I have a question...immediatly after dropping my bombs on a hangar i get a message reading 'bomber repaired' and not really sure what that means to my game play at the moment or how to exploit that to my advantage?

when u bomb a hangar that message comes on ur screen telling that u r the bomber and u r repaired and sometimes when u r hit and smoking and u bomb an hangar if the message comes then ur plane is repaiered it can again bear 2 hits

getting repaired is a perk of bombing a hangar. none of the other missions offer any repair except bomb the base. i am guessing that the idea was to give you a chance to get hit once coming in, and once going out without going down.

Yes that is what is was intended for so pilots could return to their base. For some that's what its used for. But to many people use it for hard core camping and spawning. You know why leave when you've been repaired and have no bomb. Never been a big fan of it. That one update where it was not in the game camping and spawn killing dropped off to almost nothing. It was bomb and run for your life

I was playing a game today and the mission was bomb carrier. number of reds:1. 1 particular pilot first bombed carrier then camped all through the game. we were telling him to stop but he ignored us. I think it's a question of what values each pilot has. in an other game I fought my way to a hanger and bombed it. I turned back to base but I was chased by an enemy fighter so I was forced to engage. the problem was the enemy didn't at any point allow me to return to base without shooting at my back. when I made it to base my plane was smoking :/ I think that camping expecially when the enemy is out ranked or outnumbered as cowardly. I don't really know how this habbit can be effectively stopped. maybe a temporary ban to pilots who are constantly camping? ( evidence has to be provided of course)

While it should not be happening just out of courtesy, in unbalanced games there really is nothing that can be done about it. Just realize that it's okay to lose some.

Why RTB with an in-range bomber knocking on the door?
Why RTB when your teammate is in a tank and in range of the target?
Why RTB if your opponent is an insanely good shot and you were lucky enough to make it through on your 30th try?
Why RTB if the potential game winner is en route?
Why RTB if you are being shot at while trying to exit?

Plenty of valid reasons to stay put. An uncontested advancement by your team should, on paper, increase their odds of a successful bombing run.

On the other hand, there are reasons and times you should RTB. Don't be blinded by "honor". Do what is good for your team, not the enemy.

Why leave for home if you dont have enough ammo to leave for home anyway?

The point is.....I like the perk and without the bomber repair one is less able to return to base.

Yes!

What honor is there in making a successful bombing run; which is usually paved by numerous casualties blue and red, and then once you have scored your hit, abandon your team? For what? So the reds can get back on their feet after your team (not just you) pushed them all the way back to their base?

Not returning-to-base does not mean that you have to stay and spawn kill. It may make sense if your teammates are coming over the last hill. But if you just disengage from the fight you are wasting your team's opportunity.

Honor? Lol.


Remember, this is one perspective. It's just as valid as some other opposing view points. Just because someone has a different point of view does not make them "wrong". As I see it the only wrong is in trying to force or shame them into adopting your view. Most of the Flaming forum posts seem to come from situations where someone tells someone else how to play the game and things get worse from there. The cases that a really worthy of blacklisting are for rule breaking, not for clashes of gaming style.
