When I say perverted I mean content that is twisted out of context. I don't believe their are any perverts here in the sense that you are talking about Davy. In real life I call someone a pervert who distorts the truth. I'm not sure if that is what trinity was insinuating. I locked this thread and am hoping that you and everyone else will use the forum and game for what it was intended. Also hoping that everyone can come out, shake hands, group hug and be friends.

I don't know what got deleted Max, all I saw was your post on agreeing to disagree before you edited, and that was a great point.

Since this thread is not dying a natural death, I'll try to wrap it up. Or fuel the fire, whichever way it goes. To the recent comments:

Moderating a thread or a post is a judgment on content. It's a judgment on the poster only in that the person posted it. Reread my original post here.

The judgment on people came with Trinity's post. Supportive of the direction the moderators took, but not necessary. Kind of like when I'm talking to my younger kid about something she did wrong, and the older kid starts into her. I reply, "I got this - THANK YOU - you are not helping me." And I disagree with Trinity's characterization. An actual pervert would be banned for life. This was simply an attempt at humor that fell off the tracks as posts got added. Anyway, Trinity, you are not helping to close this.

Then we have Dave and others continuing the masturbation innuendo theme. Perhaps innocent, or perhaps a passive-aggressive No answer to my question, "Can we be done now?" Doesn't matter, I chose to ignore it. But I will mention it here to supplement my comment on Trinity's unnecessary poke. Knock it off already. You also are not helping to close this. If you hadn't kept it up, perhaps Trinity would not have seen it necessary to throw in an unneeded (and inaccurate) characterization.

Posts that are graphically sexual in nature are NOT appropriate here. "Real life" is not a defense for content that runs over the guideline of PG13. No one moderator made this call; we talked about it, and Joaquin supports the line we drew.

And the fact that other posts go un-moderated does not change the line. I for one do not read all of the posts, and I know the other mods pick and choose as well. We discuss anything that worries us on the 13 year old and mixed audience guideline, and the most troubling ones are threads that are dogpiling in a bad direction, because they stay at the top of the Recent Topics for everyone to see.

Can we PLEASE be done now?
