Thanks Mav! This community has already done too much. Thanks to tbuilt and Snake the latest grant is complete. I'm really awed by the kindness and generosity of some many here. I do a bit of moaning and groaning in some of the other threads, but the people that make up this virtual community are amazing. I am really glad I stumbled on to this game and forum. I count myself fortunate to be part of it. Thank you again for all the support for the students, but most of all thank you for just being who y'all are.

Happy bird,
PH

I am thrilled to see all this support and that she is getting the tools she needs to help those deserving children get a step up in life.

There is nothing better than to see a smile on a child's face!

Here is the note I got from your Mrs. last night in case anyone did not receive it.

Mrs. Swain just got the news that Going from iCan't to iCan: Special Ed Learning with iPads reached its goal:

"My students are going to be THRILLED that we have another iPad for the classroom! They have been using the one we have for spelling, handwriting practice, math, reading, and communication skills. Some of my students have difficulty concentrating or even using a writing utensil..." The rest of the note is on the link below.

Below is a message from Mrs. Parrot:

My students are going to be THRILLED that we have another iPad for the classroom!  They have been using the one we have for spelling, handwriting practice, math, reading, and communication skills.  Some of my students have difficulty concentrating or even using a writing utensil so this has been a true blessing for them.  Having technology that makes their lives easier is helping them overcome some of the difficulties they face every day.  Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!

This and the photos of the children is inspiring.

Just got a letter from Mrs. Parrot thanking everyone for their contributions that enabled her to get another I-Pad for her classroom.

Dear Martin Squad member with parrot head,
I want to take this opportunity to thank you for generous donation. Because of your donation, our classroom was able to get another iPad and case to use in our everyday learning. The students love to play the many games on the iPad and don't even realize they are learning! My classroom is not a traditional classroom. I have student Kindergarten through 3rd grade students that are able to utilize this one device to work on their individual goals. Children with disabilities are often overlooked when the funding for technology is given out even though they can benefit the most. Because of your donation, we were able to utilize technology in which we otherwise would not have had access to. Again, thank you on the behalf of my students and their families for having such kind and generous hearts.

I am enclosing some of the pics to show you how thankful they are.
