As for the password I would say that's to use your account payment system, same for Android

ok... I think you are mistakenly mixing things. Amazon will ask you for your account password for any payment. It is amazon the one asking you for your username/pass to make sure you are the person subscribing.

It is not Dogfight asking you for that info.

This is what happens:
Step 1: you hit the subscribe button on Dogfight.
Step 2: Dogfight tells Amazon: hey, this person wants to subscribe, I let you handle it while I wait.
Step 3: Amazon says: sure, confirm this is you and not someone that stole your kindle. So tell me your username/password (to amazon, not to dogfight).
Step 4: If Amazon verifies your payments, it goes back to Dogfight and tells: he just subscribed, all yours.
Step 5: Back to Dogfight. Dogfight got the message from Amazon that you subscribed (never your password, just a 'subscribed' message). And it registers it on Dogfight servers.

I hope that's clear.

Ah. I see. Thanks Zup. Sorry for the misunderstanding..

Lag seems to be marginally better but I have a new problem, the game now seems to "stutter" I.e. the screen freezes momentarily. This is happening every game, sometimes infrequently, sometimes every 5 to 10 seconds. The freeze is probably only 1/2 a second or so but it seems longer when you are mid-fight and it really throws you off your game.

I have turned all eye candy down (clouds off, detailed explosions off etc) to see if my Nexus 10 was struggling with graphics but its no different and the problem remains.

Also an old problem, my name/rank are half missing from the top left of the screen during gameplay.

I paid the subscription, turned off all of the nifty effects, and had a grand game with about 8 others with folks coming and going. Played like it did when I first started a year or more ago. Thanks Zup! Merry Christmas!

I get the same thing at about the same spot in the game every time I take off from the south runway and clear the ridge headed to the North base.... Win 8.1 on a tab....
