Theres something called luck, every one has luck, you get lucky id you shoot a D8 down in a spad, your not skilled, because as soon as that D8 drops its bombs, your out of luck, and no skill going to save you then, Shoot a D8 with his bombs dropped head on, thats just luck, he could have just as easly got you too. So Mr skilled I Dare you to proove your skills, Take a Spad drop your bombs and fight a D8 without its bombs, Then you can tell me you have skill

skill= I bet I can shoot u head on (in ur d8(if u have one)) more times than u can shoot me down

Skill=I bet I can merk u and 3 other reds in my d8 and bomb 2 of ur hangars

skill=just look at my stats bro lol

Well.the blaze what your really talking about are droppers. In a bombing mission. Should they be there no. And here's one for you when the new planes came out I bought the ans decked them out full upgrades. Then an update took them all away and left me with only lower treir planes nonhad any upgrades I flew in my spad did all the upgrades never buying one coin wentvto my next plane did the same now almost all of my planes.are.fully upgraded with the exception of two bombs and I never bought a coin so don't tell me it can't be done. And I have all four top planes and I got them the old fashion way I earned them. And that little pusher plane is way better than the pice of junk we had when I started

if thats true, take on my challenge in the DF News topic. You should be able to do it from what you've told me

Though I agree with the level of concentration it takes to kill the d8, I will also admit that I many times will switch just to battle the d8. It takes a little practice and steady hands, but it can be taken down easily. I'm not the best by any stretch, but I do get them quite a few times in game....d8 pilots have even left the game.

I like conversations that stay on topic.

And I believe when Eagle started this thread the topic of conversation was about the diminishment of fun due to the D8’s disrupting the balance of the game. I agree wholeheartedly with Eagle.

I had more fun before the D8.

If we keep the conversation limited to the topic of enjoyment, i.e. avoiding talk of skill, upgrades, seniority, and "I-bet-I'm-better-than-you" banter, I wonder how many of us agree that they had more enjoyment playing the game before the release of the D8.

So, it comes to this: Did you enjoy more DF before or after the D8?

I'm probably putting myself out on a limb here, but I enjoy the challenge the new D8 provides. I will be one of the first to admit that the sleek planes are a pain to hit on a head-on, but there is somehow more satisfaction to be got from downing one of these than, say, one of the beginner planes. As far as being an unfair advantage for the German side, I honestly don't see how. I can give it stiff turning competition in my fully upgraded SE5a, and when attacking it head-on at a slight angle, the bullets find the mark just as easily as if the D8 were one of the flying red bricks from a couple months ago Mike, I'll be right behind ya in swapping sides to get more practice downing the D8!! Practice makes perfect, right?

I don't having the D8 around... Being a mostly Allied flyer, facing off against the D8 trains/forces me to become a better shot, tactician and team player. Come to think of it, the team playing aspect is one of the most under-utilized aspects of the game...

That said, I don't mind Longrifle's idea of making the D8 slower than the SPAD and SE5A. I actually don't mind making the SPAD the new brick (because it is in real life) for as long as it lives up to its real life reputation as one of the fastest planes of wartime WWI. As the French described it "It flies like the wind!". Think of it as a reward for the newer lower ranked pilots for graduating to the higher levels as well as finally having an affordable plane that can allow them to fight on more even terms with the top tiers.

IMO, the D8 doesn't need to have it's size increased. just make it a bit slower.

i shoot down d8s all day i have no issues with them, i enjoy the challenge and the extra satisfaction from taking them down. if you read my post i didnt complain about them my friend. (I have one in my banner!) my issue is that they cause too many pilots as stated in the first post of this topic to refuse to fly allied. I just want to see something where pilots will fly allied again so there are people on both teams and less 5 vs 2s

I'm.with you on that its seems to be all about having advantage. I have no problems shooting it down. But if zup put a more competitive plane on the allied.side people would fly more on both sides. I had a thread about changing top allied plane to the f4 buzzard. Its small fast and agile it would be a good match up against the d8

I didnt start this thread to complain about "how hard it is to shoot the d8 down" I started this thread to start a movement because im sick of being out numbered when aillied and most the time im the only mofo on my team (when I have one) actully trying. Most ppl when allied get shot down by base and jumps in a tanks, while 8/10 im the only allied 2 vs 6 actully trying. And no I dont try because I think im gonna win. I try so I can not only better myself as a fighter but prove to the rest of my team (whos given up) and all those who ONLY play on d8 how much of a badass I am......was that clear?

Yep I'm.tired of being the only dumb bastard on the allied side or having to fly with a noob against four five or six d8. Pleas check out the f4 buzzard thread. Maybe it will get people to fly allied side again. That's provided zup pays any attention to it

I understand what you are saying Charli8, I've been trying to do the same thing. I take whatever hand I'm dealt when I log into a server, but if I get German I've been using the old D.V - it took so bloody long to reach MORAF that I'm going to use the zebra plane every chance I get lol! The truth is, when I use the D8 it seems to be too easy to make kills, and if the allied side is filled with newer players they end up leaving one by one - a lot of games actually start off balanced - as I shoot them down over and over, getting closer and closer with my two bombs.

Look, I'm all for trial by fire, honing skills, and learning to adapt - I'm not exactly crying my eyes out here, I've been shooting the things down more and more. But I will point out that the D8 has caused quite the uproar around here - that many players can't be wrong, that many players can't be crybabies, and maybe it's time for Zuperman to reevaluate.....
