Ok im not trying to beat a dead horse here. But we have not had a df bbq in a while. Ok your in a bombing game. If you drop your bombs you can sure as monkey poo someone on the other side is going to drop theirs. So don't whine and cry about it when your enemy counters your move. Now that being said when your seriously out numbered like five one one thats cool. We understand that. But dont forget its a bombing mission. Many of us have spent so many hours.months .years. developing skills to be able to fight with bombs.i was in a game where a droppper was bitchin that an enemy had dropped. Just think if you didnt drop he would not have dropped. And also since you wanted to drop i went wide not off radar but wide enough for my team to keep you busy. I have no time for droppers

I have been easy pickings for droppers in bombing missions for awhile. Well, I am adopting a new strategy. While I prefer to fly with two bombs, I will no longer hesitate to drop and pursue a dropper. Most droppers don't like it and will leave.

Seriously though, Fried, quit being such a pain. I don't know how old you are, but this forum has seen plenty of mature people too young to even join MOM! Hell, Brian Strachen's son used to play, and he was 8! Great kid, loved to fly with him. For being so young, he never once said anything rude or remotely irritating. He could carry a decent conversation about what he learned in school that day, and never once spammed the forum. If you insist on posting random crap here, do what us kids did a while ago: Make a thread for it. Anyone who doesn't want to deal with it will happily stay clear.

So when you drop to counter the dropper, don't you feel silly after you get him? I know I do, flying around bomb-less in a bombing mission. Normally I will fly off to the side and wait until the dropper respawns so I can address him/her again. Naturally during this time is when inevitably someone carrying bombs will try to pursue me and accuse me of dropping. I mean, duh.

Yep i try to rearm.with bombs. I feel.silly in a boming game without a bomb. Its the guys that drop then cry when someone drops to counter. Then its i have a crappy plane. Most of tye time their in the eindecker thats one of the best bombing planes in the game. If its flown right. Theyvalways try and trun fight in it. Thats a death sentence. The spad with a bomb is still super maneuverable quick agile. If they just took the time to ask.questions most every pilot is more than willing to help.

Not at all. I have the option of returning to base and reload which I have done. Or just remain bombless and make the dropper my sole focus for the mission until he/she leaves. I would rather do that than be their easy pickins everytime I approach the target.

Nope...i don't feel silly. I'll rearm if near my base...if I had to drop near his base, then I will make sure my team bombs...never a pretty sight. I don't choose to play that way, but I'm going to match reds for what they want. Usually a dropper looking to pad stats will leave. But I will always carry unless matched with a dropper...sometimes I win...sometimes I don't. If nothing more, ill keep him busy while my team squeaks by to bomb.

That's about what I do as well, but if I am mid field and bomb-less I feel useless. Ill rearm if close to my base too. I agree about what happens when matched with a dropper and I have found they do often leave if they are equally matched and unable to pad their stats. I sure don't choose to play that way either as the whole point of the mission is to bomb the hangars/carrier but sometimes feel my hand is forced.

Might be a little off of the subject here but, I would just like to say that, as a bomber, it sucks when there are 2 dogfighting in the middle of the field in a bombing mission. You know that you will have to fly by them usually and your a sitting duck because your slow and can be easily took down when you get close. So now what do you do? Shoot into the mix and take a chance on hitting a blue? Thats what I do.

I'm not saying drop or dont drop. Circumstances can warrant anything. But if you find yourself in a tangle right in the middle of the path most traveled can you not try to keep the reds attention and draw him away from incoming bombers? Was that not your plan when you dropped anyhow, to protect bombers? If/when he pulls away to shoot a bomber you can easily pull in behind him and take him out.

Not off the subject at all Kasey. I will try that if I am the one yankin and bankin right in the middle. Normally I am too preoccupied to remember to try to draw the reds away. Drawing reds away is always a good tactic and sometimes better than just shooting them down. If they are busy they wont respawn at their base and be able to shoot the incoming bombers down.
