 is not much money but i cant make myself pay month after month for something broken. I read this forum everyday, i have heard all, and tried most of the solutions to the number one problem, horrendous lag, sometimes as much as 25 seconds, and none of them are better than part time solutions. Be sure to keep in touch here. Many of us got addicted to this game because of you shooting us down with ease. I wanted to be that good and so stuck it out, but i am down to less than one game a day now.

You mean your plane used to could only survive 2 shots? Wow! I'm glad that's not the case any more! Sounds like it would have been pretty frustrating!

Yeah I've slowed down a lot from how much I used to play my average kill count was in the hundreds per day, last i checked it was 2 kills on average per day and dropping. the game just isn't the same anymore. No more getting in a game with all 8 players being members of your squad no more mock squad wars,getting squad mates in a moraf game together maybe if you're lucky.

Back in the day you could find a game that was 6 vs 2 man that was a blast but those day's are long gone now never to return because someone couldn't handle uneven games. Those are the game's that make you a great player and i miss the challenge of being out numbered in a game.

No sir not at all. It was great. It took only 2 shots to down a plane and if you were good you could do it from across the screen. It really taught you skill and accuracy in addition it was much harder for folks to get behind you. I think it was preferred over what's happening today.

Yes. Now you can pour in hits and not know it until 15 show up at once and it says you were killed by your target. Then after that it will say you got them. Maybe.

Sir Crockett, I have been here about 2 years. You have had the biggest impact on me, along with BlueMax. So accurate with the long shots. Meeting you and shaking your hand (not to mention kissing your wife) was a true honor. I'm sure we will still talk and Email. I agree with all who have posted and also have scaled back. Lately, the primary reason is a server in the green showing full. Lag is horrible and so much worse than it was on my first day. I remember getting shot over and over by blue max and several others whom with the exception of blue, I've learned to take down...sometimes over and over I do miss the game and I'm trying to not lose hope for its improvements. I'm not the same caliber as Davy or hulk, but sure would love the chance to continue. As it is now, it didn't appear so.

I can remember when we could easily change sides. 6 of us could just overpower games for hours at a time. It was so much fun and there were times when we could be the one or two against the 6. What a blast. Making the games to be even all the times was the single worst improvement of the game. The second worst improvement was taking away the two shot kill.

Their are many games out there that are fun but nothing even comes close to dogfight especially the older format. My prayer Is that someday it will go back to what it was.

I really miss you here, because you are a great pilot, good humor man, i always appreciated plays with or against you (but i always loose lol).

No way! Are you kidding? Where's the fun in getting shot down in 2 hits? How fair is it with uneven teams? It doesn't sound like it used to be fun at all! The way it is now is a lot better! There's still room for more improvement.

I've been playing this game for about a year and a half now and always thought the 2 shot kills were ridiculous.. even worse from machinegun ranges that fighter planes nowadays still don't have! lol! And now especially with the planes being 50% larger it would be even worse. However I do definitely agree that having even teams 99% of the time takes away lots of the fun that existed before and is perhaps the single worst change done to the game.. followed by the humongous gap that exists now between the freebie planes and top planes. Def not fair to newer players in the least and it seems as though we're never going to see planes grouped together in missions by the time-period they flew in.. which only makes sense as a pilot flying an Eindecker NEVER EVER saw a Sopwith Camel F.1 in the air back then lol!

Glad to hear you're not leaving the game entirely with wanting to hit 200,000 so I guess I will still be shot down by you occasionally lol!

Everyone looks up to someone Monster...you have taught me lots. You are without a doubt in the same caliber as Davy and Hulk. You are far too classy and modest to say so. So I'll say it for you!

Well Davey what can I say . You have taught me how to go from PC to Ipad when I decided to live in Bali for a while ....lol still here .....ok for a long while . As I said to TR I so miss our dawn patrol and the way we used to laugh and joke as we tore the reds apart like the three musketters . I learned so much from watching you and the older pilots , so it is sad to see how the new players are acting out rhe game . I guess it reflects a lot about the younger generation in particular . There are a few honourable younger players like Dest who obviously have high morals and take on board the bullying ......ahhhh teaching of Sir Hulk and Monster and all the great pilots out there who take the time to show you how the game should be played . Wumper you are a great foe and I have missed running into pilots as great as yourself . Sting Ray 70 I wouldnt expect a new player such as yourself to understand . The game was better ....much better when I was just a wet behind the ears pilot who was so eager to learn off the best . As a Misfit I will continue on as I love this game and all the wonderfull people I have met along the way . Meeting with Punk and Howard was a fantastic day that I wont forget ever . I just started playing again, and I have found that I do even better than I used to. Lag happens sometimes but I almost never end up with a negative k/d ratio in games now.

Allow me to enlighten your ignorance. When I first started back in 2013, it was indeed only 2 hits to kill a plane. It was only 5 hits to kill a tank. It took 10 bombs or tank hits to kill the carrier. We used to only be able to carry one bomb, but could get two hangers with that one bomb. The game ran exorbitantly smoother. I spent more time outnumbered than I did with either even or odds in my favor. I loved it. I cherished my time on it. Would fly for hours. It was beyond challenging, but I and most that I played with and against, loved it. We were addicted. Now it isn't even playable. The game has no challenge. There is no incentive. It's just a giant, laggy clusterf*#%. I haven't picked up this game in a couple of months and I don't really miss it. Not worth the trouble anymore. I love this community and the friendships I have made so that's why I stay. If you had played then you would know and understand.

I understand your frustration; I have been campaigning for fixes that never come, waiting for squad wars that is still a pipe dream, and hearing about a new DF that I'm not holding my breath for. Meanwhile my plane is twice as big and half as fast, and turns like a battleship dragging an anchor. The lag is so bad I put the brake on after a run and count the lag hits, which sound like rain on a tin roof, while unclenching my teeth from shooting marshmallows at all the reds.

I understand, but know you will be missed.

I am with you Davy. It was so much more fun when it actually took some skill and dedication to succeed at this game. with the way things are set up now I feel like all those months of staying up all night for "just one more game" trying "just a few more kills" were all for not. I too have drasticly scaled back by gameplay for many reasons. But, I also still love the game, its just that..... with my severe allergy to change it dosent give me the satisfaction it used too.

Sadly Davy I too have scaled back my playing of this game. I miss the days of taking out an opponent, getting shot down and having to parachute safely to the ground to retain the points. I miss the 2 hit kills, the 5 hit on a tank and the ability to have mock squad wars. I had my butt handed to me when I started playing this game and it forced me to become a skilled player. I looked forward to being outnumbered and enjoyed it just as much when one side was entirely made up of squad members regardless of the squad.

So things progress and things change, this we all know and understand, sadly the change here came as a result of a few who didn't like getting beaten in a game by those who were beaten and became greatly skilled players. We all learned how to use physics of the game before the changes which are obsolete in the current state.

I can't help but notice that some of those who begged for change are now dissatisfied with the results in which they asked for. I miss playing with my friends and squad mates and being able to switch to help when one was outnumbered regardless of who they are.

So those who wanted an arcade version of df got it and as a result many have moved away from what was in my opinion one of the best multiplayer games for mobile devices. So many advocates now realizing that these changes have nullified all those hard learned lessons and skills we all used to enjoy showing off in a game.
